Before the appointment, I sent him the design and paid the deposit but received no pre appointment instructions. I even reached out to ask basic questions such as whether I should shave my stomach for the placement. My DM went unanswered. When I commented publicly asking the question, he replied there saying that commenting was not a good way to communicate, despite the fact that my DM had already gone unanswered. On the day of the appointment I informed him I was running about 15 minutes behind while waiting for an Uber, since I had received no preparation instructions. He responded that the appointment was at 1 PM and that he expected to start on time. I apologized twice and even told him I would leave a tip for the inconvenience, which I did. During the tattoo itself, the work was fine, but I became physically uncomfortable because he repeatedly rested his entire arm across my pelvis area while tattooing. I was wearing gym shorts and no underwear and felt my personal space was being invaded. I froze in the moment because it was also the most painful part of the tattoo. Later, I privately messaged him in what I intended to be a light way of addressing it, mentioning his arm resting on my pelvis during the session. Instead of acknowledging the concern, he interpreted the message as if I were coming on to him, which was completely untrue. The reality was that I was trying to express that I felt physically uncomfortable during the session. Rather than taking accountability or addressing the concern professionally, he blocked me and left the tattoo unfinished after already requiring full payment. He can keep the money. I will gladly find a tattoo artist who communicates professionally, provides clear appointment instructions, respects personal space during sessions, and takes accountability when a client expresses discomfort

We decided to go there because we had gone to a few shops in town and this was the first place that we walked in and felt welcomed... and the best deal! As soon as we walked in, Ben welcomed us even though he was working with someone else. Some other of people at other places acted like we were bothering them, but not this place. Then during the tattoo, he was super cool, professional, and the time flew by. So, if you are looking for a friendly and talented place to get a tattoo at a reasonable price, this is the place to go and Ben is the man for the job!

Anyway, I was supposed to get a tattoo else where, and they told me they could no longer fit me in. So I did some research, and decided to come here! It was actually closer to where I live, so it was more convenient. (Also, it's near the gyro place and sandalwood store! Scoreee) Anyway- I called ahead. And Sean was able to fit me in! I came with my mom and a girlfriend, haha, a little support team since it was on my foot and only my 2nd tattoo. The shop was BUSY!!! I was pretty glad I called ahead- my girlfriend had been planning to get a tattoo, but they couldn't fit in walk ins. (Something about the day before Valentine's made everyone want to go get tattoos I suppose?) Anyway. I waited, he was pretty busy so I did wait a bit after my scheduled time. The shop was really clean, and had cool hand painted artwork on the wall! When he was ready for me, we talked about what I wanted and we did some research for about 10 minutes to get exactly what I wanted. When we where ready he brought me to his small back room! I had actually freaked myself out by googling foot tattoo pain, but Sean was VERY light handed, and while obviously it was still painful, I appreciated the fact that he was good at his job enough to make sure I wasn't too uncomfortable! I've gotten a back tattoo, that is pretty small. That hurt worse then the foot. He was very nice and professional, talking to us and helping distract me. When he was done he cleaned me up and wrapped it up! When we got to the counter, he actually charged me less then he quoted me. Which was pretty cool! it's been a few days since I've gotten it, and it doesn't hurt and is healing very nicely. (note I hadn't cleaned my foot off before I took the picture, the line work is wonderful!) I am probally not going to get another tattoo, but if I where, I would totally come back and specifically request Sean! I would also recommend him to anyone else getting a tattoo. Side note, there are several artists that work their, Jessie being another artist I've hear wonderful things about! Five stars. The experience was great!
