I have seen Christina for facials here a few times now and I'm absolutely in love! She is professional, makes sure I'm comfortable, answers all my questions, and beautifully tailors to my skins needs. Due to covid I have to wear a mask at work for 12 hour shifts and my skin just started breaking out and nothing I tried (and I tried A LOT) would make it stop! My acne was 20X worse then when I went through puberty! Finally I gave in and set up a facial with Christina and thank goodness I did. My skin is finally calming down, healing, and happy. I cannot believe there is not a review for this place yet. My friend Jessica set me up with her hair dresser, Adina. She was raving about how amazing Adina was. I was in dire need of a hair trim, and now that I am out of the Navy, I wanted to dye my hair. I totally wanted something different than my normal boring, black, Asian hair color. I chose to do ombre, which is perfect for someone who doesn't have the time to get their hair done on a continuous interval, like myself. We dyed the ends a beautiful caramel color. She did an excellent job with how she layered the color. It appeared to flow in a natural manner, vice those straight, harsh lines that some people have when they do the ombre, which was something I did not want. My hair is a medium length, so the process didn't take very long, I got there at 3:45 and was in my car by 5:40. It turned out to be $120 with a trim and color. I already schedule my next appointment with her 8 weeks from now and also made one for my fiancé this Saturday. I am excited to see what she can do with his hair, since he is trying to do something a little different then the norm also. I think I may go with a lighter tone next time, which should not be difficult, since my ends are already bleached. Pictures will be updated once I get on my phone. It took me approximately 20 minutes to get there from Longmeadow. It is a little bit farther than the local hair dressers in Longmeadow, but I think it's totally worth the drive. She was absolutely professional and friendly. The shop just got remodeled and it is totally cute. I am excited to have my own hair stylist, who will prevent from doing crazy things and is totally honest with what is best for me. There are a lot of other services there that I am looking forward to trying, like the lash extensions and facials. They will cancel your appointment several hours before you are suppose to have it ( with no other option, needed hair done for event had made appointment many weeks before this) and then charge you a cancellation fee plus tax. Seriously Wtf!! And the women on the phone when I called back was super rude after putting me on hold for several minutes. Finally found my go to salon after 3 years of relocated to New England. Especially after try many hair salons around. Let's start with the venue: Decoration was coordinate and elegant. You can never judge the cover by itself because the location is next to a rode but when you enter is a different story and you have plenty of free parking. Second, the owner and staff: From receptionist, hair dressers, owner and the lovely Adina Pignatare, my new hair dresser they are very welcoming and warm. They will make you feel at home and your time will be enjoyable. Truly appreciated that Adina set up my chair next to my son so he felt good customer service and considering that he is very shy he told me after appointment that Adina will always be his hair dresser. Third, let's talk about quality assurance by saying that Adina's work: impeccable, best consultation prior to the work I got done. Her skills are immaculate and she is an expert in the art of hair color and everything relate to the hair. She is honest and straight forward with what goes well with your skin and hair color as well style. Trust her she knows her art. You will not be disappointed. Make sure if you schedule with her do not miss her appointment because she is highly request. I wait 2 months before see her but totally worthy. Had a appointment set for a week and a half. Sent owner photos of before and after of what I wanted. My hair now and what I wanted them to do. Was told everything was great and set me up with Kimberly. Kimberly had a cancellation that Saturday. So her boss said she could see me a week early if I came in early. Not normally up at that time but agreed to get up and drive the half hour there. Go in and Kimberly sits me down. Pleasant enough but then I noticed her rolling her eyes and then she started asking me questions in terms I didn't know. Again I saw her roll her eyes because I didn't know what she was talking about. She leaves for couple minutes. Comes back and says she didn't feel comfortable doing my hair anymore sorry. Sorry?! Apparently she didn't think she could do a good enough job. So why set me up with someone who can't do the job? Of course no manager or owner there to help me so walked away heartbroken. Text the owner. She offered to comp me my gas money. I said no. It's the principle of how things were handled. And they wasted my gas and TIME for nothing. I found this salon on Yelp and thought I'd try it out. My balayage from February had lightened a ton and I wanted to warm it up a bit and touch it up since it was grown out. I called Thursday hoping to get an appointment for Friday or Saturday which was all booked up, so they took me at 5:45 that day. I met with Becky and showed her what I wanted and she instantly got to work. She was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable. So if you're reading this review and you ask yourself why do you and Maya share so many of the same reviews? Not to brag but I'm kind of a maven of all places awesome, so she checks it out if I recommend it (I expect all of you reading this to do the same). My wife and I have shared the same stylist for the last few years. My wife found Adina through some other online reviews when searching for someone that was Redken certified, so I figured if she could cut and color my wife's hair to her satisfaction she could handle mine pretty easily. In the past I would go to a Mastercut's or something similar, never have the same stylist and always get mixed results. It is definitely worth getting the same person to do your hair, so few messups that way. They also have a pretty good selection of shampoo and hair products made for men even though they cater to women so I appreciate that. My only complaint with this place is they don't serve mimosas, wine, or beer while you wait (last place in SC did that... step your game up... hint hint). I also loved getting my hair washed by someone else, it just feels nice having someone's hands in your hair. Very affordable, with tip I drop a $20. They also have those cards that you get punched so after 10 haircuts the 11th is free!!! (I'm such a sucker for those cards, my wallet is packed with them). Work up an appetite after getting your hair did (I know I do... I'm hungry just writing about getting my haircut). Cross the street and go to Mrs Murphys for a donut, sandwich, or soup... flippin money. read more

My bridal party and myself had our hair and makeup done at Designer's Edge in July 2015. I was most impressed with their makeup artist, who did a fantastic job and made me (someone who wears limited makeup) feel very comfortable. When I was not entirely satisfied with my hair trail, the stylist listened to my concerns and did a FANTASTIC job the day of the wedding. I was very happy with my hair and makeup-- they made me look great! My only issue was that they tried charging more than I was quoted, but that was easily resolved.
