**Florals received look nothing like inspiration photos. I was embarrassed of my bridal bouquet** When I first met Lisa in person, I knew she was the florist I wanted to go with for my September 2023 wedding. I could tell by her warm personality and passion for her job, that she truly cares about the work she does. Lisa is excellent and prompt with her communication and her prices are fair. I got a floral arrangement, 5 Boutonnières, a bridal bouquet, 6 (mini) bridesmaid bouquets, and a free throw bouquet all for under $800. I read in previous reviews that florals received look almost nothing like inspiration photos sent to her. My bridal bouquet looked sad. I was so disappointed because I thought it would be more full, but it contained more greenery than actual flowers. There was an attempt at the cascading look but really it just looked like a random long, piece of greenery hanging out. There was also one very oversized white rose that just looked so out of place and awkward. I liked the bridesmaids bouquets more than my own and even those had way too much greenery too. The groomsmen Boutonnières looked like they were for like a teenager; the rose bud was so tiny. All I requested was a white rose and some greenery. And then the groom's was supposed to be a little bigger than the groomsmen and she ended up using 2 daisy looking flowers. I even went back to my invoice and it indicates a rose for the groom's so I don't know why she used what she did. I'm going through my wedding photos and I'm honestly embarrassed, especially of my bridal bouquet. The only thing I truly liked was the floral arrangement that went on the gazebo, which I was relieved about because I was most nervous about that one and it was the most expensive piece. An issue we had was that it only came with 2 zip ties so we had a hard time installing it on the gazebo and got lucky our venue had extra zip ties. Why so stingy with zip ties? She provided a lot of loose garland and so I was confused why we couldn't get a few more zip ties. I don't regret using this business but I would not recommend to others. read more

We were referred to Designworks Florals by both our venue and our caterers, and boy were we glad we decided to listen to those referrals! Lisa, the owner of Designworks Florals, was quick to respond and set up an in-person discussion so that she could help bring our vision to life. We met Lisa at her home studio, and got straight to work figuring out what pieces we would need and what they should look like. As a bride and groom who walked into this meeting with a barely formed idea of what flowers we might want at our wedding, we walked away with a vision for the entire wedding in our heads and a contract signed with Designworks Florals. Up until the point of meeting with Lisa, we had only booked the venue, the food and I had purchased my dress and picked the colors of my bridesmaid dress - nothing had been chosen with a particular theme in the mind, and there was a very real chance that our wedding would have been an assortment of mismatched pieces that just didn't fit together.. Her knowledge of our venue, attention to the details of my dress and the colors of my bridesmaids dresses along with my suggestion of succulents all came together like I had been working on a vision board for the wedding for the last year. She knew exactly what would work, and this was over 9 months before our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Lisa checked in regularly and worked with me to amend our wedding vision and materials required as necessary. Every email had a cheerful tone and was ended with a smiley face. As most brides know, planning a wedding can be stressful, and any amount of positivity and support can go a long way. Email exchanges with Lisa always made my day. The day of our wedding, we were absolutely blown away by all of the florals and little details provided by Designworks Florals. Lisa went above and beyond the things that were detailed in our quote. There were so many extras that I was not expecting that just made every corner, every nook and cranny of our ceremony and reception sites feel like were a part of the larger vision of our wedding. From the largest arrangements to the smallest of boutonnieres everything was perfect. I would not have changed a single thing. Lisa was an an absolute ANGEL to work with when planning our wedding. She was sooooo flexible with what we wanted & our budget, while still being realistic and honest with us. She was really amazing at capturing the vision I had, which was not one I had found on Pinterest (lemons, lots of greens, babys breath, simple colors) to match our Italian vibe we were going for. I was OBSESSED with my bouquet - I wish i had dried it but I didn't :(, and everyone was raving about our centerpieces. Loved loved LOVED the wedding bouquet Lisa created for me. Originally our wedding was set for May 2020 and I was having a gorgeous bouquet of just sunflowers and baby's breath. Due to some wonderful circumstances we had to change our wedding to January 2020. Not only was Lisa able to accommodate our new date, she was able to create a bouquet for me I feel in love with. I didn't look for a new one as I was a bit sad I couldn't have sunflowers anymore. We only discussed some colors for it. We used Lisa for our wedding in CA. Lisa was very easy to communicate with and very timely! We did have some problems with her changing the contract AFTER we paid though, which was disconcerting and left us scrambling on the day of the wedding. But my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful, although we did not receive the boutonnieres I had quested (she changed the design), and the table flowers she sent were not big enough. Would recommend her but just make sure you have EVERYTHING set in writing and signed prior to sending her money! read more

I met with Lisa at her beautiful home in Lakeside for my very first wedding florals planning session. I arrived knowing very little about what I wanted. I showed Lisa a couple example pics of bouquets and decorations that I was drawn to, gave her a ballpark budget, and she totally rolled with it and helped create an affordable plan for my big day while teaching me lots in the process. So my first interaction with Lisa was great and I was so excited to work with her. I met with her in february for my wedding in August. It was a pretty long meeting. We discussed everything in great detail about what I wanted. She wrote it all down and I gave her a deposit. Months went by without any word from her about my flowers but didnt think much of it because there really was no need since the wedding was still months away. However I contacted her a few weeks before my wedding and she acted like she had no idea who I was. She even made me give her my check info to prove I had given her a deposit! She had lost all my information!! We had a very short conversation and a few emails about what I wanted and she said that should be fine. I was worried since the first meeting was so extensive. Lisa assured me she would do everything I wanted plus throw in some extra stuff due to the stress she had a caused me. My day of wedding arrives and Lisa shows up with my flowers. The bouquets were close to what I wanted but ALOT smaller then I had envisioned plus she used completely different burlap then we had discussed to wrap them. The bouts were nothing what I wanted. I had specially told her multiple times I wanted daises. At one point I thought she was getting frustrated with me because I brought up daisies so much. I guess I should of brought them up more because there was not one daisy in any of them! Then the "extras" she threw in looked liked scraps from her floor. It was very disappointing! We heard about Lisa at Designworks Florals from our amazing wedding venue location, so of course I was interested in meeting with her. My fiance was deployed at the time, and I am not good with following directions in unfamiliar locations, so I was late for our meeting. I was impressed that Lisa was very welcoming and did not make me feel rushed through the appointment. She is extremely detailed oriented, and was able to know exactly what I wanted before I even knew!
