I am nearing 40, a single mom to three girls, and feel I have many life experiences which have helped me evolve into a better person. Desiree has been helping me with both my life and career goals. Three things that set her apart from other coaches I've worked with are - She doesn't have you follow a fixed program, and will work with you based on your timeline which is great with different people with different schedules. Many other coaches have a 3, 6, 12 month plan before any changes come into play which can cost a lot before you start seeing results. - She changes her methods frequently to reflect what works today vs years ago. This is key as many people claim they have 10-20 years of experience, and use outdated methods. This is especially important in the Bay Area as things are moving faster (as a society and mindset wise) compared to other regions. - She will spend time with and check up with you after sessions. Other coaches will only devote time during the session, hence pushing you to come back. But, she does check ups on a weekly basis to make sure you're moving along on your path to a better self. Desiree is a trainer at our corporate HQ in Sunnyvale. This review represents the combined opinions and contributions from several of our employees. Desiree is an awesome trainer. She is very knowledgeable and focuses a lot on correct form vs just pounding out reps. She pays attention to both the group and individual persons and tailors the workout to fit where they are at (vs blindly following a strict regimen). Her workouts are always hard and effective, and generally combine a focus on a specific muscle group with an overall full body workout. In addition to her technical skills, she is fun, is a great motivator, and provides encouraging support. Desiree goes out of her way to call out individual successes and encourage additional effort to push the limits of each athlete. I had monthly sessions with her for about a year when I took on a new role with broader responsibilities at work. She is a great listener and provides a safe space that you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and expressing your feelings freely. I really needed someone to talk to and listen to my somewhat random thoughts about my career at that time, and she always did active listening and found areas for me to focus on while giving me cheers and motivation. I'm the type of person that likes to solve my own problems (i.e. reading self-help books, seminars, lectures,etc). Do you know may problems I solved on my own? none. Why? I have been training with Desiree for the last three months and she has done an awesome job working with me and my injury. She took plenty of time to figure out what my physical limits were due to the injury and what workouts were safe for me to do. She did a great job putting together workouts for me and a plan to help me reach my goals. She even incorporated some yoga stretches that have helped me out a lot with my injury, and have been the best sense of pain relief. I'm also very glad she helped me with my nutrition plan, which I thought I had down but she pointed out many helpful things which I overlooked and am currently working on. Desiree is an amazing coach with an energy that keeps you motivated to succeed. I have been on a roll coaster of diets, and she helped me realize with her nutritional weigh loss plans that eating right wasn't about dieting. I have gained and lose weight many times, but this is first time in 18 years. I have been able to sustain what I have been taught and keep motivated. In the first 5 months of training with her, I lost 17 inches and almost 25 lbs.
