Store is beautiful and staff very service oriented. Cannot express how disappointed we were in the quality of the food. We ordered two pounds of King Crab Legs, came still frozen. The crab legs were virtually empty. Several legs had nothing in them at all. The meat was stringy and just poor quality. Not good, not worth it. A beautiful store with beautiful wares and even beautiful staff. Too bad they have no idea what they are doing. If I were the chef who is plastered all over their website I'd take those photos down asap. Zero "actual" knowledge of any of the product or seafood. Zero idea how to keep it fresh and zero idea how pick it from the cases. Here are the 2 dozen clams I ordered. This also took 15 mins for the poor, untrained, clerk to pick 24 clams. I foolishly assumed she knew what she was doing by the posh setting and other fine items offered. That horrible euphemism keeps ringing true, however. Here are the clams I ended up with after 15 mins of them sorting. Steer clear away from this place This is nothing more than an overpriced trash can. I've been doing there pest control for a long time now and I have never seen one bug in there facility. Cute place with tons of options. I bought shrimp and crab legs, and they steamed them for me. They gave me an awesome bag to carry it all in. I also got their broccoli salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious. The guys behind the counter were so friendly and helpful!! The only complaint was the prices. $13.99 a pound for medium shrimp and $9.99 for broccoli salad. read more

The best steaks and fresh seafood! They also have a good wine selection, prepared salads, potato dishes to heat at home, gourmet sauces, spices, and cute paper products. They had a beer selection, too, but I didn't study it. We went once for items to grill and were so pleased we went back a few days later. I would have given this market 5 stars if the employees had the courtesy to wear masks during this pandemic. Every customer I saw wore a mask and yet the two employees behind the counter did not, and I found it really disappointing. It showed a lack of respect and care for your customers who are wearing masks to try to protect you. Heard this was the place great for seafood. Went there to get some fish and shrimp. The place was packed and every customer in the store was wearing a mask but not a single employee was. If they don't take the precaution of wearing a mask to protect the health of their customers, imagine how low their standards for food safety must be. We have visited this place every time we were in the area for years. Past experience has been good but we ordered steam shrimp and the quality was very poor. Almost a third of shrimp were mushy and uneatable. I wrote the store to tell them they may have some shrimp and they did even reply. I have experience in the shrimp business and this was a very poor product which can happen to anyone but the absence of a reply tells me they dont care! read more

It was a very clean and well done store! The butcher case for seafood at one end and meat products at other end of case were displayed with very nice cuts of fish and meat. The store looks very clean and well thought out layout. I like that the fish market smell doesn't hit you right as you walk in. You can find some great and unique food, wine and pantry essentials. The cold case which seafood and meat were kept in looked clean neat, organized and labeled. I docked the two stars for lack of masks not solely for the Covid pandemic but mostly because of hygiene around food prep. Not one mask, hair covering or beard covering in sight and just pulling hair back is simply not enough. If food is being prepped and prepared I would like to see facial, hand and hair coverings. Use a beard net or other restraint to cover any facial hair (beards, mustaches, and goatees). Just like face masks hold back mouth contaminates, hair and beard masks hold hair, dander and other body particles back so it doesn't fall into food and contaminate. read more

This place is well stocked with a selection of meats, cheeses, fresh produce, local items and don't get me started on the wine. Tried out on a recommendation. Was there on 5/29 at 4:15. Called in an order and was told they were slammed and couldn't guarantee they could take my order if I called back so I went ahead and put it in. When we arrived the market was empty with several employees milling about and when people came in while we were looking at sides and sauces to add they were taking walk up orders without issue. The lady who checked us out was abominably rude rolling her eyes at us and a very aggressive tone. I wanted to add crab legs for 10 and several pounds of fresh fish on ice in addition to our $250 steamer order but refused to give these people another dime. May not be much but they lost a $500 order from our party. The steamed shrimp boil we got was delicious. Store and selection was fabulous. Shame attitude was abismal. Will be returning to Goatfeathers and recommending that to all our people in the future. read more
