OLF was the right home for me and my horse Blu. He loved his big open stall and paddock and his turn out in lush pastures. The Farm has a really nice riding track, outdoor arena and round pen and is literally right across the street from Bridle trails state park--so easy to attend shows or clinics! While there is no covered arena for rainy winter days, I can say with all honesty that I never missed a day of planned riding due to rain. The park has tall trees which protect from the rain but still are wide open and bright. Dana and her crew take amazing care of all the horses. They have a huge herd that has 30+ acres to meander in and are fed on a track to make sure everyone has a place to eat and not be bothered. Having said that, horses will be horses and do hurt themselves from time to time. Dana keeps sufficient stall/paddocks available to use if a horse needs to come out of the herd for any reason. A young horse had torn the skin back on her knee requiring stitches. She broke her stitches open and Dana made extraordinary efforts to help with the care and treatment of the horse including installing a tether system in a stall. In the 3 barns I have been at, I have never seen an owner so personally involved and conscientious of a horses' well being. For the non-herd horses, turn out is all day for long hours not just a couple hours. Any reasonable request was met and accommodated. This is not a "show" barn although there are show horses there. Boarders are knowledgeable and friendly and happy to join on a trail ride. There are a number of quality trainers available and with 50+ horses on the farm, all the vets and farriers go there. Dana even built a new covered, flat area for vets and/or farriers to work out of the elements. No this is not the fanciest place but it was honest, warm, caring and welcoming and not only felt like, but was Home for Blu and I. While we are loving and adjusting to our home in the sun, we will forever miss and be fond of our friends and time at Overlake. 100% recommend Overlake as a great place to board.

By making games, ninjas learn strong programming/design fundamentals that can eventually be translated into other programs. The senseis being mostly high school/college students helps break down the teacher/student barrier and foster learning. As a former instructor in my college years, code ninjas is not only a great place to work for, my work experience there also helped me to full-time job opportunities at Amazon.

They came home excited each day, sharing what they learned, from edible plants to fire safety and survival skills. The camp makes learning hands-on, engaging, and fun. My 1 star review was based on lack of communication/follow through from management. After my kids tested + for covid, I provided the evidence and email requesting a credit, per the covid policy. The management never responded to my emails (I sent a few follow up emails), yet I kept receiving reminders for my kids to attend that week. The camp session was actually the last of the summer - late August. I basically assumed my money for camp (X2) was gone. Out of the blue in early November I received a one-line email stating my registration for camp was going to be refunded. No signature or contact details. I just checked my credit card statement and confirmed that both registration fees were refunded. I am happy that they followed through, but the 2 star review is because of the poor communication.

They were excited to go to class every single day, which says so much about the school and the staff. When our kids started Kindergarten they were very well prepared, academically and socially. We arrived, signed in and she was off playing with only a bit of hesitation and I felt totally safe leaving my daughter with the friendly staff. We picked her up and she said she had 'the best time ever' and wanted to go back again every day. We'll be back! Update: 3/20/2010 We had my daughter's birthday party here- 12 preschoolers and as many parents joined us for an hour and a half for their 'Yellow Light' party package and it was FANTASTIC. The staff were so competent that I didn't have to lift a finger, we arrived 15 min before the party as requested and in just 10 minutes, they wisked the table full of the goodies, had the pinata hung up, the cake displayed and the whole place was perfect. The kids wandered in and each of them were greeted warmly and everyone was able to join the fun in progress. The staff were super with each and every kid, and based on the smiles and giggles, this was the best party ever. The staff had structured activities interlaced with free play and an easy transition to cake time, pinata and then goodbye. Before I could blink, they were loading my car with the cake and gifts and we were on our way home. Best party experience I can even imagine. SO EASY!
