Have been coming to Destination Toyota for years because of the excellent service at the body shop. My Toyotas have always come here and I even bring my Nissan here. Same excellent service and quality of work on the Nissan. Michael, the estimator, is friendly, fast and efficient, and I'm fortunate to easily get a courtesy car when needed. The waiting area is very comfortable with a variety of seating areas and electrical outlets. They also have coffee and teas which are nice. That's for the body shop. I can't speak for the other departments. Across the street is MacDonald s and they are very close to Costco as well so if you have a long wait those are some options for places to visit. read more

Be very careful when buying a vehicle from this place. Even if your vehicle is still under warranty, they will find excuses to deny coverage. I had to spend many hours on the phone and make three trips to the dealership (and I live on Vancouver Island). They constantly try to avoid responsibility, even for a brand-new vehicle. If they do provide any service, it's done poorly and without any genuine care or effort. I truly don't understand how they run their business. My honest advice: go somewhere else and save yourself the time and frustration. read more

I don't usually post reviews, but I feel this place is warranted for one. I made an appointment for a service and seasonal tire change. I was given a free extensive prepaid maintenance package at the time of purchase of the vehicle. 1. they forgot to grab my tires from storage that i paid them to do. They were trying to accommodate their mistake as it would mean i would have to wait for them to go retrieve my tires and wait longer. They had my vehicle for 5 hours+, which is too long to wait for a service in my opinion. Time is a precious commodity as they say. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as i just wanted them to do a good job for my service, however... 2. My service was incomplete as I noticed that my engine fluids were below the low fill line, and they marked it as "good" levels on my service report. I can't explain why this happened. They had ample time to make sure the service was complete but fell flat as I caught it after given my keys and paid. I spoke to Adam, who is the service manager to showed him the tanks. He gave some pathetic excuse that "levels shouldn't be high" trying to weasel out the situation, i told him "it's below the low fill lines." He got the techs to top up the engine fluids and was quick to flee the scene. It was quite disappointing. Not sure what the reason is but I can only conclude it was malicious on their behalf to either strum up some business where i would have to pay. I've done plenty of services here, and I was hoping that this department would take care of my vehicle like I do. If you do decide to do business with these guys or any dealership, I would hold them accountable for their service and do your own due diligence in checking that service is done. Their website is a bit deceptive when selecting the section regarding the "Mirai". It says "electric" in parentheses in the menu. This vehicle is NOT electrical but operates on hydrogen. Before knowing how the car was powered, I asked for a test drive. I was told that I would be able to. The only unit they have belongs to the sales manager and cannot be taken out. Misunderstanding or misleading? You decide. In response to Mark D's response, what we are looking for is an electric vehicle that is charged up with electricity. The Mirai is too expensive and to make matters worse, the sales department will not even order EVs due to wait times. read more

They totally wasted our time. We contacted them to see a used car they had listed and they assured us everything was good and sent car fax and answered all our questions. We met them and test drove the car and agreed to all their terms only to find they tell us after we get there that the car needs a final inspection! Well we made our deposit and they call us a couple hours later and say they can't sell us the car because something showed up in the inspection. Here is my question. Why are they listing a car that is not properly inspected and totally ready for sale??? If you want to deal with a company that puts themselves first and customers second you have found it. By the way they have the highest doc fee I have ever seen (almost $900 )( most are under $400) and they are nonsense to begin with. Dealerships make their money on the cars, and they make a killing make no mistake, now they want to add another money grab and call it doc fee to pay all the office clerks and clerical expenses which should be covered by the car sales. They will tell you its for other stuff but make no mistake its just another way they can get more money off you. Thank you Destination Toyota for wasting a day of mine and my wives we will never get back looking at your cars. Beware the parts warranty. Destination Toyota installed a new fuel pump that failed two weeks after they installed it and they refused to pay the tow to the dealer for replacement. I too was a believer in Toyota quality but when the fuel pump quit in the middle of the Utah desert leaving my family stranded without a truck to tow my trailer I thought for sure Toyota would pay the bill only to find out I would be responsible for the tow the rental car and the expenses while we waited for repairs to be completed. They agreed that the parts and labor was covered under warranty and reimbursed me for this 10 weeks after I started the claims process. I will never deal with a dealership again premium prices for nothing in return. read more

I don't normally write reviews. I had a 6-day negative experience at this Toyota Dealership over my car's electric water pump and temp. sensor replacement. My check-in was efficient and Emily in Service was gracious and did all she could to help, but nearly all the involvement from management was unprofessional or incomplete. I have a 2010 Prius that I bough as a cert'd pre-owned from a dealership in 2012. I've only serviced it at Toyota dealerships. After dropping my car here on Friday morning, the service dept. called me and and said they couldn't figure out the problem, and asked if I would be willing to pay for 3 hrs of diagnostics on my car after initially being told it would take .5-1hr. We split the difference and agreed on 2 hrs' of paid diagnostics. After a half-day with my car, they told me the solution was to rebuild my engine. This would cost as much or more than the car is worth. Off and on, I spent 2-3 hours on the phone with a manager and was eventually told to replace my water pump and temp sensor, and not rebuild the engine. The communication was so poor I called Regency Toyota who I worked with before we moved across the city, and asked if they could help me make sense of what I was being told by Destination. Destination asked me to leave the car for the rest of the day and I was told to come get a rental. The next morning I was told that the tech was out sick and I was asked to come back 2 days later to get my car. I get it -- it's a pandemic. I have no issue with people staying home if they're sick. On Monday I was called and told they'd ordered the wrong part and they needed my car until Tuesday. We had to take our baby to the clinic so I asked them to find out if my partner could also drive the rental, but Destination didn't call me back about that. On Tuesday evening I came in to pick up my car. Because the service department was closed, I was told to pay and get my key from the sales department. The sales department didn't want to handle that, and told me the person who returns keys was 'out on a delivery' and I should wait for them to get back but 'it could be more than 20 minutes'. I left with the rental. I emailed the GM and head of the Service Dept. They didn't reply. When I went on Wednesday (6 days after dropping off my car), I introduced myself to the GM. He apologized and said the receptionist working in the sales department needed more training. He said he wanted time to digest what I'd emailed him and his Service Dept. head. I didn't hear from him again. I was told my bill for parts and labour came to just over a thousand dollars and they took off 44 dollars, so I paid 956 in the end. I got a 4pc. discount. I love Toyota and have had nothing but good experiences over the last decade. All the other dealerships I've worked with aced it. read more

Send my 2018 Sienna to fix a noise coming from the draw door on the driver side. Problem was specifically stated but after 4 hours ($377), the sound came back after half hour of driving. Asked the service what they have done, she said it was hard to track the noise as there were lots of sound in that vehicle. After testing the vehicle with another mechanic, the vehicle was fixed, another 3.5 hours, with a lengthy report with basically voice down to lube and tightening of door latches and hinges. Longer operating hours than the next nearest branch, I like their location and the comfortable waiting space. As I pulled into the service zone, someone took me in right away. They asked for my mileage and courteously pointed me to the waiting area. In the last 3 months, I've been here for an oil change, oil consumption test and got some major parts replaced. Overall I am happy with the way they handled everything. Complementary wifi was crucial as I had to take my car in on a work day. When I went on a weekend and the car needed 5+ hours of work, their shuttle service dropped me back home, which was a little out of their service area. Thank goodness they accommodated! The girl answering the phone may require additional training. Questions like how long the services may be, or if I may get a ride somewhere - those should be fairly easy to answer but all I got were vague replies. Often we ask because we want to plan our weekends... there are only so many hours. Hopefully she gets a cheat sheet or learn to become more knowledgeable in the shop that she works at, because I plan to be back for servicing my car here! read more

We placed a factory order on a brand new RAV4 last December, after 3.5 months, we got a call from Destination Toyota saying the car is here and ready to pick up. We were very happy to get the new car since this would be my wife's first car. On our first attempt to pick up the car, we noticed there are some scratches on the fender flare on a brand new car, so we did not pick up the car and asked to have this fixed. Today (April 21 2022), we (with little child for the second time) were at the dealership in another raining day and found out the fender flare is replaced (which is nice), but new paint scratches appear on the hood. We point this out and they let us wait while getting it polished off on site, they also suggest they could order a new car if the results is not satisfactory to us. And it turns out that some scratched are too deep, and not all scratched could be polished off. We feel disappointed since this factory-ordered car and it should be free from imperfection as it is directly from factory to us. They keep saying some scratches on the new car is common. But my previous car buying experiences from Audi Victoria and Honda Westwood suggested otherwise. So we decided not to pick up and wait for a new car. Things went to South with manager from there. The sales person told us a new car is on the way, then 5 minutes later, manager told us that car is sold and this option is not available. Another option the manager was offering is picking up this car and they could repaint the hood, I told him this is not acceptable as this is a brand new car, and who would buy a new car with repainted hood? And I told the manager they could not sell a 'new' car to me or another customers, but the manager does not seem to care or agree with me. Then, he told us if we did not pick up this car today and order a new one, he could not guarantee the next new car is free from scratches, and if next car had some scratches like this one, we must pick it up, otherwise, cancel the order today. Who would like to pick a factory-ordered car with some scratches (which are caused by the dealership its own)? Customers should not be held responsible for dealership's mistake or ignorance. Of course, we were left with no choice and cancelled the order today with disappointment. So please check your car before you drive a 'new' car from this dealership. My girlfriend bought a preapproved Toyota from here and when she went in six months later for the free oil change suddenly all the fluids in her car needed to be flushed and they charged her $750. I went in and talked to the service manager Don and said the experience left my girlfriend in the parking lot in tears he actually grinned. When I asked him how he would ever expect me to buy a car from here he leaned over and said something to the extent of it doesn't matter because he doesn't work for the sales department. I recently sold my father-in-law's car through Destination Auto and it was actually an enjoyable experience. Like many I suppose, selling or buying a car can be a bit stressful. This couldn't have been easier! It's largely due to Dimitri who was the person handling this used car sale. He was knowledgeable and very thoughtful in dealing with my elderly in-laws. Not only was he courteous but also accommodated their physical limitations. They were very pleased with how well he handled the sale and was very balanced and fair. I have been with Destination Toyota servicing for about a year. Took my car in after I first bought it and they recommended a whole lot of servicing. I knew I would have to pay a premium servicing my car in a dealership, but I "thought" the care given to my car and their knowledge of Toyota cars will be better. What happened in the last month was a joke. I did my regular 6 months interval servicing with them. When I took my keys, I was told the car is perfect and in incredible shape. 2 weeks later, while driving, the car stalled and I had to tow the car to the dealership. Had to replace the alternator and battery. They told me the battery was weak, but the "professional" advise was "keep driving, it will charge itself". I was fine paying the above costs. Upon taking my car, I realized my A/C wasn't working. Prior to sending the car in, even after jump started, the A/C was working very well. I went back in immediately to get it checked. Was told I need to replace the AC Compressor because the new battery might have wrecked the A/C and quoted 2k for the parts. Here's where the problem is. I am willing to pay for any parts that break under my care. What's unacceptable is having me pay for parts that broke under their care. I emailed the managers and their response showed inadequate knowledge of their services. In the invoice, they had written down "B1479 Flow sensor" error code and upon some researching, I knew it was an electrical issue. The managers tried to cover up by telling me it was a mechanical issue. Once I called out the BS, they finally did their research finally and said the failed component was electrical in nature but the repair is mechanical in nature. All the time during the discussion, they were trying to put the blame "mechanically" so it is not related to the battery and alternator change. They then did another research and found out that the part is "only 1.7k" and quoted me that price. After initially quoting 2k, this reeks of incompetence - charging random costs. What I take away from this is "I only care about profits" from them. I ended the discussion when we cant reach a desirable conclusion and took my car to replace the A/C elsewhere. read more

I recently booked an appointment with this location to have some maintenance done on my vehicle. I was early to my appointment so I waiting in the waiting room while the service advisers took my vehicle to get it ready for servicing. I was then told that they would not be able to service my car that day even though I had an appointment. I never received a phone call to let me know they would need tor reschedule, nor did I get an apology. I've reached out to this dealership both on their website a week ago now and I have emailed their service manager. No one has contacted me to make this right. read more

If I could give it a zero star rating I would as I got zero attention today when I went in to buy a car. I went in at 11:55 . There was only one fellow who looked like he was free. I approached him and asked him if he was in sales. He said he was but he had a client appt in a few minutes. I said no problem but perhaps he could answer a few questions until his appt arrived. He said he wasnt able as he was helping another salesmen with a deal. I guess they need 2 people to do a task of 1. Anyway, I left and drove to Regency Toyota on Kingsway, saw Danny and he was very helpful. He is working on some options for me. No rush on my part so he was able to take care of my questions and move on fairly rapidly. I suggest the extra distance to go see Danny at Regency. Forget about Destination, after my experience and reading the reviews why would you bother anyway. read more

Despicable customer service. my wife purchased a pre owned hybrid from this dealer. we live in the okanagan and needed the vehicle shipped to us. which sounds easy enough. Between the constant lack of communication and the dealer not providing sufficient information for us to insure the vehicle before shipping (transport company required the vehicle to be insured before shipping could take place) the dealership would not provide and information as to shipping time or arival time. after days of back and forth we were contacted by the manager of the dealership to find out the vehicle has been shipped with a company that won't give an ETA and it's been sent to a destination that was not agreed upon. So our new car will be delivered in 3-5 days to a dealership that's an hour away from where we work so when it shows up. we wont even be able to go get it till our following days off. also the sales manager was extremely rude to my wife, didn't offer an apology and cast blame on her for the delay in shippping. I will never use this dealership again. they don't even deserve the 1 star. read more

Service Department--Installation of a Block Heater on a 2012 Prius--January 24. 2017. BEWARE! I was very, very disappointed with my experience at Destination Toyota today, January 25. I simply cannot immagine any circumstances where it would take a hour of labor to install a block heater. Overall, the job took them about three hours to complete. Moreover I rather suspect that the block heater has been installed incorrectly. It is very hard to believe that to plug in a block heater, a driver must go to passinger area, release the hood, then go to the hood and release the hood locking mechanism. To add further indignaty to this procedure, The driver is also required to undo a velcro strap, uncoil an electrical cord, remove a plug cover, and close the hood on the electrical cord. All this simply to plug in a block heater. It's absurd! I cannot believeDestination Toyota actually serious about making me pay over $225.00 for such nonsense. Unqualified technicians -- Service Advisors who try to talk you into accepting poor workmanship. BEWARE! read more

Love their new location especially with the express service entrance. The advisors are very friendly, welcoming and professional. The whole experience of taking your car into the service area gives a sense of transparency in terms of who'll be working on your car and where its being serviced. The wait area is very comfortable and you can't go wrong with the complimentary coffee. Overall excellent service. read more

Purchased a Toyota Tacoma from here. Service has been less then stellar having had to go back twice for the same problems. On the third trip back for a mirror issue and second trip back for loud squeaking steering wheel my 2016 Tacoma was recalled and "grounded". 3+ weeks later I am still without a single word on what's going on with my truck yet I'm still expected to pay the lease payment for it, even though the truck is grounded at the dealership and I can't drive it. I was given a Corrolla le as a rental - which I don't want nor do I need. The dealership says its a Toyota Canada issue, Toyota Canada tells me I have to keep paying for it as they're separate from Toyota Finance and not a single person at any of the three has given me any information on when my truck will be fixed. Went for express oil change and it took 2 hours for basic oil change for my 2017 car and after all this wasted time they gave me the car back not vacuum and not washed and all the wet dirty floor mats on top of back seats. So messed up service and nobody actually cares about it wen i tried to ask for explanations. Also wen i asked my advisor about maintenance job that was done on my car he was not sure and not able to answer my question why i am charged extra? I don't even know wat they did for 2 hours . This has been my go to place for close to 2 years now. I've always had a great service (despite couple of hiccups) , and dealt with the same Rep Chris who is nothing short of perfect. Today, I can unfortunately say that I was very disappointed with who they put as their 1st customer contact. This lady, "Brianne" has been rude, aggressive, poor mannered, and with a terrible attitude. Getting talked down to by a teenager who's supposed to be the one welcoming you in with a smile or at least a proper work etiquette is beneath this place and a massive turn-off given my past great experiences. After waiting for over 2 hours for my cars, asking for an update on my car should definitely not trigger such rude and "talk back" kind of attitude. I am not sure if she was having very bad day, if this was her 1st day having a job, or if she's someone's relative and they gave her a job, but I've worked in customer service, and this lady's attitude is unacceptable and disrespectful. Choose your staff better, or train them better. read more
