    We decided to do a destination wedding in cancun and why not book through the place that literally is called destination weddings? Tracy was our start to finish coordinator through the website. She was very helpful though out the whole process, answered all our questions, questions from guests, coordinated everything with the onsite hotel coodinator and more. If you are looking to book a destination wedding i highly recommend this website and asking for tracy! She will make everything happen!!

    Maggie was a joy to work with! Super helpful and did everything she could to make sure things went smoothly. Very positive experience working with Maggie. Only slightly negative note is I feel the response time of 2-4 days minimum and her being out of office almost every time I reached out was a little frustrating, feel like it was hit or miss getting a prompt response back if I or guests had a question. BUT, I understand Maggie works in the travel industry and she appears to soak up every opportunity to travel, I don't blame her, haha. If you're patient, I would 100% recommend working with Maggie! I would suggest she take OFF Royalton Antigua from her list of recommendations for destination weddings. I don't have many positive things to say about our experience there. Place is a HOT mess. Our wedding photographer the resort provided was lack luster and super controlling and wasn't open to any ideas I suggested for photos. Ceremony venue was NOT private despite the description and photos, it was in the common pool area and we had people watching and it didn't feel intimate at ALL. Photos here. Food was absolutely awful, customer service was awful, wait times for drinks at pool bar was unbearable, wait times for restaurants despite having reservations was awful, ended up eating at sports bar almost every night. Scenery is stunning though. Our butlers were the most positive thing, they were great and tried their best to make our stay better. Overall a good experience but I would 100% change things if I could go back in time.

    When my husband and I decided on a destination wedding, I was overwhelmed at the thought of finding the best resort for us. My cousin referred us to Destination Weddings, and they made the process so easy! Jocelyn Batlas was a dream to work with! After we filled out our online profile, she immediately contacted us and got to work. We had a short timeframe to plan, as we picked a date just a few months out (engaged in April, wedding in December). She helped us quickly narrow down resorts, and then stayed in constant communication with our guests to get everyone booked. We had one guest who was very picky, and Jocelyn handled them with grace and professionalism. And when my elderly uncle missed his flight to the wedding, Jocelyn helped him and his wife get quickly rebooked and notified the resort. She also helped immensely in our communication with the resort as we worked with our planner. Jocelyn was just a phone call or text away throughout the process and was always very responsive to my questions. We definitely recommend Destination Weddings and highly recommend Jocelyn!

    December 4th was supposed the be the happiest day of my life and through the efforts (or lack thereof) of Destination Weddings Travel Agency and Secrets Royal Beach, Punta Cana it ended up being one of the most disappointing and chaotic experiences of my life. I spent 18 months planning every detail with so much love and care. We ended up choosing to book Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana through Destination Weddings from a friend's suggestion after he and his wife had a positive experience with both companies. This is where our nightmare started. Our first travel agent- Sally Martinez - was incredibly disorganized and seemed to struggle with basic communication. She confused the groom for other guests in our wedding on multiple occasions and provided different date ranges to the few guests in our party that she managed to return calls to. One pair of guests was upgraded to the honeymoon suite upon their arrival because our travel agent booked him to arrive 2 full days before anyone else on our guest list. We think it was communicated to the hotel that he was the groom as the honeymoon decoration was on his door, and our door was bare. Not that we cared much about door decorations, but we took notice and joked about it for the rest of the week. Sally was confused about which room type we wanted and rather than confirming with us she just booked whatever room she felt like. After 8 months of struggling to get anything resembling communication with Sally we switched to a new travel agent who did her best to pick up the pieces but the damage was already done. Upon our arrival to the Secrets resort we indeed were placed in the wrong room and our butler managed to get us the room we had initially paid for - with an additional upgrade fee. Booking the hair and make up appointments for the ladies was a struggle in and of itself. I reached out 3 times over the course of 3 weeks before I got a response including a reservation form. The appointments for the 5 of us were separated into 2 blocks with the bridesmaids at 9am and my mother and me at 12:30. A bridal suite was never mentioned - if knew about it I, of course, would have booked it to spend extra time and create memories with my mother and closest friends. However American Airlines lost my parents luggage and they left the resort to buy clothes to wear to my wedding that morning. I spent the majority of my wedding morning alone. I feel like the wedding specialist Should have been much more involved in this booking. I handed print outs of the readings/blessings I wanted to our on site coordinator and confirmed the ceremony timeline with her and confirmed we wanted to read our handwritten vows and I wanted a traditional Celtic blessing for our handfasting unity ceremony. The day of the wedding our resort officiant - Lucus- confirmed those same exact details with the groom 20 minutes before the ceremony. The ceremony I planned was not the ceremony I got. The officiant "got nervous" and like Sally - did whatever he wanted. 3 days after our train wreck of a wedding (not destination's fault, but still awful) when we had time to discuss our concerns we requested a meeting the the GM/ Assistant GM and that was the night we got our "just married" door banner and rose petals on the floor/bed. It really felt like everything for my husband and I was booked as a regular stay and once we arrived and later began expressing our concerns they realized WE were guests of honor and they scrambled to treat us as such. Sally, you should be removed from your employment for your complete mishandling of such special moments in people's lives. I spent the remainder of my trip in tears and upset. In addition, the majority of my guests experienced travel issues with American Airlines to get there and back home such as lost luggage and minimal compensation for being involuntarily bumped to flights 12+ hours after their original flight. I have never felt more bitter, and guilty, about a travel experience. I will NEVER stay at another Hyatt location, Secrets location or even return to the Dominican Republic and I encourage anyone reading this to avoid these companies at all costs. Secrets, Hyatt, Destination Weddings Travel Agency and American Airlines shame on you for making my wedding such a devastating and frustrating experience for my husband and me, my parents, my mother in law and countless other loved ones.

    My wedding was 9/1/24 in Cancun's Moon Palace. Our coordinator was Stephanie Parks and she was beyond amazing! Fast and courteous with responding to call texts and emails for me and my party! The communication with her was flawless. She kept me updated with all communication with the resort. She even sent me pics of the resort when she went for a conference at Moon Palace. I would choose her all over again!!

Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!

Joan called me back right away as she had a cancellation on the date we wanted. That was pure luck and the rest is history. Joan, her family and staff at Franklin Caterers were awesome to deal with. She made great suggestions for renting the tent and tables, took care of all the menu details as well as linens, and provided the perfect advice for setting up the bar and provided a bartender. Everyone was superbly professional, on-time, very communicative and we were able to enjoy the party with our guests which was our goal. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

We had a short window to plan the event and Myriam was on top of EVERYTHING; she left no detail unattended. I was worried about everything because my siblings and I were planning this party from sunny California and the party was in Massachusetts. Myriam did an amazing job at putting my mind at ease. From her amazing recommendations of vendor choices to her innate abilities to capture the theme we were going for; her service is bar none. Myriam's business acumen is superb. Her patience and communication style made the three of feel like she wanted this party to be as big of a hit as we did. We hosted almost 90 people and Myriam had everything under control. From making sure the food arrived on time and working with outside caterers, wait staff, and entertainment; it was all taken care of. She even made sure we got all the family pictures we wanted, which proved to be the most valuable takeaway. Myriam has the expertise that you want when planning an event of any significance. I almost forgot to mention how much of a sweetheart she is! The thoughtful things she did (probably too much to go into here) made me truly happy that I hired her.     Ever since we signed on with M&M, we tell every couple we know that the FIRST THING they should do…read moreif they get engaged is hire a wedding planner (more specifically, our wedding planner). A number of amenities were made affordable, and therefore feasible, because we hired M&M. The rates we received from vendors, with Myriam as our representative, were far more favorable then the ones we sussed out before hiring her. Not only were the prices great, but the service was also exceptional. Her professionalism and reputation spurred vendors to do an excellent job so that she would one day advocate for them, too. Before we hired Myriam, we had very little idea of how much we should expect to spend, and as a result, we were hesitant to make any firm commitments. We had been engaged a year and a half when we met Myriam, and had decided upon absolutely nothing. I am especially thankful for Myriam's patience with us as we got used to synthesizing and articulating the details of our dream wedding. Wedding planners have to be gifted arbitrators, since the traditions, wishes, and opinions of two people (and by extension, two families) have to be weighed equally, and ultimately reconciled into something unique, memorable, and beautiful. In the days leading up to the wedding, my bridesmaids frequently commented (with no small amount of surprise and relief) about how relaxed I was going into the big day. I think that's because I had entrusted my wedding to the right person.
