We drove an hour to meet our fishing charter (passing over 180 closer options in Islamorada where we were staying). We had a $10 fee to pay for parking. There were not adequate life jackets on board. The captain did not have a first mate, so my son ended up driving the boat to help him catch bait. He did not have the correct bait for the fish we wanted to catch. There were only two seats on the boat for a party of four . We had to pee in a 5 gallon bucket. Other fishing charters my family have been on had bathrooms on board. There was not shade on the boat as it was advertised. The captain drank beer while on our excursion. When I tried to reach out to Karen to share my concerns, she schedule an appointment. My husband and I arrived at the appointment about 5 minutes early. We waited for 50 minutes while Karen work with other clients. It seemed that Karen did not really care about our trip since it was done. I would never booked through this travel agent again because they don't care about their customers experience or safety. There are many options of travel agents to help plan a great trip. About Your Vacation is not one of them.

Our tour guide was a retired high school history teacher and football coach with all sorts of interesting stories about the region. We passed Mount Baldy, the "living" sand dune that moves, at Indiana Dunes National Park and made it all the way down to a good view of the Century of Progress homes before making our way back. We also got to hear all about the ship, the Emita II, which is a historic ship from the 1950s, and about how it reached its current home. It was also very cute that Captain Jan had the kids come up and take turns at the wheel on the way back. There is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat, and there are restrooms on board. Free parking is available a little walk away - walk towards the Lighthouse Museum, as the dock is behind there. Definitely a great adventure!

I called them, and they claimed to have had a flat but didn't call me to let me know. We had to drive ourselves from Indiana to Ohare and we missed the flight causing us to rebook and drive to Midway instead. After finally speaking with the owner, he agreed to reimburse me so I could pay for the airport parking. Upon returning from my trip 2 weeks later, I still did not have a refund. I called him from the airport requesting the refund again, and he simply said he "didn't have it but would see what he could do". A week later, still no refund and he kept promising to mail a check which I still have not gotten. He said he couldn't refund me through ApplePay (my method of payment) because his partner wouldn't approve. Now, almost 2 months later, still no refund and he has blocked my calls.

Shane took us to a wine trail in Geneva and he was so patient and accommodating. We had emailed other companies that offer tours but I found Shane to be the nicest person and also very prompt in his responses. The prices are also very reasonable. I know during this pandemic we are worried about sanitation and social distancing. Shane's transportation was very clean and Shane had a mask on the whole time. We also made sure we had our mask on throughout the ride and tour. Geneva is this small little town and there is so much to do there. Lots of shopping, restaurants, chocolate shops, and of course wine. Shane did all his research and it was nice because some of the tasting rooms and the winery were expecting us. It was a personal experience. We had so much fun, we both didn't want to leave. The weather was just perfect. I cant wait to plan our next private tour. Thank you Shane for everything. Planning our dream vacation turned out to be a nightmare because the President of the company Mary…read morechose to not give us any helpful additional information regarding our Disney Magical adventure. We found out more information from the Disney app and friends that recently vacationed there. Mary continued on a personal phone call telling the caller that her clients were just leaving after we just sat down. Mary made it very well known that she herself visits the Magic Kingdom often and actually just had returned, apparently she chose not to hook us up with her own valued information. I will never use Travel Hut again nor will I recommend it to my friends, we will do better on our own.
