Both rentals also had pool access, the home a private, heated pool that we greatly enjoyed. In addition to the properties though, the staff was excellent! We had trouble finding the first location because our gps was down and customer service guided us over the phone to the property. We also had a complementary fresh sweet bread and bottled waters left for us during our second stay. I highly recommend a stay with Five Star Beach Properties - they make the booking process (over the phone or via their user friendly website) easy, the properties are one of a kind with state of the art amenities and great views, and the customer service is fantastic.

I'll begin with their customer service...the rudeness AFTER you've stayed with them and they've gotten your money is unacceptable to say the least. I left an item on their property a very expensive wig. My family checked into the same property that I'd stayed at the very same day that I checked out so I had them look for it...once it had been cleaned by housekeeping. It was not located by my family after telling them exactly where I left it...so I contacted Five Star Properties...after days of receiving the run around and of my reaching out numerous times I was told that it was not found. I mentioned to the VERY RUDE representative VANESSA that my first off my family had searched for the wig and didn't find it and that. She mentioned to me that she was the one that initially took down the report...I then mentioned to her that I'd spoke with another representative who informed me that she was fairly new and had never even notified the housekeepers of the wig being missing. Vanessa became very angry and disrespectful to me even hanging up on me. People on this level should NEVER be working for a place where yiu are spending $10k to stay 3 nights. I asked several times to speak with a manager and she refused saying she was who I had to speak with. Again maybe she was having back flashes thinking she was still at "The Waffle House"...no disrespect to The Waffle House"..but I was completely floored by the conversation. Not to mention again, she rudely hung up on me...simply because I insisted on speaking with a manager. There were also issues with the home that we stayed in that I wasn't even going to address with them since my family chose to go there when we left...like the elevator wasn't working (although they sent a repair guy on day 2) the pool jets weren't working...the microwave stopped working and my family had to fix that...and on our last day there the dishwasher stopped working...so we had to hand wash everything...mind you my family checked in there because the place they were staying in flooded and had bugs...smh and they had limited options. Five Star Properties PLEASE PLEASE do better. You cannot charge the kind of money that we spent and provide the service that you've provided. I spoke with Felicity (who I'm guessing did what she could with my request for the search of my wig) and also Taylor ( who told me that Vanessa was new and had not filed the initial report so he did). Taylor was also the one who reached out to inform me that the wig was not found. A wig sounds like a seamless item...and maybe it is but I paid over $1k for it thus the reason for my reaching...which wasn't an easy call for me to have made. AGAIN Five Star do better! FOLKS RUN DONT WALK FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THE HOMES LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON THE SITES BUT THEY'RE NOT WORK THE MONEY OR THE HEADACHES!!!

Frangista is an awesome neighborhood with a great gated private beach as well, so no crazy traffic on the beach during peak seasons. Rentals are always spotless upon arrival. Save the headache…read more This guy is very unprofessional I'm writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the cancellation of my Destin vacation rental reservation through Airbnb, which occurred only about a month before our scheduled trip. I had booked two rooms for a group trip involving multiple adults and children, and this last-minute cancellation has created a major inconvenience for everyone involved. As most people know, finding accommodations in Destin this close to summer travel dates is extremely difficult and significantly more expensive. We are now being forced to scramble to find another place that can accommodate our entire group, all because of a cancellation that could have been handled much more professionally. What made the situation even worse was the response I received when I called to ask about the cancellation. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, Brad laughed and made comments implying that the rate I booked was "too cheap" and that there was "no way" the property was worth that amount. I booked the property directly through Airbnb at the listed rate, so any pricing issue should have been addressed internally -- not taken out on paying customers after reservations were already confirmed. After looking through the Google reviews for Emerald Coast Rental Vacation Homes, I noticed multiple other customers describing very similar experiences involving sudden cancellations and poor communication. That raises serious concerns about how business is being conducted. I also want to address something in advance: I've seen responses to negative reviews where claims are made that the reviewer "never booked" with the company. That is absolutely not the case here. I did book these properties through Airbnb, and I have screenshots, confirmations, and documentation to fully support everything stated in this review. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Canceling on families and groups shortly before their vacations puts people in difficult financial and logistical situations, especially when prices increase dramatically afterward. I hope future customers are made aware of these recurring issues before trusting this company with important travel plans.

Now, Chris is refusing to send me back my security deposit and cleaning fees that I prepaid -- neither of these items were ever used, so he's just a thief. These people are not fair or honest so avoid renting a property from them. If you're considering listing a house with them, please look elsewhere -- these are not people you want to work with.

Stacy decided to show her face days later and inconvenience us even further by coming out at 9 o'clock at night and informed us they have had several problems with the fridge before (obviously aware of the problem) then we asked her what was she going to do for us to fix this because we didn't want to go out to eat for EVERY MEAL for fear of coronavirus and the surging rates in Florida at the time, to which Stacy literally said "oh it's totally ok to eat out, me and my husband go all the time" LOL. Fast forward to Wednesday night (the last two days of our trip) and we finally get it fixed and ask Stacy what she is going to do in the way of a partial refund for us because of the inconvenience she caused us amongst the refrigerator and whole day we had no access to the pool due to it needing to be shocked and Stacy not planning this properly either, we even had a diabetic in the house who needed to refrigerate their medicine-Stacy could care less. We have received zero compensation for the hundreds of dollars wasted on food before we realized the fridge was broken nor the countless amounts of extra money we had to pay for to-go food (obviously more expensive than groceries), or for the extra risk we were forced to put ourselves at with the coronavirus. What little communication we have had with Stacy (when she wasn't literally ignoring us for days on end) has been condescending, dismissive, and ignorant. 10 out of 10 would not recommend, way too expensive off the rip, let alone to deal with all the shocking amount of disrespect we have received. Do not book here, you will regret it. UPDATE- Stacy has refused to give us our deposit back for no reason. Imagine staring your vacation with kids crying because they can't use the pool they have waited months for. While Diamond was reactive to our issues, they simply should not have happened. They offered compensation to keep out mouths closed and not post but no way! Avoid Diamond at all costs!!!! We rented from My Dream Vacation last year with zero issues.
