My partner and I came here on a Friday night and did the witching hour. It was a fairly busy location but clean with friendly staff. The room was pretty hard but doable with two people. We escaped with only a few mins left though and we used 3 hints! Our game master did give some hints without us asking a couple times which isn't a big deal but I do try to do it with the least amount of hints as possible so I don't feel like we really did it with only three. There is one gender neutral bathroom that was decently clean (before 7 teen boys used it ). Location is good with lots of parking and other activities next door.

The food is excellent (especially considering how many people they're feeding), some of the beer taps change from year to year from what I can tell, but it's always good stuff....they're not serving the dregs here...just excellent German beer and some other non-beer libations. The people here are fantastic!...the staff, the patrons...everyone's happy. It's summer perfection IMO. You'll need cash and kind of a lot o fit if you're gonna do it up right, but $50-60 per person should get you anything you'll want including a t-shirt to the show ; )

Whatnot usually means drinking lots of lager, by the bucket here. Neither of us drink but hey, whatever. I definitely needed Google Maps to find this park out in the boonies near Ann Arbor. There's nothing in the way of fanfare announcing it either. Parking is an adventure in a sprawling, sometimes lumpy dirt lot with neon vest clad attendants directing you where to bring in your chariot. At least we got there early and didn't have to walk a country mile. My brother-in-law tells me that massive lot often maxes out and people are stuck parking on the dirt shoulder of a two lane road and hoofing it for great distances. Shades of back in the 90s when I went to Lollapalooza at Milan Dragway. Ten bucks to get in is reasonable enough. Cash only in 2025 probably won't win them a lot of fans so be ready for that. There was barely any line when we walked up and by the time we were getting back to our table with food it was snaking way down the walkway. I'm not a huge fan of ticket systems for food and beverage sales as it's always a challenge to utilize the exact amount of tickets you bought and not be on the hook with leftovers. Fortunately my dad and I departed long before close and a bunch of people my sister invited joined us so we gifted our tickets to the big table of revelers. Who knows how close they got to maximizing the ticket stash at the end of the night. I'm only seeing now on here that apparently you can cash in your remaining tickets before you leave. Don't recall signage for that. Unspent tickets really boost profits... I had a bratwurst, a knockwurst, a water, a cola and an order of spaetzle. The wursts weren't the worst, but not the best I've had either. I don't think I've ever had spaetzle - a German egg noodle dish - before and don't know what the standard for it is but I'm going to hold with the reviewer who wrote that's it's bland. I wasn't expecting Pad Thai or anything but a give the spaetzle a big yawn. We didn't catch as much oompah music as I would have liked - there was a long intermission between sets for much of our visit but we did hear a significant amount. Walking up to the stage it was nothing but kids and parents dancing in the mid-afternoon. I'm sure that demographic changes drastically as the sun sets and nightfall sets in. The move here is to bring a big tablecloth and claim a picnic table as they get sparser and further away from the action as the day wears on. The wooded areas on the periphery actually seem really pleasant though. They have games like cornhole and foosball which again, seemed to be commandeered solely by kids in the sunlight hours. A couple basic carnival rides would do wonders for enhancing the festive atmosphere but I'm not sure that feasible given German Park's extremely limited operating schedule. It's open a whopping 3 days a year - unless you wanna rent the place out for a private event. All three days are in the summer, too. No Oktoberfest. I know weather can be pretty questionable around that time of the year but Oktoberfest people seem like a pretty hardy lot. Maybe they could run it with a rain day provision? No Oktoberfest in place like this is just baffling to me.

After that horrible experience, I decided to change her lessons to one-on-one private lessons with a different instructor. It was mainly a sweet girl named Julia who worked with my daughter. My daughter became so excited about swimming! Julia was very patient with my daughter and after the lesson, she'd come right up to me and explain to me everything they went over, and what we needed to work on at home. So even though our first experience here was god-awful, our visits after were so that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Also it is a very nice pool to hang out around with ample swimming pools/areas. Really large shallow wading pool for young children.

Man, it's rarely open. This season it hasn't even been open at all because of a mechanical issue and last summer it had several closures and hiccups throughout the season. And when it was open, a good part of the pool (the deep end) was closed off because they were short staffed. That means that all the other spaces got extra crowded, which wasn't the best scenario for a relaxing swim. Such a bummer! It's walking distance from my house so I REALLY REALLY want to love it, and mostly I REALLY REALLY want to visit it but we just can't because it's still been closed. We still walk our dog through the park, and I love the baseball games and checking out all the rad skaters in the skate park, but the pool is just a real bummer.

A difficult start for us, would have helped if we looked a little closer at a couple things. One clue we didn't even see right away even after she told us where to look. The black light is a fun aspect that definitely requires teamwork! Lots of interesting puzzles, such as number locks, keys, codes. We got stuck several times. One step we got stuck on, probably from us pressing buttons too fast or something, so Allison had to play the audio over the speaker. There was one other object we had some issues with because we didn't rotate it enough before setting the correct locations for the item. She actually had to pause the time and come check it out to see why we weren't getting the next step unlocked. We had just enough time to stop the train! Overall, great room, great use of group work at times. We found it helpful to have a cell phone note app open to make a list of items at times, otherwise you're definitely yelling from room to room for multiple steps. Allison was definitely helpful making sure we got through successfully when we got too stumped on what to do. We all had a great time.

If you exceed the grace period they will start your game timer. That's fair but not even the case in this situation. Instead our host decided that she would assert her authority as an escape room nazi. Less than one minute in we were scolded for not paying attention to the video. It is apparently against their rules to look around the room and god forbid, don't touch anything before that video ends! That wasn't my experience the last 3 times at this location, but okay we just laughed it off. Later my daughter was yelled at for picking up candles. "Don't touch the candles, they are not part of the game!" Oh, no, someone vaped. Another scolding. This is going to be a long 45 minutes. When we asked for the first clue the response was, "You are not there yet." We had to ask again for some sort of guidance, please. Pretty please? I did not pay $170 to be yelled at and beg for clues. They ended the game with 1:30 left on the timer. We let ourselves out. When I asked the lady at the desk to please tell me the name of the host, I was immediately met with confrontation. "Is this about the vaping?" No, I respect that, this is about the host's poor attitude and complete lack of customer service. She still refused to give her name -actually said it's confidential but a good host introduces themselves to their guests, right? Now I'm told her rude behavior was justified because we started the game before watching the video when we were specifically told not to! I'm a bit taken aback by this response. Not only were my concerns completely dismissed but now I am being scolded again! By this time I've gone from annoyed to irritated. Long story short, the staff ruined what should have been a fun experience. The game was fun, challenging and well designed with interesting props but the Manager, Morgan and the host, Allison could benefit from basic customer service training. The lady who refused to give the name of the host was the manager and instead of acknowledging my concern, she accused us of wrong doing. It was bizarre. Don't waste your money here. They had a great setup with a buffet of apps and cheeses. The cheeses were a bit boring in my book but the hot dips and crackers and crab cakes were utterly fantastic. The mains we had to choose from ahead of time were chicken marsala, a vegetarian risotto or filet and sea bass. Well duh. The filet was fantastic, perfect medium rare with good char on the outside. The sea bass was melt in your mouth with a delicious beurre blanc. People who went marsala seemed sad upon viewing the combo but the vegetarian raved about hers. Dessert was a sundae bar. Just vanilla ice cream. Lots of fun toppings but more ice cream flavors would have made it epic. Coffee was served and was happy, especially after a few vodka and sodas with a splash of cran. For an event it was pretty great.

The greens staff and crew are hard working and know how to maintain a challenging course. The dining room has a nice balance of elegance and homeless. I never had a bad meal there. Prices are reasonable. The tennis courts and swimming pool I can't comment on because I never used them The number one positive about the Barton Hills CC is the intrinsic location. Barton Hills is actually hilly. It's not a flaky developer's name. My only regret is that I can't afford to join, but I had many of the best times of my life there. Join if you can afford it. It's a gem.

My boyfriend plays on a Sunday night league here. The place itself is state of the art and extremely spacious and clean. I've been to so many rinks where cleanliness goes out of the window and the establishment only cares about the amount of people on the ice. Not here! Employees are always smiling and they seem genuine that they love their job. The rinks itself are rather cold, but it's to be expected if you're watching a hockey game after all. I recommended a hoodie and a blanket if you're watching from the stands (which aren't that comfy, let's be honest!) An arcade is on site if you're here for a party and the cafe is filled with snacks to help your grumbling stomach. Cash only though! I look forward to exploring and having more fun here in the future!

I live really close to the Vets Park pool but I think Fuller Park's may be my new spot. First off, it's HUGE. I think maybe the biggest public outdoor pool in Ann Arbor? They have several lanes for laps, a deep end for swimming, and a shallower end for kids. They also have a separate waterslide tucked in the back (although it doesn't empty into a pool). While Vet's Park is better for the really little ones (they have more of a toddler pool with overhead sprinklers and such) Fuller is better for older folks. In fact, the last 10 minutes of every hour is "Adult swim." Anyone under 18 has to get out of the pool so the adults can have a bit of a peaceful float for 10 glorious minutes. It's not just great for swimming either. It's wonderful for relaxing as well. They have LOTS of lounge chairs and pergolas to keep you semi shaded. I spent several fantastic hours here this past weekend cooling off in the water for a bit and then heading back to my chair to dry off and read a book. It was lovely. If you're feeling peckish they have a few vending machines for beverages and snacks. They have a couple of ice cream novelty machines too. Oh, and they have a few picnic tables and areas for parties. $5 a day for adults, $4 for kids and seniors. They have resident yearly passes ($140 for adults or $265 for familes) or punch passes (10 punches for $40 or 20 punches for $80) if you don't think you'd use the yearly pass often enough for make it worth your while. The pool is pristine, the locker rooms are also clean, and it's just so spacious and great. I really genuinely love it there and can't wait for my next visit!

There is a zero-depth pool for young kids and another area about 4 feet deep for older kids to swim in, with or without parents. When the weather turns cold, the ice rink is well-maintained and fun for all. I appreciated that they Zamboni the rink halfway through an open skate so that it stays smooth. Two fire pits allow for warming up if your fingers start to freeze. Overall this is a fantastic place to spend some quality time being active outdoors all year round.
