My kids play soccer and this place is on point. Coaches are age appropriate, and you can see a clear progression as the kids move from group to group through the years. The youngest kids focus more on fun and kicking, and each year they get a little more skills specific. Facility is clean, game organization and punctuality is unbeatable. I'm only giving 4 stars because I'd like them to spend more time doing skills drills at my kid's age. I think total soccer has a program running that does a better job at skills development. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this sports recreational center. My son participated in a 7-on-7 football program, and during one of the final games, he was seriously injured when another player struck him in the face with an elbow. As a result, both of his front teeth were knocked out. One of my biggest concerns is that the coaches do not require children to wear mouthguards. This is a basic safety measure that is standard in schools and organized sports for a reason--it helps prevent exactly this kind of injury. I strongly believe that if proper safety rules had been enforced, the severity of my son's injury could have been reduced or even avoided. Even more concerning was the lack of follow-up. After such a serious incident, no one from the center or coaching staff reached out to check on my son's condition. That level of disregard for a child's well-being is unacceptable. In my opinion, this place prioritizes running programs over ensuring the safety of the children participating. I would strongly urge other parents to think carefully and ask questions about safety policies before enrolling their kids here. Total money grab, do not send your children to the summer camp. There was no power today. Camp was canceled, they won't issue a refund. Citing their policy of no refund. I don't know what they expect. But some parents have to work. We can't just take off and watch the kids when it's your facility's failure. read more

They are the PERFECT fit for our homeschooling program and also offer evening classes and private events. The Legacy Center is lucky to have them. We have found the benefits of learning safe trampoline techniques and my girls whole heartily enjoy the classes these guys offer. read more

If you are looking to spend almost $800 for the season and an then additional $50-100 every weekend at your own facility (depending if you bring others to watch), then this is the League for you! Legacy is a prime example of the destruction of youth sports. They do not care about player development, only the bottom line. Management is terrible and strong arms parents. This was the worst experience we've ever had. I wouldn't give this company (bc thats really what they are) a penny. They only take cash for entrance fees, no card or venmo. I just want to comment that reviews from a few years ago make this place sound great. Administration changed and this is my review for Fall 2020 which follows suit with many other disappointed parents and players. This place is very poorly run. There's no set coaches so no one ever knows what's going on. And Mike Kavanaugh, who works for Legacy, as well as the rest of the organization only cares about money. He is a rude, arrogant asshole and I watched him speak SO poorly to a group of parents with questions regarding the season, including myself. I will not be returning or giving another dime to this place. *LEGACY IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU WILL SPEND*. Just in time for the cold weather, the Legacy Center opened on 11-2-2013. It's an amazing field with great turf. It is extremely well-lit and offers organized soccer league play from adults down to kids. Adult football too. The soccer facility is just but one of the complex of sports fields that will be here at this location. read more

Went to watch A friends son play baseball. Glas to see all of the signs a out masks and so ial distancing. Very disappointed none of the parents kids or coaches were wearing masks or social distancing. All kids were in dugout together along with the coaches people were sitting in the stands less than six feet apart parents. How can that be teaching our youth to follow guidelines? It was blatant the signs throughout were merely there just to say the rules were posted. read more

They have beautiful facilities. Cost is higher end. Coaching is piss-poor. Our coach showed up late for 1/2 the practices and two games, and flat-out no-showed and let the assistant coach do all the coaching for several weeks of an eight-week season. There was no play development or skills drills until 3/4 way through the season. Communication was terrible; we never got a schedule despite multiple parents' asking multiple times. We found out about a tournament with 48h notice. Unsurprisingly, we were soundly trounced the entire season, and management never got curious as to why. My kid learned more in one practice at Milford than a whole season here. They should be embarrassed. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

If I could give Legacy Center a No STAR rating I would....In September,Legacy Center substantially changed the direction of the Legends Volleyball club. I contacted them several times by email and received no response. Instead they arbitrarily decided to keep our initial deposit and refund only payments made toward the annual club fee. They fully refunded some families but others like me, decided to cite a "no refund policy." Then they decided to put the deposit "on account" at the Legacy Center which I will never use. Luckily, we were able to charge back the payments and deposit to our credit card company. Buyer beware! They are not engaging in professional practices toward the families. read more

My daughter is at an all day volleyball event and Legacy has no refs. Literally, not one ref on any court. The girls now have to ref, in addition to line judging. If you cannot properly staff an event, it should be cancelled and fees returned. This isn't a tournament, it is basically an expensive open gym. read more

STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTON, MI LEGACY CENTER! This place is ran very unprofessionally. It reminds me of a 'boiler room' outfit like the ones that trade stocks illegally with minimal staff and uncommon or absent corporate structure, stealing the whole time. One day I expect the owner(s) to be in court. But I digress. Money was to be refunded to families due to the soccer season being tanked from COVID. Four months of the season were lost with 3 out of 4 tournaments and numerous games not being played, and of the $3,000 paid to play only $275 was refunded. Very disappointed. I have called and emailed and have received no response. This was the same case when we were asking about the refund initially--- zero communication. Please do not use the Return to Sport Program at the Legacy Center. We used this service for my daughter after ACL surgery. 5.5 months after surgery she re-injured her knee based upon subjective advice from the athletic trainer. Not only re-tore ACL, but MCL and Meniscus. No follow up from Athletic Trainer after injury offering support or concern. No investigation regarding why this happened and documentation of event was less than adequate. Return to Sport is a good thing. Just not here. read more

Went to GamedayUSA baseball tournament in July 2018. I don't know who is responsible for having fields ready and keeping them playable, but these fields were not suitable for a tournament. Using Fake pitching mounds the landing area for the pitchers was an absolute crater that was not attended to all weekend, fields not watered down or raked between games. Had sign saying "coming in summer 2018" concession stand/building, well it was summer 2018 none to be found. Rest of facility that wasn't baseball related looked awesome. read more

This place is very nice. Lots of potential. Excited to live near a place like this for my children to take advantage of as they grow up playing sports. It's lacking 2 things though.... 1- parking. Who designed the parking at this place. It's terrible. Especially in the winter. And 2- while one can appreciate young athletes working/ teaching here- I am still paying a lot of money for sports clinics/ leagues/ etc and I expect a bit more. Front desk is never very informative or "sure" of anything and SOME of the instructors my child has had are young kids who just get run over by a young group of children. After giving Legacy a try for 2 years, we pulled all 3 of our kids from their sports with Legacy. We had two who played travel baseball and 1 in travel volleyball. When there was a problem with the coaches not handling bullying, and the coaches themselves putting down the kids a few parents went to the directors and nothing was done. This is just a small example of many problems. This September they made a huge change with the director of volleyball and when people asked for refunds, at first they gave them to families. Once they started receiving a bigger demand they then decided to apply a no refund policy for the $500.00 deposit. How ever no one signed anything agreeing to this policy nor can you just pick and choose who you are going to apply this policy to. Had I been issued a refund I may have considered Legacy in the future. However after this I have a horrible taste in my mouth and will NEVER return with any of my children. The communication is horrible and Droo does not follow through with what he says. It's been over 3 weeks since he said he would call me to discuss this issue with volleyball and the refunds given. It has been over a week since he told me his legal counsel would be in contact with me in regards to why some got a full refund and why no one else is. I am very disappointed with how the facility has handled this. The lack of customer service is unbelievable. read more

The facilities here are great, but good luck getting any time to use them. We spent a lot of money for our son to be on a baseball team that rarely got practice time in the facilities, and only got to play 2 games at Legacy fields. Games were played on fields at local schools, with umps that sometimes didn't show or were late, and fields that were double booked with other events. Coaches gave a great speech after tryouts, and we were excited about joining them. The excitement quickly faded when we realized the speech was nothing but empty words. Overall, tremendously disappointed in the whole experience. We would not recommend Legacy center, and most definitely will not be back. read more

This place is amazing. Some of the Best turf in the country I have been told. Its huge. It's so nice to have a place to workout in the winter. They have a gym, yoga, fitness classes and you can get on the turf to run, jog, walk, do sprints or plyometrics or sport specific practice. Just call ahead because they rent the facility to teams and if you just show up without checking schedule you might not be able to get on the turf. read more

We have 3 daughters involved in the Legacy Soccer program and we are also members of the gym. This is a state-of-the-art facility right off US 23. My family is very happy to have access to this great facility and top quality coaches. I grew up in the Brighton area and we had nothing like this when I was a kid. Very unprofessional! They seem to think they can make up soccer rules on the fly. Just got back from a 3V3 soccer match. The referee admitted after the game he did not know the rules of the game and had made a bad call about a goal, the coordinator agreed he had made a bad call but first said no disputing of calls was allowed, then they said no disputing of calls was allowed after the game, but disputing of calls is not allowed during the game. Why penalize the kids because the ref doesn't know the rules? read more

They hire very incompetent referees; I would not recommend letting your child play here. Also, there was lousy parking availability.

Waste of money, disorganized and not worth your time. The facility is nice but the staffing and overall experience is terrible. If you want your kids to be safe don't sign them up here. read more
