I moved out A2-way during the earlier days of COVID last year and needed a place to exercise. Remembered enjoying Wolverine Strength and Conditioning several years back and decided to give it a go. At that time, they were doing outdoor workouts, which was a big bonus! Plus, there were a lot of really great people both training and being trained. It was the most social thing that I was doing at the time - so not only did I improve my health by exercising regularly again, I also improved my health by having a social connectedness that was lacking in so many other areas of life. After the summer months, we headed inside. They made nice little "parking spots" with all the equipment separated out so that you had your own space. Of course they required face masks, per state regulations. But they also took extra precautions by giving us cleaning towels and products to wipe down the equipment after every use. They also had us go to the common areas in groups to keep contact down. Now that the weather is turning nice, they have told us that we will be going outside periodically again. It's SOOOO great of them to do that since it really is hard on the equipment, plus it's labor intensive. I honestly can't say enough good things about this gym. If you're looking to get your health in check (especially since we know that health is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to infectious disease) - definitely check this place out. You can drop in for free (one session), and then the $160/month is for month-to-month without an annual commitment. It's like getting a personal trainer - but for a LOT less! I cannot believe the changes I've seen in my body in less than a year... and how much more agile and good I feel. For the record, I'm 47 years old and feel better than I think I've ever felt. I may have gray hair... but I wouldn't mess with me if I were you! ;) Haha.

They have all the required equipment around which anyone can design a solid workout. Unlimited classes as well. Haven't yet seen the gym overcrowded, even during peak hours. The facility (including the locker room) is pretty clean. All this comes at a very reasonable price. Downside is that it is slightly congested and weekend hours can be better. Neither of the drawbacks are anything that you can't work around. Thumbs up to powerhouse.

They're ALWAYS making improvements - whether it's adding it in a brand new cafe, or swapping out all the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers and just keeping the place really clean - especially the pool! While they don't have digital sign up (I have to call and share my credit card information over the phone or just go in person....), they clearly do invest in their facilities and these details don't go unnoticed! Lastly, the staff is always so helpful and friendly here - even early morning at 5am!

If you ask to work in for a set, they act shocked and can get confrontational. If the gym is going to keep signing-in this many people, it needs to do more to manage sharing and access--whether that's a brief orientation about machine etiquette, more active floor supervision, or even rethinking the layout (e.g., fewer treadmills and more of the strength machines that constantly get monopolized).

Team member spotlight: Will…read more I absolutely love this rec center and gym. It has become one of my favorite places to work out and reset. Parking is always plentiful and easy, which immediately makes the experience stress free. The hours work perfectly for my schedule, especially since I usually go in the morning to early afternoon. There is so much to do here. I have not taken any of the classes yet, but I love knowing they are available and plan to explore them eventually. One of my favorite features is the indoor track. I am also really looking forward to the indoor pool reopening and am excited about the addition of saunas. Saunas are such an important part of overall health and recovery, so that will be a great upgrade. Cleanliness really stands out here. The locker rooms, bathrooms, equipment, and common areas are consistently well maintained. I regularly see staff cleaning throughout the facility, which makes a big difference. The people here are genuinely kind and welcoming. Will, William, in particular, is wonderful. He is always friendly, personable, and remembers me and my family. I also notice how engaged he is with other members, which adds to the sense of community. There is a nice balance of ages here. You do occasionally see younger children, usually elementary age, participating in day or after school programs near the basketball courts, but it never feels overwhelming. I also love that they offer pickleball and a variety of other activities, which makes the space feel inclusive and active for everyone. The weight area isn't watched by employees and is abused by guests. The pool on the other hand is always supervised by a life guard. It's clean and gets lots of use. The water aerobics classes were a lot of fun. They also offer Zumba, basketball, and ping pong. The ping pong table is also in a weird spot, right in front of the ladies locker room. It feels a little weird opening the door to walk in with a bunch of guys playing ping pong. They were always nice but it just seems a little odd. The showers and locker rooms were always clean. They even had a cool swimsuit drying machine, so you don't have to put a wet suit back into bags. Overall, inexpensive and provides a lot of options for getting exercise

They just had trouble cancelling their memberships for several months. He spoke to the front desk. The staff said he needs to contact manager. They gave him an email which is fake. I canceled on his website account and his account was disabled immediately and never can went in to check the status. Then I had to cancel the payment through the bank. Now we kept on receiving crunch debt collection. This is crazy! And if you read review, we are not the only victim regarding this! I will talk to legal service! This is crazy and illegal. Why do I need to cancel the membership with the manager. We do not need to see manager when we sign up!

I went in person to cancel 11 days ago and as far as I can tell, the process isn't even initiated. First was told that they couldn't help me there, I needed to email a location inbox with my request. I did this same day. No response or acknowledgement for a few days, so I followed up with a phone call to check in. Got an apology for the delay from the person I spoke to, and that they were going to personally check with their manager on my request. No response to my email request for another few days, so I followed up by phone again... same story. Person I spoke with said it was unacceptable and they'd check in for me. Absolute crickets. Their excuse is that they just got a new manager? And said they were receiving a lot of phone calls about cancellations because I guess no one is currently responding to the inbox?? Over a week to acknowledge and respond to the request is staring to feel shady, and I wouldn't be surprised if this stretches to over 2 weeks or longer. I am expecting them to honor the date of my request though for what is I believe a 10 day lag for cancellations, and that I should not receive any additional monthly charges.

If you like classes there are tons of them. It's so convenient for me since I live by Woodbury Gardens nearby. I get a 15% discount as a resident of Woodbury Gardens and pay on a quarterly basis so get another discount. It's a little less than $40/month for the basic membership with 3 classes a week for me. I think month to month without discount it's around $50. Another reason why it's great - 3N1 is a locally owned business, not a chain. Co owners Eddie and Bonnye are there every day working the front desk, leading classes, and doing personal training. Feels good to know your money is staying in the community.
