Sam looked at it and looked at me gravely, letting me know it was majorly cracked. He told me that they could get it the best they could, but it would never truly look the same. Sam reminded me of a surgeon telling an athlete that they would walk again, but they'd never play in the pros. Sam and I both acknowledged that they don't make these wheels anymore and I told Sam to do what he could to save her life. This was late Monday afternoon when Sam gave me my wheel's prognosis and by mid Tuesday he had fixed her up. I went and met my sure to be still mangled and scarred wheel today. Little did I know that Sam and the rest of the Rim Renew crew are brilliant plastic surgeons. It looks amazing! Initially, I was quite pleased with my service from WO. I had four wheels refinished to freshen up…read moresix-year-old black/anthracite rims, none of which had any major damage. Three of the four still look good a year later. Unfortunately, I've had an ongoing issue with the fourth wheel. A section in the exact same location repeatedly bubbles and flakes off. To WO's credit, they repaired it once under their warranty, but just a few months after that repair, the same spot has bubbled and flaked off again. At this point, it appears that the underlying issue was never properly addressed. The repair looks like additional layers of coating were applied over the previously repaired area without adequately bonding to the exposed original finish. I asked WO to either properly repair the wheel or, at minimum, address the small area that is currently bubbling to prevent further peeling. Both requests were rejected, and I was told I could pay full price to have the wheel refinished again--with no guarantee that the same issue wouldn't return. That is particularly disappointing given the advertised warranty against delamination. I'm not asking for an unrelated repair; I'm asking for a recurring failure in the exact same location to be properly addressed. I was also willing to overlook the amount of overspray left on my red Brembo calipers, which now have a noticeable film-like appearance, but after multiple repair attempts and the response I received regarding the warranty, I felt compelled to share my experience. Three wheels look good. Unfortunately, one recurring QC issue and the way it has been handled have completely changed my opinion of the service. Based on my experience, I would recommend considering a reputable local wheel refinishing shop (maybe WO's brick and mortar location is better?) over WO's mobile repair service.

Once he arrived, he got right to work and had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes. The entire process was quick, efficient, and stress-free, and we were safely back on the road much faster than expected. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called. Overall, though, the service was excellent. He showed up when we needed help, worked quickly, and got us moving again in no time.
