It was a horrible experience, and no one on the team seemed to know what they were doing. Updates via email were non-informative; just the same contact information, agent photos and legal disclaimers. Then the icing on the cake was getting their demand for sensitive identity information and ID photocopies only hours before close. They had me over a barrel and I could either submit the information over unsecured email or risk being in breach of contract. I understand statutory requirements, but nothing explains why this required info was demanded at the 11th hour, or why it wasn't provided with the rest of the documents. My close was at risk, I couldn't sleep, and the sad thing is that it all could have been avoided if Rainier just did their job. Feel free to use these guys if you like drama and surprises. For me, I will write into my future deals not to use Rainier to handle title.

Had a frightful experience with this company…read more They were simply supposed to redo our driveway. Nothing frilly or fancy. We even pulled up the old driveway for them and prepped it by setting up the floating rebar supports. When they showed up, they pulled the concrete truck way too far in and crushed the float on the rebar, smashing it down to the bottom and making it useless. Then they didn't have the mix right, so it was drying a lot faster than they could smooth it out. They did not add the simple texture we requested (to make it more no-slip) and covered the wooden seams. So the job they did to start off with sucked. Then once they left, I also found that they had left concrete handprints ALL OVER my new garage doors; they had used my garden tools they had found just inside my garage and left them coated in concrete, and they left a mountain of concrete blobs on the side of the house. It took months of dealing with them until I just finally replaced the garage doors, had to hire a service to break up and haul off that mountain, repaint the trim on the house and replace my garden tools. Their comment: "we didn't charge you enough to be that careful" and the supervisor of the job got super aggressive with my husband (had police on the line before finally backed off). Actually I had another contractor come over to correct Whirlwind's work and he told me they charged me $3K MORE than it should have cost; not including all repairs resulting from their damages.

We had a long conversation where he told me that he has been in this industry for 20 years and it is only the second time he has seen this happen. Unfortunately, it happened to three people including me that were served by the same truck on that day. Josh said that the pH was too low for that batch. Mulch comes from evergreen trees. It includes the trunk and bark. After it goes through the chipper, it is aged which gives it a darker color. It is exposed to air which causes the pH to drop. This must have been a large pile that didn't get enough air. Josh stated they did a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and implemented new processes where this won't occur again. After a lot of labor and time, my grass has grown back. Unfortunately, some of my evergreen shrubs where mulch settled on top of don't look great and one of my large pine trees took a turn for the worse. However, I am quite pleased that Josh reached out to me and offered half of my money back. I thought that was a nice gesture which I accepted so I am changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. I would not be scared to use them again. Original post: My wife and I decided to have dark mulch blown into our beds as we needed 16 yards and didn't want to get our lawn trampled with wheel barrows. We had previously used Bark Time, but they are no longer in business. United Recycling & Organics took over their phone number. My wife made a reservation and we kept the weeds in check in anticipation. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful. We paid $943 which included cleanup. Everything seemed to go well. Unfortunately, a 6 to 12 inch swath next to the beds around the entire lawn started to die within a day. By the second day, the grass next to the beds was dead. We have a very large back lawn. We immediately got to work trying to rejuvenate the grass. We thatched and tried to remove as much mulch dust as possible by raking and blowing. We diluted the dead grass with lots of water, seeded and fertilized. The mulch dust worked like Roundup. My wife sent an email to the office letting them know what happened and they responded, "I'm so sorry to hear this. I will be passing this on to my supervisor and our General Manager. I'm sure someone will be contacting you to discuss this further. This is not acceptable and we never want to leave a yard worse than when we started." We never heard back from them. Fortunately, after many hours of labor and additional money, our front and back lawns are starting to look better.

He then called me numerous horrible names and threatened bodily harm again saying he will be there in 2 hrs for his check. He plumbed things incorrectly, so I had to hire another plumber to fix them. He made huge messes with tile and left things unfinished and got very defensive when I would question the work. He insisted I use his MSI counter vendor in Mukilteo, who installed chipped counters without saying a word, and didn't template correctly, so they had to cut the trim of my window in the kitchen unevenly to shove in the ill-fitting quartz backsplash. He lost orders, ran late and charged for items he did not provide like a vanity, counter, sink and quartz backsplash but threatend me if I didn't pay him for all of this unprovided work and material. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe Gregiore. Look up his last business that he shut down due to violations. He should not be in business.
