Doesn't even deserve a star tbh. Terrible management group where no one is ever in office and say hey call us during our hours and you do and no one answers and leave voicemail after voicemail. No one gets back in a timely manner I've texted an agent and that's the main communication I've gotten. I recently had two charges on my account of rent that left me negative and overdrawn for auto payments that were scheduled in error on the app I emailed/called/texted prior to it being taken out in hopes I fixed it/corrected it but nope. It hit and no I'm left day 3 zero money and no one answering or giving me a check or refund my bank is disputing it faster than the company is handling anything with me. I call every day, for the past 3 days, it's so unprofessional it's disgusting. In the past I've locked myself out of my Apt ONCE and they didn't get back to me for over an hour and then I had to pay a locksmith 125$ to get into my own Apt since no one was available again. They didn't reimburse me didn't even try said my own fault but they should've been available and answering their phones, they have an office and number to it but no one was there or picked up. A number listed on their home site was someone's personal cell from years ago who no longer worked with them and it was the only person I got on the phone!! I hate this company and I will warn anyone who rents with them they're terribly unprofessional and rarely talk to you so if ANYTHING happens/emergency or mistake you're screwed. Don't rent from them. **update response to Heidi** I see you think regardless that texts to Jonathon one person when I've emailed/called repeatedly, and left voicemails over 3 days now is acceptable. Plus in the past still with lockout incident no one was available during your working hours hire people to be in office if you have an office. If you can't keep to your schedules don't set the hours or have an office if no one is there or available. I shouldn't be reaching out daily on all platforms to still get nothing. It's extremely unprofessional and even if you have one staff or one broker you need more clearly if they don't stay it's not a good company w/no staffing. Even if tenants make mistakes with autopay or locked out that's entirely what a property management company is there for to help manage a property and if you're not available during any of your business hours and repeatedly unavailable with outdated #s and multiple bad reviews it's not a good sign. And replying to every negative review with a well we did this and that also doesn't look professional either. Take responsibility and improve the company/hire and make sure your tenants aren't repeatedly let down and do better. read more

Upon leaving the property the things they are charging me for tells me they are not honest folks... 196.00 chimney cleaning..we never even used the fire place 50.00 for non working light bulbs and to cover some hole in the living room ? No clue what they are referring to as I was there 8 months and never even hung anything on a wall.. Kitchen had old track lighting that 2 bulbs that even replaced would no stay on..charged 10.00 for those 300.00 to clean. I have receipts from a cleaning company as I had the house cleaned and carpets shampooed before I handed over the keys.. The most ridiculous experience with this rental company. We moved from out-of-state due to my husband's new duty station and they charged us extra because they knew we needed somewhere to live and that the housing market was tight because of the USS Nimitz relocating. They told us that our debt ratio was "too great" because we still owned our home in Georgia. The property manager for our home treated us like we are scum and second class citizens. She was unprofessional to say the least. When we confronted her about her composure to us she literally said that it's her job to make sure the owner's needs are met first. They do not care about the people who rent from them at all. For example, we lived in a mold infested home and they told us to spray the mold and to clean it. It turns out that a roof leak was going into the wall and an entire wall had moldy water damage. (Pictures attached). They made us live in this home for MONTHS without proper repair. MONTHS of living in a home with exposed electrical wiring, paying extra electricity bill due to a hole in our wall, and inadequate lighting. This is not why I'm upset though, this is why I'm upset... They are charging us a $265 cleaning fee based on an Estimate that is going to happen AFTER they repair the wall. We told us we wanted a detailed cleaning report of what wasn't cleaned and I'll show you the joke they sent us as proof of cleaning. We already paid $150 to get the carpets professionally cleaned (per rental agreement) so I have NO idea how this less than 1,200 square foot house (most of it carpeting) warrants a $265 cleaning fee after I scrubbed all the toilets, sinks, and tubs, cleaned out the oven and fridge, wiped down all base boards, windowsills and cleaned all of the Windows. I even cleaned inside every single cabinet and drawer knowing that this company was going to swindle us out of our deposit. I would never, ever, use this company ever again as an owner of a home, or a renter. I am reporting them to the BBB because they are crooks. As a response to their response: That email was sent to you after our dining room was completely blocked off and we didn't have access to it because of the giant plastic screening. The contractors were friendly, they were awesome. And we talked to Debbie today who tried to tell my husband that they "couldn't get a hold of me about fixing repairs" when in reality they contacted me a couple hours before wanting to come over (that's against our lease btw-and this happened several times) and I told them I was at work. They asked when a better time to come over was and I told them to contact The property manager to get inside of the property because my husband and I work full-time jobs and could not afford to take anymore time off of work because of this issue. When we asked today why the cleaning fee was so outrageous they told us it is because we didn't clean the blinds! $265 for cleaning blinds!!! There are 5 blinds in the house (six but we replaced one of them before we moved out). I'm sorry, but that is just absurd. We asked to do a walk-out with this company and they told us "we don't do that". Why!? Because they want to swindle you out of your deposit. Crooks. I would have gladly cleaned the blinds to avoid paying $265 for cleaning. And yes, charging a tenant an extra amount of deposit based on income is illegal in WA state. We didn't fight it because we were homeless and there were no other rentals at the time. This company took full advantage over the fact my husband is in the military and needed a place to live. Yes, I did take this public because no one should have to deal with what we dealt with, especially people with children. I would love to take your company to court and fight over reduced rent for living in a construction area, my children's medical bills from mold exposure, and for our deposit. Even my plants in the house were covered in layers of mold after the wall was exposed. But honestly, I just want to be done communicating with this company, it's like fighting with a wall. Honestly, I'm filling out the BBB paperwork and hopefully getting this company blacklisted from the military community. "We didn't do anything illegal" Yeah, you only made us live in a moldy house for three months with exposed electrical wiring. This is the worst business I have ever had to work with. Can you even call it a business? My slumlord decided to stop responding and told us he hired them. Just a huge bs circle, he can't talk to us they can't do anything without talking to him. My house is literally in shambles from broken appliances, broken windows to a list I don't even want to get into. Such a disappointment. This is not my boyfriends responsibility this is why we rent so we don't have to replace fridges or ovens. Oh and the oven vent? What oven vent? There is no way this house is up to code and because it's historical sure you get breaks but to straight ignore us month after month and not take anything serious is so disrespectful and unacceptable. Washer dials all broken need to use pliers just to do a load. When we moved in the dirt and scum that was built up was beyond disgusting. I had to help him scrub away for first 5 days it was beyond anything I imagined when I'm moving into a new resident. It was the most disgusting house I'm sure drug users we're there before clearly they didnt care to fix or keep house up. And to know that the landlord, if you can even call him that was "fine" with it and told us we will be able to leave and move out it same way. That's a huge red flag and wish we got out and never had to deal with your company or lack of company, the landlord or the very sketchy people you send to drop off payment request. Where do you find your staff? I would strongly suggest you reach out to the tenant on the lease today so we can set up something. I would hate to continue this unnecessary bs. I rented from Details for a little over 5 years and my experience with all of them was great . I did get charged for cleaning etc when I moved out but I did research the cost of the charges and everything was on par with the estimates that I received and all charges were what I agreed to as per my lease . Where shall I start... Well for a company that is named Details they do not pay any attention to "details". Incorrectly spelled signors names on our lease, interrogated us about misinformation about us having a pet. After starting the process of creating the new lease after we found a place we liked, they tried to bamboozle us into paying ($1650) in addition security deposit just because we were moving from out of state. Also the move in amount changed three times because the "math was off". There were also the service calls, had to call three different times on one issue. The service issues not even acknowledged till an in person visit to their office was initiated by us. I have never had a cordial interaction with the Details Property Management staff. I rented from Details Property Management for 3 years. They are unprofessional. Our lease stated they would come and do walk throughs every 6 months. In the 3 years we lived there we didn't see them once. When we chose to move out, they charged us for normal wear and tear which they would have seen had they followed their obligations in the lease and conducted periodic walk throughs. In addition, I submitted a work order to have the roof and gutters repaired prior to deciding to leave which was never addressed. We waited 7 months and still never heard from them. If I were the home owner, I would be very upset this work order was not addressed as damage continued to occur. If you call the office during business hours it will always go to voicemail and you're lucky if you get a call back in a timely manner. This may be the right property management to rent from if you want to be left alone, just know they will not hold themselves to the professional standards they hold tenants to. If you are a home owner, I would go with a different property management to ensure your property is overseen appropriately. read more

We utilized Details for roughly 7 years. Throughout the years the money we received didn't ever add up. One month we would receive a normal amount of money amounting to the takeaways to cover their bill and the gardener, other months we would be short minor amounts of money that weren't ever accounted for. Which we accepted just to ensure we had someone caring for our property. Then our amazing tenants decided to move. Well, trying to get things fixed through Details proved to be a nightmare. Being that they get paid regardless if the property is rented or not clearly was of no consequence to them. Then of course they needed money to make the repairs. Well the repairs were never done. They got paid. Finally we had enough because it was 2 months after the tenants moved out and we parted ways to save ourselves. They of course kept 3/4's of the security deposit. Failed to pay the gardener and made it seem as if they were doing us a favor by giving us 200 dollars of the deposit. They hired people to do work and the work didnt get done. We paid people for repair work that wasn't done. Details allowed the tenants to over grow trees which was a danger without notifying us. When they hired someone to trim the trees they never trimmed them and we got charged for the work. Here it is 4 months later and we are still paying people for things that Details apparently pocketed the money to. Do yourselves a favor and steer clear of this company. I recently moved out of a property managed by Details Property Management. During the pre-move out inspection we were told specific things to be cleaned to get our full deposit back. All appliances were clean, windows washed, blinds were dusted and window tracks vacuumed and cleaned, vents, walls, ceilings dusted, cabinets and drawers wiped out, toilets and tubs scrubbed, trash removed, baseboards cleaned, lawn mowed and edged, carpets professionally cleaned, fireplace and chimney professionally cleaned (receipts provided.) We did everything we were told and we were still charged $240 for a move out cleaning. We tried to schedule a move out inspection but DPM refused saying they'd do it when we left. I should have demanded a walk through. When I sent a letter disputing the cleaning charges and demanding some kind of evidence of the condition of the property, it was ignored. We are a military family and we had to move across the country so going to small claims court is not an option and hiring a lawyer will cost more than we would recover. I believe DPM is aware of this and knows they can get away with this. BEWARE of doing business with them. Take pictures, demand they do inspections with you present, be very specific about anything when dealing with them, know your rights as a tenant as Details Property Management will most certainly try to take advantage of you. read more

I have been working directly with Heidi the owner or general manager since my previous account manager decided not to look at my work requests for month. Then when he finally looked at the work request I was denied wrongfully. I was able to work with the explain my situation and was treated like everything I said was a lie I was treated like a second class person by details Property Management. I was told that I need to show messages and corespondents with the landlord to fix the house I am living at. I had to send document and pictures I had to send emails and texts before I was even taken seriously. After I spent hours of my time to try and make my home feel like a home instead of a broken cold shack Heidi talked with me and told me things would get better that she would take care of this situation that she apologized about her employees lack of respect and work for my everyday living situation. She read through my paper work and told me that she would get on replacing a as many things she could without landlord approval. I am paying money right now to live in a house that has broken windows and broken light fixtures I have sent in all the necessary communication details even acknowledged that they would schedule a maintenance man then just stopped communicating completely. I have been sending emails and calling with no communication please don't use this company if you want your tenants to be treated with respect please don't use details Property Management if you want to have your house taken care of professional. Please remember that when you rent a home out to someone most people just want a place they can take pride in a place they can feel secure and warm at. If I was able to pick up the phone and talk to them or anyone that cared about my home cared about me paying for what is right then I wouldn't write this message but details make me spend hours of my time fighting to fix my home then doesn't follow through doesn't look at emails doesn't return phone calls please do not trust this company please don't let your tenants have to work with a company that makes their money feel worthless and their time a joke. Scheduled a meeting to view a house. We are motivated, ready to move, took a day off and packed up our two children to go view this house. The property manager no-showed. I called four times before finally getting ahold of the receptionist. When she answered, she said that they had written the areas code for my phone number down incorrectly (260 instead of 360). When I asked why they didn't try 360, I was told they tried 206 and when that didn't work, they wrote me off. When I asked when someone could meet us today, I was told no one was available until next week. My husband and I both work weekdays and they only show M-F 9-5. Needless to say, we will be looking elsewhere for a home to rent. Hope the owners of that home don't mind their home sitting vacant! read more

After reading the reviews here and on a couple of other sites, I am finding myself slightly troubled by the situation I am experiencing. I'll start out by saying that this is a situation that is currently in progress and I'm hoping I will be able to rate five stars on my next review. I am currently a leased tenant at a property managed by this company. Two nights ago, a police officer approached me I was pulling out of a guest parking spot. He proceeded to explain to me that he had received a complaint from the property manager that there were people living in the vehicle that I was driving. Furthermore, a tenant had called the property manager to complain that someone had defecated or the like outside of the vehicle. I explained to the officer that I was a tenant and I am in guest parking for the reason that I had just bought this vehicle. Later it turns out that the only person that could have been spotted marking my car as their territory would have been the prowler that took off with my stereo (I didn't realize that still happened). After I finished speaking with the cop, I went back inside fairly confused and exhausted from work that day. As it was late at night and I would have no luck reaching the management company, I decided to call them the next morning to clear that whole situation up. Since today was my day off, I decided that I could sleep in till afternoon. A while after I woke up (about 3 o' clock) I went downstairs to get my wallet out of the vehicle, but... It was gone. I ensued making calls to the police, the towing companies, and the property managers. I found out from the towing company that my property manager signed the tow and from the police that there was nothing they could do about it now as it is a civil matter. During all this, I could not get in touch with the company once. I left two messages and am waiting on a response from those. As I couldn't get a hold of the company I had to get a ride to Chico Towing to get the car out. I have the receipt for the $340 I paid to get it out. So my work vehicle is back in my possession (parked at another location until this is resolved) and I am one pay-check poorer because someone prowled my car and had drunken too much before the endeavor. Today I will be going to confront the business respectfully and civilly to settle for compensation of the immoral and unlawful tow. I hope my future dealings with DetailsPM will be pleasant, but if I cannot settle I will be taking them to court. In my opinion, the tow was ridiculous and a sign of bad business. They will have a fair chance and opportunity for redemption though and I wish them the best. Now I can only hope they will be reasonable and we can end this with everyone happy in a timely manner. I've used the services of Details PM for many years now as a landlord, and several of my friends have been tenants under Details PM. Details PM does what they say they will do regarding consistently inspecting rental homes (good for both tenant and landlord to make sure the home is in good condition and remains in good condition), Details notifies me timely of repairs needed and gets repairs done and done well. One of the many things I like about Details is that they care about both the tenant and landlord, working in the best interest of both. I'm also a real estate professional in the area and when I attend property management continuing ed, Details is often the only company who has all of their staff present at the continuing ed courses. Details takes their profession seriously, is knowledgeable about state and local laws which protect both tenant and landlord. I can not recommend Details PM enough. read more

We dealt with Details Property Management beginning in late October 2011. We leased a wonderful home in Poulsbo for 15 months. The people at Details are professional, straightforward, effective and efficient. At the same time, they are warm, considerate, and friendly. Any issue we encountered with the home (and they were few and minor) they took immediate action. The most serious issue was a furnace failure at the very beginning of our lease. It was too cold (November) to be in there. They pro-rated our lease payment for the days we had to stay at our son's place until the furnace was fixed. The repair was done as promptly as something like that can be done. Kate, Heidi, and Sotheory were always responsive, fun, and professional. I'd be happy to put my home in their care, and I'd be happy to lease through Details Property Management again. They made a relationship (lessor and lessee) that could potentially be strained or at least overly business-like and dry, more like a friendship, without ever forgetting a high degree of expertise and professionalism. We knew clearly the guidelines and expectations because of clear communication. How often can you honestly tell a landlord you are happy to see them again when they show up at the door? Well, I did so. That should tell you something. You won't be disappointed by Details Property Management. Just take a look at their logo! Clean, attractive, and attention to detail. We have had nothing but dissatisfactory experiences with them, including: * Bad attitudes * Poor communication * House not properly cleaned at move-in * Extremely slow response times to issues, including on potentially dangerous safety issues * Improperly billing us for work done to fix the house (we corrected the issue ourselves with the vendor hired). We had to call them a bunch of times to ask if the place is still available and unfortunately it ended up being rented by someone else. I cannot express in words how impressed I have been with Details Property Management. We rented for 2 years and had nothing but a positive experience with these gals. Their high standard was greatly appreciated. I was coming from the veiw point of owner (renting one of our homes with management company eleswhere) and being a renter ourselves. They managed the heavy duty of balancing and representing both the owners and I(the renter) as we navigated through the last two years. It was a pleasure to have worked with this office and will keep them in mind for future business. We have purchased a home and are no longer renting but will not hesitate in calling them again in the furture if needed. We rented a house for four years before the owners decided to sell. Most of our (albeit minimal) contact with Details was fine, never outstanding, but I would have given 4 stars...there was one time they emailed me about an upcoming inspection that was actually meant for a different house but I wasn't informed until I called 20 minutes after the supposed arrival time...so minimal issues. Until we moved. Unfortunately our experience closing out with Details was terrifically unprofessional. My husband and the owner had come to an agreement that we would pay only a third of our last month's rent as were to move on the 1st of that month. The owner had graciously agreed to not charge us for the full amount and there was an email chain that Debbie from Details was a part of. When my husband came into the office to pay our final rent Julie gave him the bill, stressing that she was "doing us a favor" by lowering the bill to half. When he explained that she in fact was not and that she knew we only owed a third of a month, she cursed at him and raised her voice. And this "conversation" happened in their own office where any client, or potential client, could walk in at any time. Simply uncalled for. I could bring up more issues but this one is why I'm writing the review. (I never write negative reviews.) If you are considering hiring them to look after your property I would definitely look everywhere else first. read more
