Restrooms were clean. Other than the convenience, the vibe was great. The game was interesting . I loved the music and cute fillers during the breaks. It was a motorcycle night on that day so we got to see bunch of amazing bikes in attendance. It was also Thirsty Thursday and they had 2$ beer. They have over 20 racquetball courts that we use for wallyball. The courts are a bit dilapidated and the tiles are coming off, but still functional and reasonable for Saturday morning games. The place overall could use an update but that's not my place on how they use their fees from visitors. They have a lounge area in the center with couches, chairs and tables that work for pre-game meetups and some socializing after our games too. Upstairs they have the woman's locker and bathroom. The men's is on the first floor. The workout machines don't work, more for decoration. I think most people come here only to be play in the courts.

The gym had dirty floors that are slippery and there is a massive wall of windows which create glare and make it easy to lose sight of the ball coming toward you. Also, there is a curtain which divides the courts and is too close to the baseline and impedes some plays.

The other women in the group don't mind changing with the men but I prefer not to, so I requested a separate room (women's changing room, referee room, etc). The woman at the counter, who was less than pleasant, said she "couldn't let" me use a ref room or any other locker room in any of their FOUR rinks. She offered me a place to change with no skate mats, in the furthest rink (1) from the one we were playing on (4). This is totally unacceptable in 2025! I play in many different arenas around Detroit and Toledo, several in much less affluent cities than Troy, and they all provide me with some place to change that can accommodate my skates and is not a public restroom.

There are many reasons to like this facility, namely the large locker rooms, quality ice surfaces, and the pro-shop located in the lobby. The pro-shop is a separate business, but they have all of your equipment needs and can do a good job on your skate sharpening and repairs. There is a snack shop and plenty of vending machines, but there is no bar or alcohol sales. This rink has the full compliment of learn-to-skate, open-skate, youth hockey at all levels and mens' league. I didn't rate this 5 stars because the building is outdated and is missing a few of the modern touches of a true multi-plex. It's still a great place to play, practice or watch hockey.

The location we were originally scheduled to play at was changed last minute to a much further location for us, but it ended up being worth it. A few family members of mine had conflicts and had to pull their players last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and i9 was kind enough to refund them. We're currently playing at a middle school and the process it is very well run by i9. My child is in the youngest age bracket so I appreciate they have been scheduled earlier in the morning as to avoid harsh heat. The staff have been accommodating when teams are missing coaches, always ensuring there are caring coaches ready to assist young players in learning. Our coaches have shared that they were given all materials and it's been very easy to follow along and coach with little experience. Our fees included a jersey and a medal for each participant. My son was hesitant to participate but has really opened up and looks forward to playing!
