I looked around and although they have TONS OF CUTE items, I didn't find anything that caught my eye.... As we walked around, we heard some folks buying fudge and saying how it's the best fudge EVER! So, we walked over to the fudge and taste tasted a few.... YUMMY! Yes, we bought some and so should you! Go check it out!

It was packed with the most amazing products, one of my favorite shops in AZ! I hate to ever write anything but a glowing review for businesses, and I've debated doing so for the past year, but sometimes feedback is valuable. It's a shell of what it was. The first time I visited after the change of ownership I thought maybe they were going out of business and that was why the stock was so minimal. You know when a store is down to selling off the fixtures and a few random items before they close? That was the vibe sadly. I can only imagine that the profit margins on such a store, even when successful, are quite thin, especially if you have more than a handful of people on staff. Maybe there is an issue with enough profit to properly restock. Unfortunately with how limited the stock is, I am not sure how that could change. One review here (Cathy from San Fran, CA who has only ever left one review on Yelp) shared " you can actually walk through the store and see things and it's not so crowded with merchandise as it used to be". Personally I prefer my stores to be filled with merchandise, not a couch, area for the owners kids, and a lot of empty space. Ultimately I'm at a store for merchandise. While it was once always on my list when out hitting the shops, after stopping in half a dozen times since change of ownership, I hate to say it but it's not worth it. If you want some fudge, sure, stop in. If you are looking for the items you used to find at Gingerbread, my recommendation is to try Burly Bear, Red Door, Cottage and Cabin and Country Bliss. Sadly even together I still don't think they provide what Gingerbread once did, but they are all solid places to shop in their own ways. I hold out hope that maybe things can turn around one day! Fingers crossed!

There were lots of cool things both inside & out and I got a nice agate necklace. Our RV spot was a level pull-thru with electricity (Necessary! It was hot when we arrived!) and some shade & picnic table. Perfect for entering Petrified Forest from the South Gate (literally 200 yards from our spot) right at 8am. We would definitely stay again.

We stopped at the Crystal Forest Museum, gift shop & RV Park, just outside the West Park Entrance. RV spaces are free. Yes there are no hookups but there are tables and concrete pads. Also the museum was great. What a collection of artifacts, fossils & petrified wood. The next morning we drove into the Park and stopped at the Visitors Center. This stop is a must. The displays are great and a walk among all the petrified trees in the back is amazing. We then continued our journey through the Park and thru the Painted Desert to the East Entrance. I'm old and seen pieces of petrified wood many times in my travels and have run across some pieces while hunting in the West but the quantity and the size of the pieces and trees here is amazing. If your in the area and have an hour or two to drive the 28 mile loop through this Park and are a rock fan or want to marvel at what Mother Nature can do, you should visit this National Park.

The dinosaurs are huge but then so are the piles upon piles of petrified wood and other rocks surrounding the building. I believe my husband was grateful they were closed, he seemed to relax a bit more as we strolled around the perimeter!! I definitely would have loved to get my hands on some of the fine specimens they had just laying in the dirt! Everywhere we looked it said they were open the afternoon we drove through town but unfortunately it was all locked up and no sign of anybody around. Since we found it on Roadside Attractions, we treated it as such and just enjoyed the unique dinosaurs and a chance to stretch our legs! Perhaps some day we'll return and one of the beautiful rocks will come home with me!

We stopped in to peruse the inventory and basically got into an argument with the crabby old guy who was manning the place. I was just curious on where they get all of their petrified wood, etc. and he told me I asked too many questions and then started to grill me on rocks and the origin of petrified wood??!! Really weird customer service. While my wife was shopping inside he followed me outside - he said he didn't trust me. Like I was going to shoplift a 100 pound rock... The more valuable stuff was inside anyway. What an old coot. Stop for the pictures and move on.

She sent a message to driver for me and let me know that it was still out for delivery. Driver called me about 10 minutes after I called customer service to let me know he was 5 mins from my house. That was Friday 2/14. Today is Monday 2/17 and the roses are still as perky and beautiful as they were when I received them Friday. That's a nice surprise because roses usually die quickly. I see all the negative reviews for Terry's Florist here but I just did not have that experience. Keep in mind this is a third party seller site. You have to be aware that these sites are NOT where the flowers are coming from. They are coming from a local florist near your home who sees the photo u ordered on Terry's Florist website and matches it as closely as they can with what they have on hand. So it's never or very rarely going to be an exact replica. Nothing is, everything will be different because of obvious reasons. So never hold the website accountable for what your local florist sends out to you. Take it out on the florist that actually made the arrangement. It was up to them to fulfill it and match the pic you ordered from as best they can. Give a little grace unless it's just wayyyyy out of the ballpark. My roses are beautiful and I want to thank Terry's florist for such wonderful customer service. To get same day delivery on actual Valentine's Day is amazing! That's probably the busiest floral delivery day of the year.
