I was absolutely panicking because I had recent photos and other important data that hadn't been backed up yet. (I manually back up my photos to an external hard drive, and I hadn't done so in about a month.) The day before, I was at the beach and my phone got splashed with a little water. It was never dropped or submerged, but around midday it went into Recovery Mode. I couldn't find anyone willing to even discuss whether it might be a hardware issue. Over and over, I was told my only option was to restore the phone to factory settings... even at the Apple Store. I found data recovery companies online, but they were expensive and would have required shipping my iPhone across the country for an unknown amount of time. Thankfully, the team at DC Computers recommended Logic Fix. Kyle took one look at my situation and explained that, because of the water exposure, there was a good chance it was a hardware issue. He was honest from the beginning and made no guarantees. He explained that if the memory chip had been damaged, my data might not be recoverable, but he knew what to look for before telling me to erase everything. In my case, he found and replaced a failed sensor, and in probably less than half an hour my iPhone was back to normal with all of my data intact. To him it was no big deal, but to me it meant getting back priceless photos, voice memos, documents, and everything else I thought I might have lost. He also charged a very fair price. What impressed me most wasn't just that he fixed the phone ... it was that he understood preserving my data was more important than simply getting the phone working again. Instead of immediately recommending a factory restore, he took the time to diagnose the actual problem first. I really hope I don't need another iPhone repair anytime soon, but if I do, Logic Fix will be my first stop. TL;DR: Kyle is honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. While everyone else I spoke with recommended restoring my iPhone to factory settings, Kyle looked for the underlying hardware problem first. He quoted me a two-day turnaround, had my phone repaired in under an hour, saved all of my data, and charged a fair price. I couldn't recommend Logic Fix more highly!!

Out of all of downtown San Diego's repair that I asked and called, this one was the most affordable!! He had no problem getting a new screen for my switch and the fix time was so fast probably a day or two to get it fixed. The service was so amazing, no questions asked and was so quick. I totally recommend this to everyone either phones or screens. Always nice to message and check in if they do other screens (they also message quickly)!!! They DID NOT do what they say were going to do. The IOS was NOT updated to see if that would fix…read moreit. The laptop (MacAir) was still PW protected with a PW we didn't know, when I went to pick it up. The LAPTOP they were bugging me for days about picking up was NOT ready. They had to load the IOS which would take 35-45 minutes. When I returned to get the updated LAPTOP I found out they decided to add AVAST Security software WITHOUT my permission. Had they asked I would have declined the offer. BUT once again the STUPID CUSTOMER is not given a choice since DEVICE PROS knows what is best for them and their LAPTOP. I WILL NEVER go back to them for any electronic repairs. I will give filing a formal complaint with the NEX as well. Full story below... Computer was locked when I dropped it off. They said they needed to reload the software and unlock the computer but that would wipe the HD clean. I gave them the okay to do that. The intake service rep said that it was necessary because "That might be the only thing that is wrong with the computer and it will COST YOU LESS MONEY, if we install the newest IOS." I told him it had been dropped. It was not an IOS problem. But he insisted that the software needed to be updated. The FIX not an IOS issue. It had liquid damage. The board had corrosion and when it was DROPPED some of the components came loose. But STUPID customer doesn't know anything. So I got a call almost two weeks ago, after they had the computer for two weeks, that it was ready for pickup. Today I went to the store and the computer was locked with a PW that we DID NOT KNOW which is why we had authorized the HD be wiped clean. They insisted I didn't give them permission to reload the IOS and wipe the HD. It was a different service rep and she did not know first hand what was said, but again wanted to argue with me about it. Finally she agreed to wipe it clean which would take 35-45 minutes. When I returned she gave me the new password for the updated IOS and told me they had also put ANTI-VIRUS software on the computer too. I did not authorize them to add their ADDITIONAL software AVAST Security "Free version" with an upgrade to AVAST Security PRO for $60 per year. I am not happy, I will never recommend or return for service from them. Now I have spent the past hour downloading and will spend another hour reloading and working through the software setup just to COMPLETELY remove the UNWANTED anti-virus software that has .... you can pay for this add-ons. ABSOLUTELY NOT...! Avoid DEVICE PROS.
