If your iPhone goes into Recovery Mode and you don't have a recent backup... all hope is not lost. Take your finger off the Restore button and bring your iPhone to Kyle at Logic Fix. I was absolutely panicking because I had recent photos and other important data that hadn't been backed up yet. (I manually back up my photos to an external hard drive, and I hadn't done so in about a month.) The day before, I was at the beach and my phone got splashed with a little water. It was never dropped or submerged, but around midday it went into Recovery Mode. I couldn't find anyone willing to even discuss whether it might be a hardware issue. Over and over, I was told my only option was to restore the phone to factory settings... even at the Apple Store. I found data recovery companies online, but they were expensive and would have required shipping my iPhone across the country for an unknown amount of time. Thankfully, the team at DC Computers recommended Logic Fix. Kyle took one look at my situation and explained that, because of the water exposure, there was a good chance it was a hardware issue. He was honest from the beginning and made no guarantees. He explained that if the memory chip had been damaged, my data might not be recoverable, but he knew what to look for before telling me to erase everything. In my case, he found and replaced a failed sensor, and in probably less than half an hour my iPhone was back to normal with all of my data intact. To him it was no big deal, but to me it meant getting back priceless photos, voice memos, documents, and everything else I thought I might have lost. He also charged a very fair price. What impressed me most wasn't just that he fixed the phone ... it was that he understood preserving my data was more important than simply getting the phone working again. Instead of immediately recommending a factory restore, he took the time to diagnose the actual problem first. I really hope I don't need another iPhone repair anytime soon, but if I do, Logic Fix will be my first stop. TL;DR: Kyle is honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. While everyone else I spoke with recommended restoring my iPhone to factory settings, Kyle looked for the underlying hardware problem first. He quoted me a two-day turnaround, had my phone repaired in under an hour, saved all of my data, and charged a fair price. I couldn't recommend Logic Fix more highly!! read more

I just wanted to take my time to write a review. The guy operating this was so quick to message me back and asked if they can also do a switch screen repair. Out of all of downtown San Diego's repair that I asked and called, this one was the most affordable!! He had no problem getting a new screen for my switch and the fix time was so fast probably a day or two to get it fixed. The service was so amazing, no questions asked and was so quick. TLDR: Kyle at Logic Fix was so kind and I highly recommend bringing your phone in for repair here! The price is very affordable compared to what Apple charges, and I appreciated that he was very transparent about everything that was wrong with my phone and explained every issue. Although I went in to get my phone fixed and it ended up not being fixable, I still walked out with peace of mind knowing that he did everything he could to try and fix it + he mentioned he wouldn't charge me if it can't be fixed. Full story: Over the weekend, I attended a concert Saturday night my phone randomly stopped working when I got home (did not drop it or expose it to water). The screen just turned white and never went back to the normal display. I went to my iPad to see if my photos from the concert had synced through iCloud and unfortunately, only a few blurry videos from the night transferred over, but none of the hundreds of pictures I took with friends ): I took it to the-mobile to see what could be done and they just told me to order a replacement phone. I took it to Apple the next day to see if they had a different option and they said they could replace the screen for $379, without guarantee that it would even fix the issue and get my pictures back. They plugged in my phone to try and mirror the display on their computer, and the computer did not even register my phone. They also said the charging port had stopped working. The Genius Bar employee recommended getting a new phone through t-mobile or trying my luck with CryWolf or DC Computers in San Diego. So I emailed DC Computers asking for a phone screen repair quote, they replied informing me they no longer repair iPhones but that I should contact Logic Fix in the same Hillcrest shopping center. I had my boyfriend call Logic Fix to get a quote and Kyle let him know it would be $109 for LCD (cheaper display) and $179 for OLED (apple factory type display). Logic fix was open until 8pm and I didn't need an appointment so it was perfect, I drove there immediately after work. Kyle spent an hour and a half trying to troubleshoot the issue. First it seemed like water damage to the charging port and screen, but once we replaced those 2 things, my phone kept re-booting without explanation. Kyle was on the phone with his motherboard-repair-technician and mentioned that it seemed like damage to the motherboard; a lot worse than just water damage to the charging port and screen. He said he could order a replacement part from the technician but it would cost another $50 (on top of the $100 screen replacement and $50 charging port replacement), and still might not guarantee full data recovery. At this point was when I decided to let go of the attachment to those photos and just order the replacement iPhone from T-mobile. I feel okay with losing the photos now that I know I tried everything and Kyle tried his best to find a fix. If I ever have an iPhone issue again, I know where to come! read more

I had dropped my phone pretty good this time to where these green "light sabers" (long vertical lines) were so bright and taking up the entire middle of my screen. It was bad. Appreciate the honesty. I had previously had issues with the charging port on my iPhone 12. I had to bend charging cables slightly just to get my phone to charge. Tried cleaning the port myself and it worked temporarily. Eventually I thought I just needed my charging port to be replaced which was quoted at an honest $99. I came in and even though I told Kyle that I tried cleaning the port myself and it didn't work, he first tried cleaning the port himself with his tools and that did the trick.
