He said it was sweet and that is his preferred flavor profile. He did not like the boba, stating it was flavorless. I loved my Viet Coffee Crème Brûlée. It was not overtly sweet as the potency of caffeine from the Vietnamese coffee kicked my butt - just what I wanted. It was strong, well balanced with the crème brûlée and was so flavorful. I don't think her Korean corn dog was cooked all the way in the middle. She actually couldn't finish it because of that. She ordered the hot Cheetos corndog. The hot Cheetos dust was mainly on the top of the corn dog. It was not completely covering the corn dog. She ordered a half-and-half and because the cheese was so melted it didn't taste right since the middle wasn't cooked all the way. As far as the chicken bowl, it was OK. The chicken was cooked and you could tell it had been marinated in the sauce, but it didn't taste very fresh. It comes with glass noodles, a salad, and potato salad. I'm not gonna say I was impressed cause I wasn't. The location in itself was very big and had a lot of like electronic stuff in it, but it looked like half of the stuff didn't even work. The employee was kind, but was not very engaging. When I asked her about the chicken bowl, she just referred me to read what was on the wall. This review is only for the donuts, we did not order any drinks. We got the last Dubai chocolate donut for the day. It was not good. It wasn't sweet, lacked pistachio flavor, tasted nothing like the Dubai chocolate bar. Same goes for the Oreo mochi donut too. Not sweet, it tasted like it was sitting out for a while, it was stale. You can order mochi donuts, Korean Corn Dogs, Shaved Ice, Dubai Chocolate, drinks like milk tea, refreshers, smoothies, etc. We ordered their Viet Coffee Creme Brulee, Taro Creme Brulee and their Taro CoCo Smoothie Sago. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their Creme Brulee drinks and mentioned the boba they added was perfect. Not hard, not too soft but perfectly chewy. First time getting boba here and I really like how there's a lot of options and special drinks that you don't normally find elsewhere. Their online menu is a little different from their in person menu and it would be great if it could be updated regularly. I had family in town and gave the cashier 11 different drinks to make. It took about 10 minutes to finish and one of the coworkers was kind enough to help me take these drinks to my car. The refreshers can be a little too sweet even with less sweetness. I place an order on DoorDash for this restaurant and let me tell you I will never be doing that again. I paid over $30 for two corn dogs and a drink. First of all the drink was wrong. When we went there their kiosks weren't working and you had to order at the counter and I think they don't accept cash. Me and my boyfriend always come here for boba or even just any snacks, we love going for a little treat but overall the service is always good, today we had a small hiccup where some ignorant pet owners had their pets off leash and not even watching what they were doing basically their dog had left droppings right outside the entrance and ignored it until I accidentally stepped in it the staff was super helpful and gave me napkins and I'm assuming it was the owner or manager but he went outside as soon as he saw it happen and cleaned it up in the same minute, I felt bad and irritated only because the owners of the pets had just been watching not even offering to clean after their own pets, overall they went above and beyond and apologized multiple times they were super friendly and handled the situation very well. The drinks here are great! Not only are they way cheaper than the boba spots nearby, but their drink are also gigantic by comparison! My personal favorites are the Sunset Galaxy refresher and the Coco Taro smoothie. The food here is also great, with their Spicy Popcorn Chicken being the best popcorn chicken in the area! We finally tried this place and will most likely not return. We got a cookies n cream smoothie and cantaloupe smoothie with boba. Nothing special about the smoothie and the boba was off. Rude Service from One Staff Member Ruined the Experience My sister and I came in with high hopes, but the experience was really disappointing due to the attitude of one particular woman--possibly the owner or manager. My sister ordered an Angel Pop drink, 4 Fruity Pebble mochi donuts, 2 Ube mochi donuts, and 3 Korean corn dogs. At first, the woman started packing only 2 of each donut. My sister politely corrected her, saying she had ordered 4 Fruity Pebble and 2 Ube. The woman changed to a bigger box but still got the flavors wrong. When my sister corrected her again, the woman looked visibly annoyed--no apology, no acknowledgment, just a straight face like we were inconveniencing her. When it was time to check out, she didn't hand my sister the receipt or straw--she just dropped them on the counter without a word. Even if the speaker placement made hearing the order difficult, it doesn't excuse how rude and dismissive she was, especially when the mistakes were on her end. Thankfully, another employee was very kind. We told her about the rude service, and she apologized on the woman's behalf. The employee said they we aren't allowed to give a box unless you buy 3 donuts. I asked her can I ask the manager. The manager said we don't give out boxes but this time I will do it for you, only this time. She then hands me the candied fruit in a cup (still uncovered where it can easily fall out) and handed it to me. I said this isn't a box. She said well we don't give out boxes. I asked for a refund as I didn't have the energy anymore and for the manager to say "oh I'll do it this time" then not even do it is weird and a waste of my time. I gave feed back that it would be a better experience for customers to have a box or something better to hold that. She didn't respond. It seemed she didn't care about this customer's experience at all. Making a purchase of 2 donuts and tanghulu doesn't meet the qualification of getting a box even though I'm spending more, make it make sense? As far as the donut, is very sweet if your into the candied fruit especially. It has the mochi donut texture that I like. Unfortunately it seems they use old oil or don't change it frequently because it has an after taste of old oil. It's cute shop though. Wish there was better customer service and regard for a customer experience. Safe to say I won't be back as I don't want to be treated like I'm inconveniencing a business by being a customer and asking for a simple request. 01/11/24- Located near Target Vallejo beside Pho Vallejo. Went here on a Saturday night. Greeted upon entering is nice. Ordered 2 Korean dogs- mozarella, Cheetos half n half, takis, taro smoothie, tang hulu and strawberry sago. Service was good. Ashley pays attention to make the order right. I was exclusively wanted to know if the reviews here about rude service were true. It turns out that it was a pleasant experience. The korean dogs has some raw inside batter part as you bite. Batter is a bit bland compared to other popular korean dogs chain like Mochinut. They can add for up to two condiments. I personally loved the spicy mayo. The kick of spice is superb! A few things that could be done: -To accept cash (only card is accepted here) - The speaker is loud and should not be placed where people order because they could not hear and fully understand each other. - Covered garbage can (at least 1) should be present for diners to place the trash after they eat. We had to throw it on the outside garbage can in the plaza. - Batter should be fully cooked all the way. Nobody likes raw batter in the inner part of the Korean dogs. -Tang hulu's caramelized sugar part is a little burnt which makes it a little bitterlike burnt sugar. All in all, not too bad at all as the service met my expectations. Might be back to see some changes (if will be listened to). I am still wondering how they come up with the business name of Devil and Angel... Still will unlock the mystery :) read more
