Friendly staff and lots of options to choose from. Indoor or outdoor seating is available. Cash only so bring your cash or they have an atm available indoors. Small little coffee shop worth checking out.

When I think of this place I think of its great coffee and community (this is what some franchised coffee shops pretend to be but this place is the real deal!) Not only do they have a great variety of drink options they also have nice selection of desserts including ice cream and grilled type sandwiches. They often have seasonal drinks and events like their anniversary open house celebrations! There's always someone with a smile ready to serve you and you'll often see their usuals in deep discussions and or folks working on their laptops. The Benicia Coffee company isn't a very large space but it has a big hometown feel and it can get very lively depending on the time of day (but in a good way, even at it's busiest times it's not very loud) This is a great place to bring the family, for a date, catch up with a friend and or get some work done while having a great cup of coffee! You can't go wrong with this place! J One thing to note: this place is cash only (but they do have a ATM available in the cafe!)

Be aware - it's CASH ONLY. Coffee, breakfast pastry, and a laptop. This was my first visit here. I only ordered a basic latte and a pastry from the display case, and I paid $10 PLUS - eek! I was a little thrown off by "cash only," and I almost left because I never carry cash. The cashier pointed out the ATM machine located in the back. Normally, I would have passed but I wanted to give this small business a chance. I believe I paid an additional $1.50 transaction fee, PLUS my bank charged me another $3.00. No bueno! Other than that, Benicia Coffee Company is a cozy little coffee shop located on Columbus Parkway near the Vallejo city limits. Customer service was good. Ambiance and pastry was good. Sadly, WiFi was a little spotty. Coffee was average for what I ordered, but it looks like they have a lot of great coffee beans to try. Definitely want to go back and try some of their specialty coffee and maybe some of their food. This time with cash on hand.

Love this spot. Super chill and a great place to tuck away in a corner and study while enjoying a good brewed coffee. They offer a variety of different coffee grinds and everything else you need to be a coffee spot. They only accept cash or check which is a bummer. Overall, love this spot for what it is. Friendly staff, good coffee, and quiet.

Amazing staff, very friendly. Great environment for coffee chat and studying. Very happy with the affordability, $11.75 for a BLT, chips, salsa, and a drink.

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with everything on it. So delicious! Employees are very nice!

Ordered a Cream Cheese Pumpkin loaf. It was small, dry & not warmed up. For the price of $3.50 I'll go back to Rrags Cafe for a much better breakfast treat!

If you want to avoid the big chain coffee places, this place might be your new favorite. So far I've tried the Chai tea, a caramel latte and a mocha, a tuna melt and a pastry. The chai tea was excellent, the latte pretty tasty and I spilt the mocha all over myself at my car, so can't say anything other than "double check your coffee lids before you attempt to get in your car with a hot coffee" lol. The tuna melt was excellent-I'm fact I've gotten that 2X. The ambiance is low key and chill, although I noticed some of my fellow oldsters getting a little animated one day over a discussion over who knows what Be sure to get your coffee discount card stamped!

This coffee shop opens so early that we can get great coffee and roll and roll on. Cash is best! Don't miss it. Easy on and off the 780.

On my first day in Vallejo, I tried another Vietnamese restaurant across town, and it was such a disappointment that I almost swore off Vietnamese food in Vallejo altogether. Being from Sacramento, where we're fortunate to have some of the best Vietnamese food in California, my expectations are pretty high when it comes to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I arrived about five minutes before closing because of traffic, and even though they were already past their closing time, they still welcomed me in, took my order, and treated me with kindness. That level of hospitality is rare and greatly appreciated. I ordered the cơm tấm with shrimp, egg, and grilled meat, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. The meat was flavorful and tender, the shrimp was grilled perfectly, and the egg had a soft yolk that tied the whole dish together. It tasted exactly like the authentic Vietnamese food I grew up eating with my family. Every bite brought back memories of home. The cherry on top was finding out that the restaurant is family-owned and operated. When I visited, it was a father and son working together, helping customers and running the restaurant with genuine care. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. I plan on continuing to spend time in Vallejo, and I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, generous portions, and warm family hospitality, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Since then, I've visited this place a few more times and was able to order more things on the menu. And everything keeps on being delicious here. I'm on my next few trips. Deli Only Review:…read more Finally got around to trying the deli for a sandwich after all these years and hearing all the good things about them. Previous attempts were met with 30-45min. wait times that a quick lunch break would never allow. This time, I got lucky with a quick in & out visit on a Friday during lunchtime. The store's an almost comical-surreal throwback to the old food co-op's from the 1970's (for all us grown folks that were part of that era). Like stepping back into a time machine. But, the wonderful smells from the deli hit me when I walked in, which was great and got the appetite juices flowing big time. A two meat cold cut sandwich w/ cheese will set you back $17, tax included. Which is about the ceiling of what I'm willing to pay currently for a similar take-out sandwich anyplace else. Adding that 2nd meat is what kicks the price up a few more bucks. A heated sandwich request adds .50c and extra meat is another $2 on top. Truth be told, most other deli's and sandwich shops have an equivalent option for slightly less $ it seems. Would be gravy if they threw in a can of generic soda pop (Shasta, Cragmont or the like) and maybe a mini bag of chips for this pricepoint, but whatever. Not a deal breaker. Sandwich was very good and they advertise using Boarhead brand meats. It's a winner, if not an everyday lunch option based on price. Check it.

The folks here were very kind and polite. They were very helpful in ordering as well. I ended up getting the French dip sandwich. The price was pretty in line with what it is nowadays. (Early 2026) I thought the sandwich was tasty and well made. Again, I can't stress how kind the folks here were. One of the kids working brought me my water even though I didn't mind going up to the counter to grab it. Just a great place to grab a quick and delicious lunch. That's why it's so disappointing that my experience ended on such a negative note. When I checked out, I was told there was a 50¢ surcharge for using my Visa debit card. I've been told this before in different purchases from this sandwich shop. But I finally asked the gentleman at the counter today about the surcharge, and he told me it was "just how the machine is." When I pulled up the information on my phone explaining that debit card surcharges generally aren't allowed, he dismissed it and said I would have to speak with the owner. When I spoke with the owner, I was hoping for a simple explanation. Instead, she became combative, brushed off my concern, and said, "Everyone around here (Benicia) does it." Which is simply not true. I wasn't trying to argue--I was simply asking about a charge that didn't seem right. The food is genuinely good, but the way my concern was handled left a bad impression. If you pay with a debit card, I'd recommend checking your receipt carefully to make sure you know exactly what you're being charged. I hope the business reviews its payment practices and takes customer concerns more seriously in the future. Before they are reported to the state's department of Justice or to the county department of weight and measures by someone for their charging practices.

Just along the main strip of town, this place is busy. We stopped by early morning just a little after they were opened. Even mid week and there was a massive line already forming. They must be good. There's two entrance, first being the main where the front door is. Patio seating available along the sidewalk. And then the back entrance where the majority of the seating is outside. It's like a secret garden with all the trees and plants. Somewhat a treehouse feel as well. They have 2 levels with tables. Beautiful spot sitting there under the tree having a nice cup of joes and a beautiful pastries. Indoor also has some seating along the front and I believe there's a second floor right above the entrance. There's mainly one line for everything. You wait to place your order if you wanted pastries and food. I think you could just order drinks at counter if you're not getting food but don't quote me on that. Everyone was waiting together. Once you reach the top, there's the counter of fresh baked pastries that's made daily. Things do sell out pretty fast. We literally arrived not long after they open and the ham and cheese croissant was already sold out. Besides pastries, there's fresh baked bread. Coffee drinks were pretty good too. After you pick what you want, the cashier is at the end and that's where you pay. There's a counter at the back where drinks are picked up. The whole place has an open kitchen feel where you could actually see all the workers preparing the sweets. In the back kitchen, you could walk by and see the pastries chef preparing and putting together the fresh sweets. It's like you're part of the kitchen. It's a cute place and it does get busy. The locals know about this place so it a hot spot. The holiday makers know which their names is getting out there and making a big splash for them. We've been a few times while in town and each time, alway busy and great. Amazing pastries and good drink. It is on the pricer side but that's pretty much everywhere you go these days.

The store was smaller than I expected. I got there after lunch and they were out of most of the breads.
