Fun place in downtown Xenia. This place is right on the bike trail. Not sure which one since they all connect. They offer their own brews and guest brews. Service is very good. Love the atmosphere. Beer me! This is a micro- brewery (no food) that serves a very nice selection of house made beers. I had the Two Hops this Time. It's a pale ale with citrusy Amarillo hops added in. Nice! My SO had the Nitro Dankle. This is a Dunkel beer with nitrogen as the fizzing agent. Very nice beer on the darker side. Yup, I'll be back. read more

Xenia brewery named after the DEVIL WIND found in this area. Lost of historical pics on the wall, some inaccessible darts (must be due to the pandemic) and they have a food truck on Saturday. They had a unique sweet banana strawberry cider, a strawberry lemonade brew and a brew with a hint of lime.... forget their clever names. Brews were cold and refreshing. Lots of picnic tables outside and dog friendly and biker friendly. This town loves bicycles! Nice relaxing and inviting vibe here. read more

Continued WONDERFUL experiences in local, Dayton-Springfield area breweries!! I don't care if you don't drink a drop, I think the brewery scene is a great, laid-back place for young, old, middle of the road (and dogs!!) to come together, try new brews, and get away from the same old, same old, cookie-cutter chain experience. You can't help but be impressed by the time and dedication that the owners have put into getting their "baby" off the ground, and even if you're not a true blue beer fan, there's A LOT to appreciate here! Industrial, yet cozy set up at the end of the main drag here in Xenia, we luckily arrived early (about 5:30 or so), put a dinner order in at the outside food truck, and found great seats right in the middle of everything. Bob ordered a flight of some interesting sounding IPAs, I sampled a tasty peach cider, and we played some table shuffleboard while waiting for our dinner to be brought in and the band to set up and start playing. Friendly crowd, knowledgeable staff, great local band, nice setting (check out the outdoor patio once the warm weather returns!) and some awesome home brews to sample!! Can't go wrong..!!! Cool little brewery in downtown Xenia. Devil Wind referring to the tornadoes that destroyed Xenia in the 70's. They typically cover most types. IPA, ales, stouts, sours and ciders. They rotate seasonally. No food in the brewery but I have seen food trucks parked near their patio. I have never had a beer here that I have disliked. That is rare for me because I usually find at least one per brewery. Very casual atmosphere. Recommended stop for sure. read more

Devil Wind is a new brewery. It's surprisingly good for the location. This area needs better bar options. Finally something to drink other than Bud and Miller. It's not some nasty hole either. This looks hip and modern. I had the Frontier IPA. It's about $5 for a pint. This wasn't overly hoppy like many of this variety. It would have been nice to try more but I had to drive. The inside is clean and spacious. It has merchandise for sale including shirts. The staff was capable of answering questions about the beer, so they seem like they know their stuff. I would like to try some more of their beers. It's new so they are still just getting started. Maybe they will have more the next time. read more

The nitro stout is spectacular -- smooth and rich with a thick, creamy head. Red Velvet Cake stout is OK, with a distinctive sweetness. Their mule is crisp, light, and refreshing. I think I may have been there at a down time for them. Though it was a Friday night, there was no band, and there weren't many customers. There's no food service (other than a food truck parked outside). The bar itself is very sparsely decorated. Cool to see all the old tornado history, but there's not much else. Having said that, it's probably a pretty fun place when there's a band and more people, or when the weather is nice enough to sit outside. And that nitro stout -- yum! And the mule would be perfect on a hot summer day. Oh, and the folks behind the bar were very friendly. I'd definitely stop again for the beer. read more

I'm happy to see new breweries popping up! This area would be really cool if they fixed it up a bit (downtown Xenia). My boyfriend and I had been hearing good things about Devil Wind ever since they opened up. So we had pretty high expectations. The building is cute. It's got a nice relaxed vibe inside. The employees were great, very kind and willing to help. But...I have to say the beers weren't that great. We live about 35 minutes South of this place so it was kind of a let down to drive out there for not good beer. And to be fair, I only tried three of them, but that's because The rest of them were IPAs and I don't like IPAs unless they are made really well and really juicy. The stout tasted like a cigarette ashtray. My boyfriend got a New England IPA that was not good. And I ended up with the ESB which was drinkable, but it's safe to say we didn't stay for a second round. I truly wish the best for this new brewery and look forward to trying other beers from them later down the line. read more

Live from a very empty patio (all the patrons are at tables in the back) issa review! I was driving back from Yellow Springs to Cincy and abruptly turned in once I saw the brewery open. Im a dark beer drinker, preferably something with high abv so was excited when I saw the night stalker which is a dark beer with 9.5% abv! In the covid era I won't consume anything inside so I was delighted that they had an empty space for me to sip this delicious brew with as much peace as one can have in the era of a pandemic. Prices were reasonable and wine x cocktails were available for folks who don't drink beer. Definitely stop by, i think theres something for everyone and the strip of downtown Xenia is low key cool. read more

I was excited to hear of their grand opening so i jumped in the truck and made the trek to Xenia. They chose a location right in the heart of the city. There is some construction going on out front right now so at first I was struggling to figure out where to park but they have parking all along the south side of their building. Things will only be better when the work is done. I learned this space has been many things over the years. I was impressed at how successful they were at making it their own. They have a decent sized bar and plenty of other seating. I sat at the bar first, got a flight, and then grabbed a pint of their ESB and wandered around. The beers I tried were very solid. My favorite was the ESB. I felt it was very unique and definitely caught me off guard. They were definitely ready for a crowd. It looked like all hands on deck. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I learned that the Indians used to call Xenia the city of the Devil wind because of the tornadoes. They also had tshirts with the hashtag #GetTwisted. For entertainment they had shuffleboard, video games, and touchtunes. It was a nice visit. It is on the list of places to frequent. I am excited to see what additional beers they put out. They have I think 12 taps but only had 6 choices this time. read more

Mmmmmm good beer, I tried the seasonal fest and dunker beers. One of the brewers was working, it was nice to talk to him about the beer. They are filling growlers. They have local wines, and will make signatures cocktails with premier spirits. I even saw a real dart board. read more

Beer is fantastic I'm doing the Ohio brewers association app thing, so I've been to a lot of Ohio breweries. A lot of them have meh beer or good beer that's not unique. Me and my wife noted several great and outstanding beers on our flights. ESB is like a less dark Guinness with a bit of an English bitter style mixed in liked it. Small town had a great hop profile (ipa). My favorite was the helles. Yummy and refreshing. read more

Let me start by saying we stopped in on a Friday evening and were pleasantly pleased. The brewery wasn't packed but there were plenty of people there. The open atmosphere was awesome and the brewery itself was super clean. The woman who was bartending was pleasant and accomodating. All the brews we tried were delicious. We enjoyed the arcade games as well as the darts. We can't wait to back for another visit soon. read more

We stopped in here for a quick drink. We had time to kill and happened upon this place. First of all, the bar is big and there's a lot of seating. There's only street parking but on a rainy Saturday we had no issues finding parking. Anyway, there are giant TV's and they had the game on so that was great. The bartenders are really nice and helpful. The bathrooms were really clean and there are darts, arcade games and a few other games in the back. There's also couches up front. This place was just pretty chill and they had a really amazing watermelon sour. We will be back next time we are in Xenia and hopefully they'll have stickers. We are sticker freaks! read more

The brewery was surprisingly filled with a lot of people for a Christmas craft sale. It was well organized and the service remained great even when it was busy. The drinks were exceptional. They had very little drinks that were unique like sours, but they had a lot of traditional styles that were very good. The bar tender was extremely personable. I was in town for an event at the fairgrounds and saw this place as I drove in to town. Stopped in on my way out and was very pleasantly surprised. Turns out they've only been open 7 weeks. Mostly locals, all happy to chat about most everything. The atmosphere is bright, airy and friendly bar. They had several different beers plus some hard ciders. $6 a flight of 4, $5 a pint. No real food, but both nights I went there (yes, I went back the second night!) there were awesome food trucks parked in front. I am a bit of a beer snob. Not every one of the beers were to my taste, but none were bad. The wheat beer is not like a Hefeweizen, instead of a yeasty flavor this had lots of caramel. The IPAs (they had three...) were nice and hoppy, plenty of pine. The English Bitter was heavenly, not heavy with a good chocolate body. The real star is their German-style lager, with a good hoppiness but real smooth mouth feel. This place is worth an hour's drive out of your way. They sell kegs to some local bars, and don't have a canning or bottling line (yet?), so around Xenia is the only place to get it. Are there better beers anywhere else? Sure, but this place is very near the top with every one they make. Bottom line: If you are anywhere near Dayton/Cincinnati, try this place, you'll be glad you did. read more

This is a nice addition to the craft beer scene in the area. We regularly drink at Mother Stewart's in Springfield and enjoy the high quality brews there. This place has quality product, just like Mother's. However, they have different kinds of beers and that makes them the perfect addition to the area. These two establishments really compliment each other. If you have an open day, visit both Devil Wind and Mother's to enjoy flavorful, special beers in cool, fun environments. read more
