What a delightful spot in the greater Dayton area. Peaceful location with a great list of their own wines. They just came out with a lavender wine, must try next time. Their Pinot Grigio and Merlot were very good. They have a few covered tables on the front patio and a good amount of tables inside. Also tables out on property, seems like many people bring their own chairs and just setup shop. They had some amazing food trucks for food and desert that were good and just added to the great time with my wife. I'd highly recommend checking out Brandeberry Winery. You'll love it, plenty of space for kids to run around and baths inside the winery by the wine bar. I went to this winery in the evening and it was secluded enough that you can see the stars clearly. It was peaceful and a nice way to start the experience. I imagine it would look just as quaint during the day time as there are tables out on the patio. I did their wine tasting--and a nice surprise was that you get to keep the wine glass afterwards! The service was more hands-off but when ordering and interacting with the hostess, they were nice. The majority of the wines I had tasted syrupy unfortunately, overpowering the base of the wine itself. If you're a wine and a pet lover, this is the perfect place for you! I attended the annual Dogtober Fest and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I look forward to attending next year, it supports a great cause with portions of the proceeds going to Clark County SPCA. It was a well planned event; ample parking, plenty of staff, a variety of vendors and food trucks, also live music. Most importantly, a nice variety of wines to taste. There was a pet costume contest, silent auction, and raffle. There was something for everyone. If you're not an animal lover, no problem, majority of pets were leashed or in wagons. The winery interior is somewhat small, all the activities were held outside with plenty of canopies, tables and chairs. The combination of live music, cute costumed pets and wine was a guaranteed good time, the crowd was super friendly. Staff was attentive and very knowledgeable about the wines. The location is completely rural, a few miles from 70/Rt.4. I look forward to coming back on a nonevent day. The only thing to be mindful of is the overflow parking. It's in a field that could be difficult to maneuver if you or someone you're with has mobility issues. It will be difficult to push a wheelchair if you have to park in the overflow parking. For good wine, great ambience in a country like setting, I strongly recommend Brandeberry Winery. read more

I love the wine from Brandeberry, but my experince visiting them was a little stressful. You see, they are a dog friendly facility, but when I arrived, my little gremlin pushed past me through the door and the loose winery dog was right in her face. A little bad body language and we ran out the door with the big dog following. I threw mine up on a picnic table by the time they caught up to us and thoughtfully put the big dog in the back room. I got some wine to go and took off. The winery is really cute, with an indoor dining area and some picnic tables, and it looked like some cute shop items and ice cream. I'm a big fan of their wine-o-ritas (white wine/margarita combo that is sweet but not cloying), but will probably order delivery next time and skip the patio visit. read more

This is the second time my husband and I have come here while visiting Yellow Springs. While I was at the counter trying to decide what wine I wanted to get my husband, the woman helping me was recommending a lavender wine which sounded weird to me so I asked if I could try a taste of it to see if we'd like it before buying a bottle or glass. I didn't like it, so I asked to try a different one which I ended up ordering. When my bill came, I noticed I was charged $1.75 for these tiny samples that I assumed were free. I guess I shouldn't have assumed, but it was not mentioned to me and the price for the sample seemed so inflated for the tiny sip I had from what was poured. I've never been to a wine place that charged me when I asked to taste wine before buying a bottle. The atmosphere is great on Saturdays with live music aside from the amount of bugs. If you like sweet wines, this is your place but for a normal wine drinker you won't like the dry wine options. read more

i heard about an event this winery was hosting and decided to give it a chance. I have never been to a winery before and was not sure on the ordering procedure. instead of being understanding and helpful the staff at this event chose to talk down to me and talk to me as if i was a child. for example, i was filling out the card for the sample platter and i didn't not know i had go put my name on it. after being corrected by the short tempered staff member i wrote my name on the bottom and gave the card back to her. there was a long line and i was trying my best to get out of the way so everyone else can order, and i guess in my rush i put my name in the wrong spot and the staff member said "you can at least put your name in the right space." like who talks to another person, let alone a paying customer like that. there was another instance with the same staff member trying to tell my family and i we couldn't occupy two tables when there was over eight of us, and also lectured my underage cousin on bringing in her own drink. may i remind you this is a winery and only had three non-alcoholic choices for those who do not drink/ those who are underage. overall a horrible first experience. if you don't know how winery etiquette works then don't even bother coming here, lord knows the staff won't be of any help. read more

I want some wine from Brandeberry Winery. It's a nice place near Yellow Springs with a good selection of affordable products. The wines seem to be on the sweeter side which is okay. It has opportunities for tastings or corporate and private parties. They have live music on Saturdays so you have something to listen to. It's a nice comfortable place. It's open Thursdays to Saturdays. They have totally free admission and parking. Its manager and winemaker is a former professor at a nearby college who has lots of experience. There are flights of 6 wines for $5, and you can keep the glass. It has about 20 types of wines. They are mostly pretty affordable compared to other places. I like everything that I've tried. The wines seem to be sweet which is okay. I like the sweeter wines because they are easy to swallow. There is plenty to choose. A few of them include blackberry and cherry wine, and the grapes include the Cayuga, Chardonnay, Merlot, Seyval, and Syrah. They got lots of samples. I think I'm not that picky about wine. They have live music on Saturdays which is usually by local artists so it's supportive of the community. I recommend it to anyone looking for affordable wines. The winery is located near some good restaurants and shops. You will find something to like if you want sweeter wines. read more

I happened to detour to stop at Brandeberry Winery during my most recent drive from Canton, OH back to Florida and I have to say that I am beyond satisfied with the results of that 1 hour detour! Their wines are OUTSTANDING! If they delivered to Florida I'd pay any cost to make it happen! A beautiful night for a drive out in the country, to an amazing setting and a true hidden gem! They have live, local music on Saturday nights, and we knew we had hit the jackpot when there were no parking spaces available (though overflow is close by at an adjacent field) and great tunes and gentle late spring/early summer breezes were wafting through the air! There's outdoor seating on the patio, plenty of room to set up your own chairs or blanket and indoor seating as well. Don't come hungry, as the limited (they were out of the "meat" for the meat and cheese platter by about 7pm), somewhat over-priced finger food isn't going to do much more than "wet your whistle," but you're there for the WINE, which is varied, interesting and will offer something for everyone's taste. You can order a flight, which is a taste of 6, or a glass, or by the bottle once you decide what you like. Order at the counter, they'll pour the wine for you to bring back to your table; and if you order food, they'll bring it to you. This is a newer, family-owned winery, and I suppose they still have some service-related kinks to take care of, especially on busy nights like we experienced, but I see great things for this place!! read more

Back on the Ohio Wine trail at Brandelberry Winery, cute place near the town of Yellow Springs. The tasting room is located off the parking lot and has a nice patio in front to enjoy and country scenery and sip some wine. The tasting room is large with plenty of tables and a small bar for sampling wines. Being a fairly nice Saturday the small bar was packed with people sampling the wine. We found a spot and got a tasting list. Wines available are expansive ranging from dry reds to sweet fruit wines. Always something for everyone. Vines did not seem to be present from looking at the property, so the juice product comes from another location. At least some of their juice used in their wine comes from Ohio, nice touch if they don't grow their own grapes. Most tastings are a dollar a piece, with some of the tastings being 1.50. If you taste 6 wines you get to keep the glass. Of course I did 6 tastings mostly dry to semi sweet reds and white wine. I enjoyed what I had and ended up buying a bottle of Vidal ( dry white wine) read more

They had a Halloween party with a costume contest on October 24, 2020. I called at noon and was told contest at 730pm. Cool. Driving an hour to get there I called halfway there to see if it was still the same and was told yes. I get there at 701pm and they already did the contest. I told them I drove an hour and asked if there was any kind of consolation prize for wasting my time and gas. They said sorry. Nope. That is not a way to run a party in which I verified twice the contest time. Poor management! read more

This is a great place to enjoy some wine with friends or family. They have live music on the weekends, and it's extra awesome if there's beautiful weather. It's a family owned place with a lot of sweet wines, which I really enjoy. My friend and I did the wine tasting, and it was great being able to try so many at reasonable prices. You can also buy bottles inside. We ordered a spinach and artichoke dip to go with the wine, and it was tasty as well. I'd definitely come back some time. I love this place. It's my favorite summer pass time. I am a lover of sweet wines. Their wine is so flavorful and true to description. The cranberry wine is like drinking a delicious spiked cranberry juice. Same with the black berry as well as Berry Monster. I will say that my two favorites are Forever Home and Not Your Mothers Red, which is the best wine to make Sangria! They are friendly good hearted people and the property is beautiful and relaxing. I am so disappointed in this business. The music was awesome but the people who run the winery are not nice. People were asked to leave when there were open tables. They weren't asked nicely either. This is the second time I've seen this here. I will not be back. There are animals running all over the place and hanging around the food prep areas. I have come here with large groups and with just a girl buddy and every time, the staff have been friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and causal and makes for a very enjoyable place to try new wines. And there are a lot of wines to try- the menu has around 20 different wines!!! Good thing they have cheap flights at $1 - $1.50 per tasting. And for 6 tastings, you can take your glass home too! I have tried almost all their wines and my favorite so far has been their Blackberry wine. Overall, this is a chill place to hang out with friends and savor some tasty wine! This place is adorable and has some delicious wine. If you like sweet, fruity wine (think jam that will give you a buzz), you will think you've died and gone to heaven when you try Berry Monster and Blackberry. They also have many other wines for other palates like the wonderful Traminette. The menu is limited to appetizers, but Bentino's Pizza in Yellow Springs is happy to deliver, and the ownership keeps menus handy so you can have a full dinner while you sit on the patio, listen to a band, and enjoy your wine. read more
