Stopped in to try their new Rum. Very unique using black strap molassis and aged in a bourbon barrel. We also got an early sample of their 1st 4 yr old bottle in bond bourbon! It is exciting to see them grow. Staff is always friendly. Space is fun and inviting. Really enjoyed stopping by. They had music outside and a food truck on site. The tasting was $14 for everything and you get to keep the glass. They were helpful with explanations and were able to fill in holes on the list. The bourbons were good along with the moonshine and vodka. Definitely worth a stop!! read more

I came here with a small group of people, and we got to enjoy having the entire place to ourselves since we were the only customers there on a cold winter day. We did a tasting of the whiskeys and moonshines at the bar and then did a tour of the distillery. Our bartender was great. She was very knowledgeable on the liquors and gave good recommendations on which ones to try. I liked the fruit flavored moonshines, but the stranger flavors, like pickle and candy cane, were not for me. However, it was fun to taste all the different flavors. The tour was very informative, and we learned about the distillery and distilling process and got to try some more liquor. Aside from liquor, there is also a gift shop with locally made items, and I got a small bottle of spicy honey. If you like liquor - especially flavored ones - and local vibes, Devil's Due Distillery is the place to go. read more

Service and ambiance was exceptional. Dogs were allowed to visit and we got some special treatment by the distiller.

Candy cane was amazing flavor but a bit on the sweet side for me. In small amounts its great for sipping but even better infused with other drinks such as hot chocolate. I would buy it again because its seasonal. read more

Amazing experience. My husband and I went three days in a row and cannot wait to come back we highly recommend visiting.

As you go through the rolling hills of West Virginia, you will see signs in the grass for this 3-month-old distillery. It's a beautiful and thoughtfully constructed facility and it's well worth a visit whether or not you also visit the local casino and wineries. Two percent of every aging barrel of spirits evaporates due to the porosity of the barrel. That's called the Angels' Share. The owners of this distillery joke that if the angels get their share, then the Devil must also get his Due! LOL The industrial park exterior belies the cozy tasting room within. We were greeted warmly by the two front of house representatives. We purchased tastings at a very reasonable $12 each, including a souvenir glass etched with the distillery's logo. The bartender happened to be the nephew of the owner, who came in shortly after our arrival. They offered us a tour and shared top-notch knowledge of the distillation process and the extra steps that they take to create innovative and high-quality vodka, rye, bourbon, and whiskey. Their small batches are crafted with care and, by turns, have flavors of pepper, caramel, maple, apple, and more. The distillery is spotless and built sustainably from local trees. Local corn/grains are sourced for their mash and I appreciated their awareness of sustainability. The delicious flavor of their Maple Whiskey transported me to Montreal where I sampled fresh maple syrup drizzled over snow. I bought a bottle of it to enjoy at home. I always get a text when new flavors drop. Had the tour and was amazed how much they were making in a small building.

My wife and I went in to check them out. Not knowing what to expect. The girl asked if we were there for a tasting. So we said yeah why not. The first thing I saw when we walked in was a giant poodle dog. I said what's up dog? And petted the dog right away. Then we found a place at the bar for our tasting. There were 6 or 8 people there. Including the dog owners. While we were tasting. I noticed a little dog behind the bar. He was a cool looking little dog. Named Nash. My wife found a sticker for sale that said pet dogs and drink bourbon. Then I knew it I was in the right place. I liked all of the regular flavors. Vodka , bourbon and rye whiskey . I'm not a fan of sweet flavored alcohol. But that's my preference. The staff was friendly. The dogs were cool the atmosphere was cool. I really had a good time. And everyone seemed to be having a great time. The prices were comparable to any other distillery price you'll find. It was a great time. And I'll be back. We came here for a quick tasting and had great service! The spot is small but intimate, you get world class service during the tasting. You can do a larger tasting of all the whiskeys/vodka and then the moonshines plus a glass for around $10 and a mini tasting for free. We also got a tour of the back with really thorough explanations of the whole process. Bathrooms were plentiful, theres a lot of great local shopping (soaps, candles, artwork) for sale too. read more

We had a great visit here today. Great product, very pleasant staff, and DOG FRIENDLY!! Be sure to check out Mash, an extremely well trained 8 month old pup who has the run of the place. Being a long time resident of JeffCo WV, I was overdue for my first trip out to Devil's Due Distillery in Kearneysville. I found a truly impressive example of a vibrant, locally grown business, well networked with the critical grain and fruit producers from around our area. The just 3-year old facility is so rapidly filling with white oak aging barrels, fermentation tanks and stills, that plans are underway for an expansion to an additional warehouse. Our small group had the great fortune of a short personalized tour by owner-distiller Wylie McDade. He certainly knows the drill! Currently on offer is a range of excellent, younger end bourbon and rye whiskies, along with vodka and flavored liquors such as Apple Pie, Blackberry, Candy Cane and Pickle (a crowd pleaser). Older aged bourbons will come to market as the distillery matures. Product is already on the shelves in WV, MD, DC, NC with VA pending soon. Rumor has it that Shepherdstown Liquors has a special edition bourbon sold only there. The retail side includes an immaculately kept showroom with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. And plenty of very creative DDD merch. A full flight of 8-10 samples is on offer at their bar for $12. Access is easy off Rte 9, plenty of parking and you'll surely be welcomed straightaway. read more
