    Mixed tasting

We had a lovely time at this winery. Outside food is allowed outdoors, so we brought our favorite Trader Joe's picnic and ate on the tables outside. They had live music in the afternoon and started up the fire pits. I did a tasting where they allowed me to change the wine options to match my preferences. They also gave my husband small samples of the wines he was interested in before choosing his bottle for purchase. The bottles were reasonably priced for the area. The vibe wasn't Quiiiite what we were looking for, with not as spectacular views as some other wineries in the area and a bit of an older crowd. However, they clearly had regulars whose names the staff knew, so clearly, a very welcoming place that people enjoy coming to. Definitely place I want to bring my mom to enjoy! Overall, my favorites were the Vidal blanc, Meritage, and Merlot. Husband's favorites were Vidal Blanc, Meritage, Merlot, and Tannat.

Fabulous...great wine and atmosphere. The tour was very informative and interesting. The catering was delicious and everyone had compliments! Would definitely recommend!

This was one of the other vineyards we stopped at, and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was on the money. The staff was attentive and we did a wine flight, which was very nice selection offered . We decided to get a snack and we got the pepperoni flatbed pizza, which was awesome . We made friends with a small little dog that a couple sitting next to us brought so I would assume if you have a dog that is well behaved unlike ours they would be more than welcome there. Plenty of outdoor seating and from what I recall, they did have inside seating as well in the decorations made you feel welcomed and at home . Make sure to add this to your list if you're doing a wine tour, you will not be disappointed .

My husband and I recently visited 868 on a late Saturday afternoon. I happened to see on FB that they have trivia on Saturday nights 6-8p. You can register ahead online; unfortunately, I learned of trivia on Sat AM and online registration was closed with the instructions to call the Tasting Room to see if they still had space. I called several times and even left a voicemail, but noone ever answered. We decided to just drive there (we planned to go wine tasting regardless) and ask. They were super crowded but the line to get a flight went quick. They were super friendly and said that while trivia was full, since we were a team of 2 they'd squeeze us in! Since you can only get glasses and bottles at trivia, we decided to do a white flight before trivia. We took our flight outside and enjoyed at a picnic table. The outdoor space is huge and family friendly - we saw people playing cornhole and a 1st birthday party. Our favorite wine was the Vidal Blanc, but all were among the best we've had in Nova. While the tasting experience wasn't intimate, 868 was enjoyable and I'd return with friends for an afternoon hangout. Trivia was awesome. One of my husband and my's favorite pre-kid/pre-Covid activities was trivia night at Dogfish in Falls Church and we've tried a few trivia nights since and have been disappointed. The host was chill and moved questions along quickly, good crowd, fair questions that were a mix of academic and pop culture and just hard enough. We got 4th place and had the best date night! We'll definitely return for trivia when the kids visit grandma again:). We ordered a pretzel that came with mustard and cheese that was hot, buttery, and hit the spot. My only complaint is that it was pretty expensive overall (partially due to our poor planning - in retrospect we should've ordered a bottle). We paid $90 for 4 glasses and a pretzel. We both agreed that the sparkling was our favorite (I've sampled a LOT of sparkling wines and it's a remarkable one).

Great wine, laid back atmosphere. The food is pretty good (so far only tried the giant pretzel and brie w/ baguette), but we usually bring our own if we're there for the day. Some weekends they have live music which is always awesome. The owners and staff are awesome. This is not a fancy winery, but one you can come unwind in the country under the trees with mountain views and sip on good wine. Also, as a member, you get a free glass every visit along with a free glass for a guest. In the fall, they have firepits outside. This is my go to winery. Also, lots of great events for members. I prefer this one over the others in the area because it's laid back and most importantly, the wine is GOOD.

Great vibes here. Beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the day and wine tasting. Had live music going. Wines were great and had food options. We got the pizza and it was pretty tasty. Wine slushie was very refreshing on a warm summer day. The only issue is the cost was higher than a lot of other wineries I've been to.

    Truffle Flight

I loved this vineyard. The service was amazing. The manager was so sweet. The ambiance is cute. I also actually really enjoyed the wine flights. At first glance I thought the truffle flight was expensive for a small box of chocolate BUT I really enjoyed the chocolate and the wine so I would recommend. I also tried the sweet flight which was equally as good for a great price.

Wine good but the nachos had too much salsa and the pork didn't seem cooked. Otherwise great ambience and service. Please change the menu or chef.

Still great with better and better wines every year ! Still love the reds, but the whites are great also.

Really lovely venue, friendly staff, and delicious wine! We did a great tour and enjoyed the tasting. The owner and staff were also super accommodating for our group during a busy day, so we appreciate they went above and beyond.

Very pretty winery!! Delicious wine. Had the sweet wine flight 10/10 recommend. Has a variety of different flights to choose from so it's good for all different flavors.

    Mary A.

Friendly staff, wines were ok but we didn't love them enough to buy a bottle. Farm like setting that was charming. No big vista views. I liked that the flights were with glass rather than plastic cups.

    Yej S.

Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. A lot of seating options and bathroom, even the porta potties, were very clean. Wine were also good, a lot of flight options which made it fun. Only issue I had was with food. Kind of pricy for mediocre food, but you are allowed to bring your own food which I advise and just drink their wine. My favorite was the dessert wine.

The grounds around the tasting room are beautiful and very walkable.

There are the usual wine and beer flights if you're unsure, like me. You go up to the bar inside and open a tab, and start ordering. The food pick up is at the attached building right by the entrance to the bigger building. There are plenty of parking spaces, so you won't struggle with that. The pizzas and pretzels we ordered were not memorable in any way. Will I come again? I might probably try a new winery. Take this review with some salt, though. I'm not a wine person. The pizzas are absolutely delicious! Good options for both carnivores and herbivores. The outdoor seating appears to be ample. The weather was cold and windy today, so we opted to sit inside. We normally prefer to sit outside. There are solo stoves out for a warm fire. The view is amazing! Very beautiful. Service is good. Not as friendly as I am used to. We walked it. Looked around and the staff kind of ignored us. It was clear we weren't sure of where we were going. They noticed us and did not say hello. But once we ordered, they seemed to loosen up. The music here is also pretty outstanding. Chill, indie vibe.
