Five years later and we made it back. I still love this place for its unassuming charm and fun weekly flavors. What made me instantly need to visit was the "chocomint" flavor that is so good. Great ice cream. I had the coffee/ chocolate twist and the coffee ice cream tasted like coffee! I find that many don't. They sell many other savory delights. Salt potatoes and hot buttered corn are two of the more uncommon items. I would go back to try more of the special flavors of ice cream. read more

I got a small soft ice cream cone twist of chocolate and vanilla dipped in peanut butter. And to be honest I wasn't that impressed. The ice cream was okay but the peanut butter I was disappointed in. The soft serve is a must! Perfect treat for a hot sunny day. The soft serve is thick and creamy, no icy thin soft serve here! The vanilla is perfection. Can't go wrong with their soft ice cream! The chocolate coffee twist is a favorite of mine, as well as the pistachio. They seem to always have coffee soft serve in addition to the standard chocolate/vanilla and then the weekly flavor. They can stack any flavors too! Tonight we got dinner there: cheeseburger, greeker dogs (hot dogs with meat sauce, onions, and mustard), onion rings, salt potatoes, and their special fried green tomato burger. Everything was great! And only $26! The food took a little while to come out but we weren't in a rush. We'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner sometime. read more

I can't believe we have waited three years to come here. Although they only take cash, their ice cream is amazing!!! I got their flavor of the month- peach. The vanilla-peach swirl cone made this chocoholic question her tastebuds. And this picture features a medium cone- the sizes are definitely generous. My husband got a chocolate shake and wanted me to note that it was delicious; just the right consistency and not at all "plain" chocolate. High-praise from the shake-drinker. The ice cream here was pretty good but the portion sizes lag behind other ice cream stands in the area. I ordered a medium ice cream with caramel and whipped cream and the size of it was the equivalent to a small at Guptill's, Pirate's, or Country Drive In. Haven't been here in 10 years since leaving the area. When we did live here this was our favorite place. Stopped in today as we were in the area and Pistachio was the flavor listed on the sign. Once we pulled in a nice young gentleman came out to the car to take our order. I asked if I could get a Pistachio Chocolate twist and he said no but we can stack them. They also let me know that the cones come in cups so they don't have to touch them. The ice cream was just as delicious as I remember it. Great service, cash only highly recommend. This place is great! The service is friendly, courteous, and very service oriented. I honestly would expect a possible slight wait for their products and food stuffs.... Just moved to the area, and with summer finally upon us, was elated to see a little mom-and-pop ice cream shop on my commute! The weekly flavors are definitely a draw (this week is maple cream, and it is AMAZING), and I found out they always have soft serve coffee ice cream, so I'm a fan for life.
