There's very little shade and no water stations so bring your own water. There is a short walk to the park from the parking lot. It is next to a well traveled neighborhood road so keep your dogs leashed to and from park. I like to take my dogs here occasionally to mix things up.

There's not a whole lot of grass except on the back half a few activities for the dogs and generally well-maintained with a lost and found, and a few logs for the dogs to jump on. I found it unusual the variety of reviews that others have left. It's a big open dog park and it's very sandy and there's not a lot of shade but sufficient for getting some exercise on the dogs if they're willing to play, I was here at 5 o'clock on a weekday and there were only two dogs in the place. And the Yelp directions take you to the high school. You need to go a bit further on the other side to get to the actual dog park. I found it easier to just follow directions from maps rather than following yelp directions which takes you to the back of the high school.

I go right before closing so I avoid the drama and whispers about my reactive dog. We keep our distance and to ourselves until someone invades our personal space. He's reactive due to being attacked by other dogs so much that now he asserts himself. Bring water. Don't rely on others to supply your dog esp on hot days. My dog used to get eye infections each time we went. You're basically walking on a liter box. So I recommend taking a separate set of shoes and placing them in a plastic bag when you return to your vehicle. Bring dog bags unless you want to do the walk of shame across the park to get the scoop.

It outside of Denver not sure exactly time cause here only for race weekend. We decided to meet up with trail running group one day. Only Emily ran with the group while Ashley and I exploring walk. Base before start nice they have map of different trail routes, free pamphlet exact routes, and nice warnings for bears. Thankfully not cross one. lol. We started with the group cause different loops some intersect but most start base loop. Some parts single track but most part all pretty wide. I love taken care of see pine tree fell over they cut it down clear the path. There even few bench saw chill and soak up nature. Busy trail runners, walkers, bikers, and groups. Our neighbors have been telling us about this place for about 6 months and how amazing (and…read morereasonably priced) the training program is here. We finally buckled down and called to set up a consultation. To be honest- before going in, we were skeptical thinking they would try to sell us a bunch of things, unnecessary or not applicable classes in order just to make money...but it was nothing like this! Tim was A-MAZING! Cannot say enough great things about this trainer! He is a straight shooter and tells it like it is, and I like that. We are coming there to get our dog under control not have a tea party....so this is wonderful that he is knowledgeable and sees exactly what needs to be done. He told us the types of collars and leashes to buy for our pups, and what type of classes we would benefit most from! I even admitted in the consultation that "I need some training" and Tim agreed that most owners do. I liked this! So, we have our first class this upcoming Friday, ordered the leashes and collars through Chewy, and we are good to go! Excited, hopeful, and SOOOO grateful for this facility and Tim!

Lots of slides, two "baby" swings, two regular swings, some bouncy horses, a huge play structure to climb, music station -- lots of opportunity for fun and creativity here! I also noticed there are many sites that mention disc golf in association with this park -- I can see that there would be a good amount of space for that as there are many grassy areas. I didn't see any disc golfers there when I was with my little one though! There is a lot of grass, well-maintained, as well as many cement paths to walk. This looks like a great spot to bring young ones, and it seems that the community makes sure it's well taken care of as well. A fun park!!

It is not overly big but there are a couple of water stations and trash cans with poop bags. My dogs don't really play or run much here. Important things: Always watch your dog and know where they are at all times! Always pick up your dogs poop! There is a smaller parking lot across the street from park with a short walk to park. Always keep your dog leashed walking to and from park. Redstone park is extremely busy especially in the summer, the parking lot is small and very busy.

If you want to walk, you can follow the packed sand circling the edge. It does get hot here but the canopies make it doable. There is also water and doggie bags with garbage containers.
