Great and welcoming staff very attentive to their patients. Very respectful and strive to provide the best quality care.

This facility has a new Administrator and all new staff, and you can really see the difference. Not only in the facility itself, but in patient care, the staff seem happier and smile in the hallways, and it is just an all around more positive environment. The facility is clean and doesn't smell like a typical SNF. You see the housekeeping department constantly cleaning and making sure things are in order. Maintenance does a great job is maintaining the rooms and replacing things that need to be replaced. The kitchen staff is prompt in food requests from the residents. You will not regret sending your loved one here. The reviews from a year or more ago reflect exactly what the old staff used to stand for. This place is the worst I have ever seen. My friend is there now and hates the staff and all. The nurses do not take proper care of her, she has a level four pressure sore and they do not even turn her. She only gets a sponge bath once a week and they don't even wash her hair. The food sucks and half the time it's cold. She is on different med and the nurses don't give it to her on a regular bases. How does this place even stay open? She has a catheter and it is hardly changed, plus been in her two months now. The nurses do not even get her up to try and walk. So if you want a place to rehab in do not go to this place. Even her Doctor does not recommend this place, so what does that tell you? read more

This place is horrible. I'm so glad I was finally able to get my mother out of there. The lack of communication is horrendous and the level of care. They tell you there is a doctor taking care of patients/giving orders.... but yet the entire time my mother was there she never once spoke or met this "doctor". The appearance also of the building and the view are quite depressing for patients, especially looking out to dead plants and a wall all day. Your clothing will get lost/stolen here so I strongly suggest you don't send anything of value. If you care about your loved ones find them a more caring facility. read more

Yikes! What a crappy "care center". Yeah the floors are polished but this place is a dump, staff is lackadaisical and the neighborhood is in a downward tailspin. Pretty sure I saw hookers and sketchy druggy types in the one block radius. Also notice the plywood boarded windows on the apartment building across the street. Looks like an attractive nuisance for criminals. Our patient was there for three days and we pulled him out. Sent him back to the hospital and like magic, he's thriving. Devonshire couldn't or wouldn't do the simple things like keep him hydrated and apply clean bandages. There must be absent leadership or management. Will never go back to this place. It has a 1 star rating on other consumer sites too. If you are mildly ill, you'll likely be ok but if you are an acute case - look elsewhere. After reading the other reviews I have to wonder why this place is still operating? Can we call Medicare or the great State of CA to review this hell hole? Why are these operators not being sanctioned? read more

Received great care for my grandma. They used minimal medications and took a vested interests in her recovery. Compassionate staff with in depth knowledge of the medical field. Michelle, Christina, Mickey and Johanna were amazing!!! read more

I was a resident here for approx. 2 weeks. All of the staff, especially Grace are very kind and helpful. Grace was simply AWESOME! The activity coordinator Chris always put a smile on each resident's face. I was getting my meds almost like clock work. Unfortunately I could not eat regular food. I was being tube fed. The facility was going through remodel improvements when I was there. They waxed the floors consistently and maintained a clean and well organized facility. The Physical therapists were great and helped push to get me better and stronger. There is not enough that I can say about them helping me get stronger and healthier quicker than I would have ever expected. I know that there are a lot of negative comments towards this location but all I can say is that this facility is not the same as what is being said before. The boarded building in front of the center is due to the city of hemet. They would not allow an expansion to open a second facility. The only reason that I did not make it a 5 star rating is because they send me home without all my meds and making me have to return to the facility to get my meds. A mistake but something that I know they have since cleared and cleaned up. Either way, Devonshire now called GENESiS is a great facility that I will indeed recommend to those who need rehabilition. read more

okay I did a different channel for 2 years I've had nothing but good luck with the all the CNAs and all of the nurses they've been so good to me they treated me like a dad or an uncle or whatever the state has been excellent for me I tell you I really don't want to leave because they've been so good to me I got I got two Maria's morning and night on the med card and they just know me like a book and they know when to bring my dad and they just take such good care of me and then even the even the lady that works in all the people that work in laundry or lemonade anything that's ithey all take such good care of me actually I don't know what I'm going to do when I leave I'll be lost with every without them daddy in the kitchen she works really good with me on the food takes good care of me I just don't know what to do with it's been such a good stay someone posted another one in my name and it's not right saying things this is actually me this is Larry Taylor and this is my statement and I want to thank you very much read more

This place should be condemned. My friend was staying here just to recover enough to have major surgery on her back and while in their care, contracted an infection in her spine. Had to put off surgery for over a year, was lucky to survive the experience. Every time I went to see her I noticed how the complete lack of care and effort that was given by the nurses. They were rude and mean towards patients. The last day she was there her roommate died from complications from recovering from triple bypass surgery. She died because she was severely neglected when she needed care the most. This occurred about 5-6 years ago and since then we have contemplated a massive lawsuit against them. It's coming soon. This place should be shut down and the doctors brought up on charges. Along with the owners and nurses! Never bring someone here. Not even your worse enemy! It's a death sentence. We were very lucky to get her out alive. read more

In 2010 we were looking for a temporary place for my Father. After touring five different facilities, Devonshire was our first pick but they didn't have any vacancies at that time. Mom stayed at Devonshire in 2011 for a couple of weeks after surgery. This time, she was there for two weeks after a bad fall, leaving her with and enormous lump on her forehead and horrendous bruising of her entire face. When the hospital would not keep Mom even overnight for observation, the hospital social worker arranged for her to go to Devonshire so she would be monitored by medical personnel. A great relief for me. I can't say enough about how well the staff took care of her. ALL, and I mean ALL, of the nurses, aides, therapists, everyone, even cleaning staff, we so friendly and helpful. She got her meds and meals on time, they helped her shower, they even helped her with the phone (I called her numerous times every day, even though I was there almost every day). Our only problem was her diet. This is the reason I didn't give five stars. Mom has dietary restrictions because of diverticulosis and some of her meds. The nurses kept reminding the dietician/ kitchen, but they kept forgetting and giving Mom things she can't eat. The nurses went above and beyond trying to get the food problems sorted out. I know it's a huge job, feeding so many patients, probably with lots of different dietary needs, but I was concerned about taking her home and ending up in the hospital again because she was giving something she shouldn't have had. I wouldn't hesitate placing Mom her again if she needed short term care. This is a great facility, well run by management, and staffed by the most caring people. read more

DCC does everything they can to help their patients. I had a family member here who had an aneurysm and was unable to care for himself. The staff at DCC helped with his hygiene, physical therapy, and speech therapy. They even took the time to help our family understand how to take better care of him. I could not believe how helpful Jennifer was. She provided him clothing from donations, extra toiletries, and helped us find other community resources. She also helped find placement with him within his budget! read more

This rehab was recommended for my mother to strengthen her 90 year old back by a dr from Hemet Hospital. This was our first experience with rehabs. I assumed they would work with her and strengthen her back. Not so much. It was more of a babysitting service where she got physical therapy for an hour once a day, none on Sunday. She got more exercise at her house than there. I asked repeatedly for her to be able to use her walker, but they didn't want to risk her falling and the liability. Two weeks later I got her home and her muscles had deteriorated so much, she was unable to live alone anymore. She went on hospice and died 9 days later. Do I blame them? Well, they sure didn't help my mom like I was told they would. Many of the staff there really love the patients and try hard - but their procedures need to be about building muscle strength and not just filling beds. I loved the CNA Maribell, RN Manal, Arnold (or Ronald), and Connie (p/t). On the down side RN Christine was very uncaring and unhelpful - just there to do a job. I hope this review helps someone. My father was there for about 3 weeks. Most of The staff was friendly but I did witness a nurse yell at a patient and use profanity towards the patient. Anyway about my dad, He was supposed to have physical to get to walking again. They called me and told me he had peaked and they could do no more for him. I don't believe that they helped him walk at all. When I was there a few time he was supposedly having PT but they had him in a wheel chair sitting in the hall or in his room. As a result, he cannot walk as well as he could before he went in. I have to lift and basically drag him from point A to point B. I would not recommend this place I gave it two stars only because his nurses were nice to him from what I saw when I was there. read more

I been in this care center twice now. Both times I had had sub care. Did not get my meds on time. Would tell me they would contact my doctor and the doctor was not contacted. Did not understand the meds I needed sometime would be two weeks before I got them given correct. Need more CNA per room coverage. Some time had to wait 1 to 2 hour before you would get your call answered. CNAS work hard and very nice. I was in in Feb then April and had a lot of changes with CNAS leaving. Also while in last time for 5 weeks many left even then. If you need good care and want them to help you get better. Good Luck. Only reason I was in twice was could not get a bed from any other center. read more

Have had issues with my Dad's care years ago - neglect and sleeping in his own urine soaked bed, developed skin issues/rash. Had him removed from this place. Now my mother had issues after being sent there for rehab treatment (sister didn't know it was the same place we had issues with Dad) - this place is terrible. Should be closed down. Do not trust them with your parents/loved ones. read more

I see the other reviews which I find very surprising.my father was just in who has dementia with a broken hip and the care he received was EXCEPTIONAL!!! taking are of people with dementia is very challenging and they did it well with love and compassion. The rehab team was wonderful as well. He got physical and occupational therapy everyday with the same person until that person had a day off which truly helped my father build a relationship with and help his dementia. I saw the rehab team and nursing team work well together. They all were took good quality care of my dad and now he is all healed with his hip and walking. The place was clean and we'll maintained. Staff was friendly and so willing to help at any given time. I would have my father come back if needed or recommend this center to anyone. read more

Seeing all the negative reviews almost kept me from bringing my grandma here, but I'm so glad I took a chance because the staff are so nice and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. its not easy to leave your loved ones in someone else's care, but they really made me feel at ease. when it was time to leave, the discharge was very organized and easy. the nurses and mainly the CNAs work so hard, I don't think their work is praised enough and I could not do their job. thank you to everyone who was part of my grandmas recovery process. read more

My mother had a knee replacement years ago that went sour and she had to have an emergency surgery and another knee replacement recently. She was transferred here for rehab and recovery due to the severity of the wound. Except for one small glitch on transfer, she has had excellent care. Staff has been very attentive and polite. The rooms are swept and mopped daily, and every time Mom has asked for help, staff has been on it almost immediately. Bathrooms are kept clean and stocked. Any minor maintenance issues - broken soap dispenser in restroom and a broken string on overhead light-have been handled quickly and cheerfully by maintenance staff. The food is somewhat bland she says, but edible and nutritious. She receives medications on time. Every time I have visited her, she is consistently happy with her treatment, and staff is always friendly and helpful to my family members and myself. All in all, highly recommended. read more

I pulled my husband out of Devonshire on 8/27/12 because he got little to no care. He was recovering from complete knee replacement in his right knee. He never received any assistance with cleanliness except what I gave him on my daily visits. He was to be transported to a post op doctors appointment with an attendant. There was no attendant sent with him skilled or otherwise, only the transport driver. My husband arrived in the clothing he had been in the day before; he had slept in this clothing and it was soiled and soaked in urine. He also arrived with an infection in his surgical knee which had never been treated while in the care of Devonshire. His only physical therapy was one daily short walk in a walker with an attendant, no other physical therapy was given until after the surgeons appointment. I had to bring him meals because the food was unrecognizable and of no nutrition value. On 8/27/12 the doctor ordered antibiotics to be given and Devonshire did not have any at their facility. read more

The only reason they are getting 1 star is because of Ernie in housekeeping, he at least tried. My mother in law was sent here by Rancho springs without our knowledge. We got her of of there immediately. There was dried blood on the shade next to her bed, the place was filthy! It was 81 degrees in the hallway where they have these make shift air conditioning units running. Her room was at least 85. Ernie brought her a fan which helped. The food the brought her was unrecognizable. One patient barely dressed with her underwear falling down was going around the hallway in her wheelchair by the staff and nobody did anything until I said something. Plan and simple, this care center put my dad back in the hospital, he keeper trying to get water to drink and if they did answer it was a cup of thinkened water, we told them he was drinking regular water at hospital and would not change it, even after we asked them to check with hospital. They told us his urine looked bad, we asked for test, they said "if we asked the dr for test, he is just going to send him to hospital", we said fine......nothing happened, until blood pressure drop. Hospital tested and shock of all shock, he was dehydration, RE-admitted and he is alert and talking after ONE day!!!! This place is a joke...dad was there in a room, with another patient, because they had the Cdif infection and was suppose to be isolated, at least 3 other patients wondered into his room, one tried to get in same bed. They hardly even answer the call light (dad couldn't talk, our walk, so fairly important) and when they did, it took forever to get what he wanted. Many of the nurse's were argumentive, or rude. May dad is back in hospital and will not go back to this one and if case worker says he must, we will be filing a restraint. Last thing, I had to give this a one star, it deserves ZERO stars!!! read more

I had to 911 my mom out of there because she couldn't breath!! When I went to visit my mom earlier this evening, she was hypoxic, confused and having difficulty breathing!! She was so short of breath, she couldn't even speak! She was so tired from breathing so hard, I was concerned and asked her nurse to send her to the ER immediately because she needed higher level of care. When I told the RN on duty, her response was that her breathing was "normal". I was shocked!! I told her that there is no reason she should be out of breath laying in bed at 8:30 PM, not to mention the fact that she was using every muscle she had just to breath!! Again she tried to reassure me that, "her breathing was normal, and that this is how I've been seeing her breath since she's been here"!!! I requested to have her vital signs done....what a shocker....elevated BP, and her oxygen was in the 80's on 2 liters of oxygen!! Wow....pretty scary that an RN couldn't recognize someone in distress and needing higher level of care....even possible intubation!! Her oxygen levels were so low, I had to increased her oxygen myself!! After the medics got there, they took her right away to the ER and they placed her on BI-Pap to assist her breathing, started an IV and gave her medication to help her. After getting to the ER, they stabilized her, and she was later admitted to ICU!! Unbelievable!! Thank God I went to visit her tonight!! FYI management: Re-educate your nurses on basic recognition of patient distress and what abnormal vital signs are.....CPR too....they may have to use it some day. Never allowing my mom to go back to this place!!! read more
