Let us be honest about what DeVry is and is not. DeVry is a fine school if you want to fiddle with some electronics, electronic test equipment, and want a "degree" to attach to your resume. DeVry is not a school that is going to get you some awesome job that allows you to greatly succeed in life. Let me explain. Out of everyone that graduated with me most people went into the semiconductor field as maintenance technicians of some sort. We use little to no skills obtained at DeVry and the kicker is that you don't even need a degree to be a maintenance technician at a semiconductor plant. This is exemplified by everyone you work with having no college degree... or a degree from DeVry. So if that is the case, then why in the world would you go to DeVry and rack up a $50k tuition bill? To make matters worse, DeVry touts themselves as a legitimate university with legitimate degrees. In the real world many businesses don't consider degrees from DeVry (at least the BSEET degree I have) to be a legitimate engineering degree. Furthermore, graduate programs don't consider it a legitimate degree either. For one to carry on to a MSEE at ASU, one will have to step back and take remedial classes to prove that you are at a caliber even worthy of entering a legitimate college program at a legitimate college. Sure, DeVry is accredited, but accreditation is entirely different than legitimacy. This is my suggestion... if you have any inkling that you might want to continue your education, go to ASU and see if they will directly accept the DeVry degree without making you take remedial classes. If they don't then DeVry might be a valid choice. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and just go to a school like ASU. I wish that I had transferred to ASU in my junior year after I found out that the business community didn't view my degree as legitimate as other schools. EDIT: I used ASU's transfer credit guide (https://webapp4.asu.edu/transfercreditguide/app/home?init=false&nopassive=true) and looked up what transferred from DeVry and here are the results by semester. I've been going here for over a year now and I'm kind of torn on the quality of service you get from the campus and staff. The classes have been ok so far, but don't waste your time taking a math class on campus. Being stuck in a room with 5 other math classes and then having to just sit at a computer and do the same work you get to do at home is a bunch of crap if you ask me. When I first said I was interested in coming here I couldn't get the school to stop calling me. Now that I'm enrolled it's like pulling teeth for anyone to ever call you back if you call with an issue. It takes a minimum of at least 3 or 4 days to get a response to any message left and that's IF they call you back at all. Some of the requirements in the classes are completely ridiculous and completely archaic. When will schools realize it's not 1950 anymore and the need for certain "core" classes is just not needed anymore. I'm in this for the long haul so I'm pretty much stuck. DeVry transformed my life. I moved to Phx to attend DeVry for the opportunity to quickly graduate with a bachelors degree. Going to Devry is not easy nor for everyone. It was great for me. I was very successful there and graduated top in my class. Yes a lot of people did not make it through but most of those people should have never been going to college after all. Following graduation I got a job at Lockheed Martin, changing my life forever. I still stay in contact with some of my professors. They are all very much focused on the success of those students. I think Devry takes advantage of the little guy. There is no reason on Earth that it should cost $500 a credit hour. You may as well go to Yale or ASU. Not to mention people really don't look at this school as a very reputable education. I had the worst experience with this school and it makes me sick that they charge so much money for an education that is not even recognized as much as if you went to a real college. Faculty needs to listen to students and DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO. I moved to phoenix and started school out here and specifically explained if I wast a full time student i wouldn't be able to attend due to financial reasons, it was either work or school for me. They said no problem 3 weeks goes by classes start and still I only have one class and can't receive my full BAH. When I call to ask who scheduled this class. They have no idea who scheduled it and can't add in a second class. Due to this I couldn't keep up with the class and had to withdraw and now I have to pay that money back to the Veterans Affairs making my financial situation worse. This happened to me twice at the San Diego campus. DON'T let the faculty make promises they cant keep. I've been a student there for two years and it seems the only time devry cared about you is when they needed money and to register you for all the wrong classes. Their are many veterans like me that are dealing with this school and feel stuck. As an online student, Devry has never failed to constantly remind me that I should regret I ever enrolled in their school. I'm writing this review as a former student. I say former because I transferred schools. I'll start from the beginning. When I first admitted there and started classes everything was wonderful. They all seemed to care and the success coaches and finance coaches are wonderful. After a year though, that seemed to change. The teachers are very rude and seem very stuck up. I only had three good teachers out of 7 or 8. Most of all, this past year I had plenty of health problems and always stayed in contact with my teachers and my success coach. However, regardless of all of the paperwork I turned in and how much I cooperated, it didn't mean a lick because my dean told me to go somewhere else. So here I am now, transferred to GCU and I would NEVER go back to DeVry again. read more

I pursued my Bachelors degree at DeVry- Phoenix at age 40. I was told "Well you have the skills, all you need is the degree to go with them". So I attended DeVry on campus and online, learned a lot I will say. I finished in April 2017 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and graduated in 2018. In pursuing jobs in this field I am finding out I don't have the right skills apparently and my degree means nothing. People don't be fooled; Pursue a degree in a field you have skills in or your Degree is worthless. I am now $70,000 in debt and only making $16/hour using my skills I had before I got my degree. A degree only separates you from the masses its your skills that matters. I am very disappointed, in debt, and not very happy. read more

Attended DeVry and received my Bachelor's in Accounting. Moved from being an Admin Assistant to a Business Manager within a month. Great education and attended Keller Graduate School of Management for my M.B.A. The job opportunities keep coming. Highly recommend the school. read more

I completed my bachelor's degree in August 2018, and I have begun my MBA at the DeVry University Campus. The building is always clean, sanitized, and fresh as Dave and Mike are amazing! Additionally, the best part of the school is the professors. They are all incredibly knowledgeable in their field and extremely personable. In all subjects there is always support staff to help understand and learn. Failing isn't an option at DeVry because everyone looks out for you. Thank you Professor Schreiber for helping me through math, Professor Marmorstein for getting me through Advanced Physics, Professor Davis/Gallaher for amazing skills at analyzing circuits, and Dr. Newman for expertise in semi-conductors!
