It has all the amenities that I care about: kitchen, towel service, and pool with access to the beach. Not to mention the lazy river pool and free parking. The downside of this place is they have a little bit of odor in the hallway. Maybe it's chlorine, seawater, or something that we couldn't really make up. There is also signs of water damage in the bathroom. Another downside is the lighting of each rooms. There's literally only one tiny light source that is not enough to light the whole room. It's sad for the room without windows.

If you're not worried about the condition your car leaves in, parking in their garage is certainly a risk you can take. The ceiling is also very low, so if you drive a large/lifted vehicle, you can forget it. Only one of the two available elevators was functional at the time of our stay, and it was a long wait to get up or down anywhere if you weren't keen on taking the stairs. The suite was relatively nice, but cheap furniture and mattresses made it feel more like a boujee Super 8 more than it does a resort hotel. Its beachfront location, direct boardwalk access to the beach, and evening beach floodlights, does make up for a lot of what this place is lacking. I did come here for the beach, after all. These qualities made that experience much more comfortably had and accessible.

The staff was very polite and courteous. I definitely recommend trying out their food while you are visiting the hotel and enjoying the poolside.

Since it was definitely post-season, we appreciated having fewer people around, making for a more relaxing stay. The weather was nice, although the water was a bit cold, but the view from the ocean-view villas was spectacular and truly beautiful. One thing I really liked was the on-site kitchen! It's a huge money-saver, especially for families. Even making one meal a day at home helps offset travel costs, and it was convenient to have that option. The hot tubs were a lifesaver since it was so cold outside, and they offered fun classes like s'mores for kids and aqua exercise classes, which added some extra entertainment. The gym was well-equipped, and the service overall was great. However, on our last day, the housekeeper knocked and entered immediately without giving us a moment to respond, that felt a bit unprofessional. Despite that, I still found the place and the area on that side of Myrtle Beach to be wonderful. If you're planning a trip, I'd definitely recommend visiting off-season for the best prices and a more peaceful experience!

Stayed for 6 nights…read more Let's start with the positives: Front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and check in was quick. The lobby smelled clean and coffee was available 24 hours a day. Room 213...room was relatively clean but smelled dank, not unexpected for a hotel near the beach that has constant humidity. Once the A/C was turned on and my standard to go candle was lit, the odor was not noticeable. The bathroom, bed linens, and carpet were all clean. The elevator was in working order. Nice, steaming hot water for the tub. Supplies were restocked generously (coffee, shampoo, etc.) On most days, the bagged breakfast was sitting on the counter and ready to go. Free onsite parking. A/C and heat worked perfect. Close by Cherry Grove Pier, Cresent Beach, and the main North MB pavilion. Not the hotel, but free off season parking at the beach. The negatives or where improvement can be made: The fridge had a to go container in it. There were 2 shoe strings between the fridge and TV stand. There was a lip gloss under the bathroom sink, up against the wall. The headboards had "a bit of gunk" and a few handprints on them. There was noticeable marijuana smell in the hallways. The view next door was of a golf cart repair shop; however, I did not expect much because this is not on or near the beach. Coming from the North to South, it's a bit of a weird turn off the street. The bathroom electrical outlet did not work. Overall, for around $60 a night, it was a good value and with a bit more attention to detail when cleaning it could step up a notch.

I know fam.... very annoying, but I promise when you check out you can leave the keys at the Wyndham side so you wont have to make 2 stops because you will receive another key on the Wyndham side for the amenities. Despite the check in Drama, the condo was fully loaded and totally was worth the money. The condo has a washer/dryer , a full kitchen, microwave, oven. 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a spa tub, and a great balcony with a bitchin view of the beach which is steps away. I did not visit the gym but there is one. The only amenities I used was the lazy river, pool, and jacuzzi. They also have a water slide and a seperate area for water play for the kids or for any of my fearless adults;) theres tons of food places within steps from the hotel, naturally mostly seafood since your on the beach. I highly recommend.

Negatives: 1) Not enough handicapped parking, 10 spaces total. That equals ONE space for every two floors of the hotel. 2) Could not get to and from pool to beach area. Gate were locked and blocked by large trash cans! 3) Safe took up entire closet in the master. Absolutely no where to put luggage. Nowhere to lay anything, TV filled the chest top. 4) Areas were tight, swivel chair in Livingroom could not swivel to face the ocean. Dining table held 6 chairs, one stuck out in the floor. 5) Only bathtubs, no shower in the unit. 6) Check-in was the worst!!! Having to go way down the road to the Prince Resort. 7) Was rushed when we arrived, given less than 5 minutes to unpack car... we're not allowed to keep car there to take luggage to room even though signs there allowed 15 or 20 minutes.

My biggest CON is being lied to about the pool being heated in the winter. I specifically spoke to the concierge because I was bringing my family for 2 nights for my birthday. The pool area is gorgeous directly adjacent to brewery, but obviously not ideal in December. I guess I was stupid for thinking a pool that large would be heated. It was freezing. The PERFUME SMELL in the lobby is incredibly overwhelming/nauseating/never ending. THE DUST on light fixtures above the coffee bar is disgusting. Even in the Black Drum brewery, for some reason no one cleans the air vents or light fixtures on the ceiling. See pictures for weird grey cloth "art" collecting dust above the bar. Blankets on beds are paper thin Obvious dirty furniture in rooms PROs decor is nice price was reasonable staff was very nice elevators are quick and smooth (20 floors) stair well is clean shuttle is cool. We went to Portofino which was fantastic. LOVE the actual metal utencils instead of plastic Great bar/bartenders Great breakfast with actual plates Black Drum and staff was wonderful Spanky's Pub is fantastic Lights for the Dec holidays and tree by the pool was beautiful Spa33 was nice. - Hate their single-use plastic cups in relaxation room.

Resort amenities are abundant and include direct beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, (small) lazy rivers, a fitness center, an arcade, and a fire pit. We made a relatively late reservation here for five nights when we learned that international guests would be visiting. There would be seven guests (all adults) for two nights, and only four of us for the other three nights. We used extra timeshare points (making it more expensive) in order to get a unit on an upper floor, hoping that the upper floor would give us the best ocean view. Unit. (3/5). Our unit in Tower 2 was spacious (especially when there were only 4 of us), and had everything that we needed and was clean. We especially appreciated the fully-stocked full kitchen with generous pantry space, having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the jacuzzi in the main bedroom (which we under-utilized!). The beds were comfortable, and had high quality linens. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the unit as our ocean view was limited (although you could see the ocean, beach, and one of the pools from our balcony). And, as the resort was built in 2002, and last renovated in 2011, it's now beginning to show its age -- with sofas and chairs that were no longer firm, some chips on furniture, and the musty smell that comes with high humidity. Amenities and Activities. (3.5/4). Tower 2 was convenient, and had many amenities that we utilized. It was home to the Lobby and Registration, had direct beach access, a lazy river, access to indoor and outdoor pools, game room/arcade, activities center, gift shop, and fire pit. As with our room, some of the amenities need upgrades. For instance, the hot tub was lukewarm at best, and the markings on the shuffleboard had eroded off. The resort also had a full calendar of "Resort Experiences", which included arts and crafts, shows, fitness classes, and more. HOWEVER, we were three days in before we even learned that there were resort activities, as we weren't given a schedule at check-in. For instance, we would've gone to the Sunday evening "Karaoke Welcome Party" at the fire pit, but we weren't aware. We DID enjoy the "Hula Fire Show" a few nights later. A few other random points. (1) Parking could be challenging if it's important to you to have parking close to your unit. If not, there's plentiful parking (and a free shuttle, which we didn't utilize) behind Tower 4. We were able to get parking in Tower 2 most evenings, except one evening when we got back late. (2) we were surprised that the concierge did have discount tickets to the shows in Myrtle Beach that we wanted to attend. (3) we would stay here again, but probably wouldn't pay extra again for a higher floor.

As a lifetime Titanium member, she was excited to tell us all about the room they gave us on the top floor. She offered us water bottles and a late checkout. She was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. When we got to the room, the views were awesome and with a corner room, we could see both the Ocean in front and the beach to the South. It was stunning. The bed was also so comfortable, it was the best sleep I had since we left home. We had a fun dinner that night at the Ocean on 82nd Restaurant with a delicious Grouper entree. Grouper is a South East Coast delicacy and I was not going to miss the chance to have it fresh. Even the fries were perfect. The next day, I had the full buffet with the custom omelet. As a Bonvoy Titanium member, I chose the breakfast coupon option at check in and with a minor $6 upcharge, I had the full buffet option. The omelet was excellent as were all the other accompaniments I chose from the buffet. I even got a cup of tea to go when I finished. Later the following day, my wife and I had lunch on the patio overlooking the Ocean at the Blue Bar. Great food and views. We were there for a destination wedding which went flawlessly from the Ocean view deck for the ceremony to the reception and buffet. I would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit.

1/2 - Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes…read more There are some places you stay, and then there are places that somehow manage to help you breathe a little deeper. Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes has become one of those places for us. The views are simply beautiful. We've stayed on both the 7th and 8th floors with an ocean-view balcony, and sitting out there in the morning or evening is about as cathartic as it gets. The ocean seems to do most of the talking. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained, with easy beach access, excellent indoor and outdoor pools, and plenty for both adults and kids to enjoy. The buffet each morning has been very good, and the real stars are the people. Richie, Mo, Nick, and Omar--the chef handling the omelets, eggs, and seemingly everything else--made breakfast feel less like a buffet and more like you were being welcomed into someone's home. Christy at the front desk was outstanding, friendly, helpful, and the kind of person every hotel hopes guests meet first. The valet staff was also terrific--quick, personable, and always seemed glad to see you. One thing this resort does especially well is strike that difficult balance between being family-friendly and still feeling relaxing. The indoor and outdoor pools are great, the beach is only steps away, and even when there are plenty of kids around, it still manages to feel peaceful. The resort also has a waterslide, spa, and several dining options on-site, which explains why so many families make this their regular Myrtle Beach stop. (tripadvisor.com) The only reason this isn't a full five stars is that the entertainment area for the kids can feel a little worn and rugged at times, and a few parts of the property could use a little freshening up. We noticed it, but not enough to outweigh everything else the resort gets right. At the end of the day, this remains one of our favorite places we've stayed. Good views are easy to find in Myrtle Beach. Good people are harder. This place has both, and that is what keeps bringing us back.

The prices of the food was good and food was good. Our room was ready early and I received a text informing us so we could check in early. That was very helpful. The amenities are a little run down, but I've seen that in many hotels in Mrytle Beach. Now by the late afternoon, the pools started getting kinda nasty. I know it's not the staff fault but perhaps they could clean a little more in that area during the day. It could be though because of staffing issues. Check out was at 10am which is early. They didn't have a lot of carts for luggage. It wasn't a huge issue for us because we were only there for long weekend. But if your trip is longer and have lots of luggage..that would be a pain. However, as a bride, I had high expectations for our wedding day (May 1, 2026) but unfortunately our experience at Bay Watch Resort and Conference Center fell far short. Several issues occurred throughout the event that reflected a lack of preparation and coordination. Before the ceremony even began, the venue's speaker system failed on the beach, leaving our DJ without working audio. This created unnecessary stress right at the start of what should have been a smooth ceremony. Our daughter had a small portable speaker, but even our immediate family in the first row couldn't hear a word.  During the reception, the food service was disappointing--many guests received cold meals, and service overall felt disorganized. At one point, a server dropped plates onto the dance floor, which was both disruptive and concerning from a safety standpoint. It was also clear the event was understaffed, as delays and confusion continued throughout the night. There were also noticeable attention-to-detail issues, such as incorrect signage in both the lobby and upstairs areas displaying the wrong month for our wedding. Perhaps most frustrating was that my photographer ended up helping coordinate aspects of the evening--something that should never fall on a vendor hired for a completely different role. Despite these challenges, the venue has since attempted to place blame on the DJ and photographer rather than taking responsibility. Overall, the lack of organization, staffing, and accountability made an already stressful day even more difficult. I would strongly encourage future couples to ask detailed questions about coordination, staffing, and contingency plans before booking!
