Parking was easy since there is a parking lot. However, it can get filled quickly and luckily I was able to snag a spot. Not sure what the other parking options are when the lot runs out. The park itself is super nice! It's hilly and vibrantly green. My favorite part is you have a great view of the city up top from the hill. The grass is also comfy to sit on. They have a playground, several picnic tables, and a bathroom too. There were several other groups celebrating occasions there, but it was not too crowded. A perfect option for nice weather. I would definitely recommend this park as a great picnic option and would visit again.

I've been visiting for a year on a weekly basis. One thing to be mindful for are the horse scat droppings that some horse riders apparently are careless to pick after. Today we came in and noticed this gentleman,Suro, cleaning and making sure all the equipment is up and running, I've seen him multiple times, checking for safety and maintenance. I've also seen police cruisers go by a lot- particularly at night. It was interesting to watch, and this happened a few days before Christmas...they took a truck and drove it onto the grounds and, no warning, park workers started hauling off this homeless couple's mattress, tent, grocery carts and other belongings. The couple scrambled to grab a few things. I had definite mixed feelings about it. The park can be very quiet and pretty otherwise. There are two play areas with new equipment, a baseball field, a little skate park, tennis courts and a senior center. There's a post office and church and convalescent home right across the street. There's a picnic area with a few tables and what looks to be an old stone fireplace. There are lots of pine trees and pine cones during most of the year which brings squirrels. The larger parking lot - there are two of them- serves as a Christmas tree recycling drop off (as you'll see from my pictures). There's also a veteran's memorial out front and the July 4th parade goes right past it. Overall, a generally safe and quiet place - but stay aware of the riffraff when they appear... It's a phenomenal park, it has everything you'd ever want in a park. The basketball and tennis courts also have lights above which is nice for when it gets dark. The park has nice Mountain Views as well.
