Our daily family hunt for parks has finally led us to a nice park! Such a beautiful view, nice atmosphere, safe and clean park. Our kids had such a nice time on their bikes. My toddler played so comfortably on the toddler side of the park. The bigger kids side had a really cool high tower to climb and come down on the slide. Had so much fun playing with my kiddos here.

Date: June 4, 2025 Was looking around for a new park to check out for a play date and stumbled on this one! The big coveted slide with the type of curvy stairway it had immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to check it out. And I'm so glad we did bc my boys LOVED it! The Navi was taking me to a different location but there is a parking lot. Tons of huge grass fields / baseball fields on the sides and the main playground is in the middle. As you walk towards the playground you'll see the picnic area to your left as well as the bathrooms. There is also swings under a shaded cover and a little playground right behind the swings with a rolly type of slide. My toddlers (4 & 2.5) had a blast! And we will def be coming back again soon! Would love to also host a birthday party here!

One of my favorite parks ever to take myself out, my family, and my dog! I come here every so often to get a break from the city. Pros: -This park is so clean. The ground, the floor, trash cans, picnic tables, play structures are all tidy. Please keep up the great work with maintenance! -Huge space!! Beautiful views and very peaceful. You can have a picnic here, run around freely, play basketball, baseball etc. The pictures don't do this place justice because when I arrived, I was shocked at how huge this park is! -Safe park so far. I don't feel weary or watching my surroundings like I do at North Hollywood and other parks. I've encountered some nice people. Cons: Dog owners sometimes have their dog off-leash and I do notice they seem to be well-behaved and not violent but I've had two dogs CHARGE across the ballfield towards my dog and had to quickly save my dog as I didn't know what they might do but wish they could keep their dogs on leash or go to the off leash dog park at Whitnal... Dog owners don't seem to like being told to keep their dog on the leash without being offended.

New playground is nice. Little kid area leaves a lot to be desired. There's not much to do there and those two swings have no shade.

It's a beautiful location and is so big. They have picnic tables and a lot of shaded area. It's a very family oriented park. It feels safe. But the bathrooms are pretty nasty. Being your own wipes or TP. The sand in the playground area is so dirty full of sticks, trash and rocks and not so safe for younger kids. Very hard to walk on. But besides that it's a nice park.

Beautful location in the hill of Burbank overlooking the valley. Great park for toddlers and older kids since they have two separate areas, however, not much shade. They have rolling hills and areas for picnics as well. Courts, too. Didnt use bathroom but heard they were ok

Gr8 park to bring entire family in Burbank!! I'm a photographer/videographer who shoots at this location frequently. I've never experienced any issues. Accessible & great parking.

There is surprisingly a lot of grass for a neighborhood park. We successfully found a spot to play fetch on a Saturday afternoon

Brace Canyon Park is a little paradise just outside Burbank downtown. It's on the hills so the temperature up there is always a little better than in the flat and it's the perfect spot for a Sunday walk, a picnic in the park or to play tennis! I love the courts here; Brace Canyon has 4 tennis courts that are usually free with few exceptions when there are classes, but it's usually written outside. I love to play here early on Saturday or Sunday. During the week they tend to get pretty busy and also throughout Saturdays but on Sunday it's usually quiet. There is also a little bit of shade if you arrive before 9am. There is a small water fountain right outside the courts as well as a small toilet... not the nicest but well... there are more bathrooms in the park which are way nicer and cleaner. Plenty of street parking around the area. Super nice and quiet neighborhood!

It's cute. We came here for an event the park held called National Night Out, where they had a bunch of vendors and booths and gave out a bunch of free stuff to the kiddos. It was fun. The only downside is we did see a coyote here. Which is pretty dangerous, obviously. We saw some joggers who encountered it, and the coyote ran away when the joggers got close, but the joggers also kind of ran away lol. In other words, it's a nice park, but I would be cautious with coyotes.

Went here for the Fall Festival. It was ok. It was more of a mini festival…read more For example, as far as food trucks went, there were only 2. One served burgers, fries, nachos, and soda, and the other served popsicles. I was relieved they even had those because at first I thought there weren't any food trucks at all. When I first went into the park, I wasn't even sure where the festival was. I just followed the people in front of me. We all followed the sound of a live band playing. Once we found the band, we could see a row of tents opposite of them. The tents were mostly for sign ups to performing arts for both children and adults, that's why I thought there wasn't any food. Then I realized the 2 food trucks were parked on the road close to the row of tents. Even the number of portable restrooms available was small, only 3, but again, better than none at all. As far as festivals go, you get what you pay for and since this one was free from parking to entrance, don't expect much. It's still something to do and a good excuse to spend some time at the park with nice weather. As for the park itself, it's clean and a way to enjoy nature in the city. There are even plaques talking about the L.A. River and a bridge to go over the water. Just know that you'll hear the constant sound of cars because of the nearby freeway. Plus, it being Burbank, you can't help but be surrounded by the entertainment industry. The park itself is named after late night host Johnny Carson, you can see the ABC skyscraper over the treetops, and when you see the mountain with the radio tower on top, you know you're looking at the backside of the Hollywood sign.

The ceremony included reading each of their names out loud and placing a rose on the plaque that matched the war they died in. WWII had the most roses and deaths. They had one of the fire trucks lift up a huge American flag next to the regular sized flags of the branches of our military which surround a pilar with a live flame. There was also a live band, singers, and flybys by planes in formation. It was a very solemn and respectful ceremony to honor those who died on duty. After the ceremony, I stayed at the park for a bit longer laying a towel on the grass under a tree. I don't know if it was just the spot I picked, but even though it was really grassy, underneath it was really muddy, like when I finally got up my towel was soaked through and so was my back. Then I got lost trying to find where I parked because the park is bigger than it looks and has 3 parking lots. I thought there was only 1, so I didn't pay that much attention when I walked towards the ceremony. When I tried getting back to my car I honestly thought it might have been towed. Now I know there's a parking lot by the building that leads to the swimming pool, another next to the swimming pool itself so you can actually see the water, and the last one is next to the tennis courts and baseball field. This doesn't include the parking spots all around the perimeter of the park. The park is clean, has plenty of playgrounds for children, tables and benches to eat at, and a public restroom. It's not the quietest of parks, though, since there are so many children and it's next to a busy intersection, like during the ceremony a trash truck and a random car honked their horns in support of the ceremony. Otherwise, it really is a nice park with plenty of amenities.
