I am upping my review because of the renovations. Terminal C is the original airport and was feeling and looking 50 years old, hence all the renovations. They have been closing off areas and some of the shops to do the construction, but the first new expansion has opened and it is nice. Brand new state of the art gates and seating. And they have some exciting restaurants coming. Lookin at you Pappas Bros! They are right off of the skylink train so they are super easy to get to. They are also doing a good job of sealing off the construction and navigating people around it. Going through the middle Cs where nothing has been touched is harder to navigate than where they are doing work. It will be interesting to see what they do with security once they get around 22, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. I am in and out of here all the time and I am impressed with the work that is being done and really at the speed it is happening, with very little inconvenience to travelers. read more

Terminal C has one job: get people from the parking lot to their gate with as little stress as possible. Unfortunately, it seems determined to make the journey more interesting than it needs to be. Every time I fly through here, something is closed, blocked off, or under construction. It has reached the point where I just assume the orange cones and temporary walls are permanent décor. I completely understand that airports need renovations, but this terminal has felt like a never-ending construction project for years. Between the detours, relocated businesses, and constantly changing walkways, it rarely feels like a polished travel experience. The terminal gets you where you need to go, but it lacks the modern feel and convenience of some of the other terminals at DFW. Hopefully, all of this construction eventually leads to something spectacular. Until then, Terminal C feels like the airport equivalent of "We're almost done!"... said every year. 2 STARS read more

Best part of terminal C is the Pappadeauxs! They have two sections across from one another and their food is delicious. Outside of the dining options, similar to other terminals, you got gates....seats....restrooms and well that's about it. Still enjoy the individual terminal TSA to help spread out the peeps and makes for shorter lines. I was shocked this time through that American Airline actually sent notification of the Skylink maintenance to allow for adjustment for terminal transfer process. Thankfully if you have enough time, you can walk between all terminals except E. Why E is out on its own is a mystery. They really should fix that. read more

Terminal C at DFW is a decent terminal for a layover as they have a good selection of dining options. For fast food options, there's McDonald's at gate C22, Starbucks at gate C8 and C21, Dunkin' at gate C17, Chick-fil-A at gate C24, and Shake Shack at gate C6. For sit down, full service places, there's Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen at gate C14, Maggiano's Little Italy at gate C17, and TGI Fridays at gate C8. While the walkways aren't as wide as terminal D, there's adequate amount of seating at each gate. read more

Flight status board. DFW terminal C doing an upgrade. The flight status board is great-readable and within view of the gates. Well done. However, the flight status board is no longer a series of monitors with rows for each departure. Instead the flights-a lot of them! were listed in a series of small cells alphabetical by destination. Nice new monitors but extremely difficult to read-font too small and hard to figure out which of the four flights to my destination I was on-hard to find flight number, airline, and take off time. Go back to the older system. read more

I have not flown into or out of Terminal C very often and it seems a bit dated compared to Terminals A and D which are newer. Nonetheless, it was fine. Seats were not worn. Restrooms were clean. Ample signage. I did not look for charging stations but I assume that they exist. There are some really good eating options with popular restaurants you find on the outside. In November 2025 Terminal C and parking around it is under construction and I was told it can be a nightmare to get in and out. Luckily, we had an early morning flight so it was not too bad. read more

In terms of airports and terminals, Terminal C is a sight better than Terminal A. But considering how this place was undergoing construction, I'm rather disappointed that only the last gates of the terminal were upgraded. Despite the government shutdown, we were out of TSA in less than 5 minutes (We had TSA Pre-Entry). I highly recommend getting that if you can because after 9am, this TSA is a nightmare. Bathrooms are kept moderately clean here. If it gets too crowded in one area, just walk an extra five minutes to get to the next location. If you are rushing your flight, there are a lot of employees that can drive you to your next location even if it's at a different terminal. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge - #27 Currently terminal c is being renovated so be aware if your flight is arriving or departing from this terminal. If you need the terminal link because you parked in a different terminal, be sure to walk inside of the airport and exit at the correct location. You will be unable to walk safely with luggage on the lower level because of construction. Just a note escalators and elevators are old or out of order, so be sure to read the signs to know where you should exit. Good Luck! read more

DFW is massive, but it's actually one of the better airports to get stuck in. The Skylink train makes it pretty easy to jump between terminals, which you'll probably want to do because the food and shopping options are actually worth exploring. I was impressed by the variety--it's not just the usual sad food court stuff. They have a ton of local Texas spots like Pappasito's and Salt Lick, plus high-end shops if you need to kill time. It honestly feels more like a mall than an airport in some areas. read more

Every few months, I fly through DFW on the way to another city, and occasionally, I stop in Dallas or Fort Worth for work meetings or to visit friends. I really enjoy the DFW airport! From the restaurants and shopping to airport lounges to the tram that can get you around the airport easily and even a hotel right in the middle of it, this airport has a lot to offer. After all, one of the slogans of the DFW Airport is "Travel. Transformed." The clubs and lounges in DFW Airport are much better than usual and there are more of them than usual. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard offering complimentary Admirals Club access (including the location near gate C20) and the American Express Platinum card offering other lounge access (including lounges elsewhere in the airport in other terminals) along with travel credits along with complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry membership. One of the challenges with the airport is that there is always construction taking place throughout the airport. Right now, fortunately, this is impacting the A and B gates more than Terminal C. Fortunately, the website (https://www.dfwairport.com) highlights these construction delays. On the website, you can also order a meal ahead of time and find a discount code for airport parking. You can also find security wait times, an airport shuttle tracker, parking availability, and interactive map, and a list of more than 200 shopping and dining options, many of which are located in Terminal C. For all of the airports I travel through, DFW is the only one I try to have a longer layover to take advantage of the airport, lounges, and travel experience. I was recently switching terminals in DFW to make a connecting flight and I do want to give them some props for having clearly marked signs and a tram system that shows up on the regular to move passengers to the correct terminal. Plus, once you are dropped of, there is not another mile of walking to get to your gate AND where there are moving walkways, they are WORKING! read more

Terminal C put simply is a hot mess. Whoever the architects are don't know how to stage the project. No A/C in baggage claim and it's 98 outside. The North Parking garage is not handicapped accessible so get ready to lug luggage up and down stairs. When it is nighttime it is really hard to see signage especially when you have construction lights blinding you. Waiting on our flight the terminal had many restaurants and coffee shops. My choice was for a coffee at Starbucks.

About the only thing that could improve this terminal is a complete demolition and rebuild. Roads reminded me of Tijuana, TSA Pre-Check closes early, so prepare for a truly abhorrent TSA experience. Food was OK-ish, but the access and construction really did it for me. Not flying here again, it'll be Dallas Love or nothing. read more

Our flight from California was delayed, and when we arrived at DFW, the tram to Terminal C was not working, which caused us to miss our connecting flight. When we tried to get assistance, the staff was rude and unhelpful. This was a very frustrating experience, especially since the situation was not our fault. I was unfortunately stuck in terminal C and it was the longest most dreadful wait I've ever had out of ALL of the miserable flights I've had out of Dallas international airport this one stuck out to me in particular because they actually stopped boarding to get three volunteers for the oversold flight. We booked three months in advance, we're just trying to get on the plane and get to our destination. Not be held up for hours due to the airlines poor planning. I really enjoy that you can be dropped off out front.of the airport. There are signs clearly marked so you know where to pull over at. I had a 5am.floght this trip so the airport was empty. I was able to boogie through TSA and to my gate without an issue. I do think of you are going to run flight times this ealyyou should have breakfast places open and more coffee places. My gate was right next to a Starbucks but I had to go another country mole to a Chick-fil-A and get a coffee. There are vendor machines that provide fresh food so I appreciated that. I also think the seats by the gates need to be cleaned. I tried to sit in three different seats only to find something stuck on them or dirty. The bathroom was very cleaned and I enjoyed that is was so close to my gate. read more

This is a great airport that has really invested in some wonderful upgrades and modernization projects! This airport opened when I was a boy and I cut my teeth on flying and learned to love aviation at this airport. It was cutting edge then - had gotten a bit worn - but they are bringing it back to life and making it fantastic again. DFW is a huge Beast. The skyrail enables faster transport across the sprawling property to access faraway gates, but unfortunately It's often overcrowded and the ride is less than smooth which makes it uncomfortable/fall hazard for some folks. I like the large comfy red chairs located at a few of the gates. However there seemed to be a lack of food options for an airport of this size. read more

None of the outlets work at the charging stations, the wall outlets or at the seats in the waiting area. With flight delays I needed to catch up with work and unable to get any power. Not to mention the bathrooms are terrible unkept. Travelers are tried and this just leads to even more frustration. read more
