Since I was a child, I've only transited to DFW via automobile; however, it's 2020 and we have smooth, efficient rail now! When I landed at DFW last week, I was surprised to see a sign at baggage claim for a train to Grapevine. So when I had another flight today, I decided that $2.50 was worth trying it out. The only downsides today were: 1) the ticket machine would not recognize that I'd inserted my bank card, so I had to pay cash, and 2) there was no place for passenger pick-up/drop-off due to hotel construction and a festival setup behind the station. As a result, we drove around the entire block and had to ask for directions twice in two different languages. We finally gave up and just pulled over on the street after a full lap. Notably, there is a parking garage, but it appears to be for long-term parking and I'm not sure of the rates. At 10:15 am on a Monday, I was one of only 3 passengers boarding at the station, which was good for social-distancing. Once on the train, there were only about four or five of us in one car. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and quiet the 10-minute ride was. I could easily imagine someone falling asleep and missing their stop. Once at the airport, it was not as obvious where to go to get to the terminal since people were walking in different directions, but luckily, I found the passageway to Terminal B and the security checkpoint was just upstairs. In order to get to my gate, I had to transfer to the Skylink unmanned rail, but the entire trip from Grapevine to Terminal E took only 34 minutes! I'll definitely make this a regular thing from now on!

Well, it was foolish of me to review a travel agency before taking the trip they booked. Nara…read moreTravel booked our international flight, hotel, a bus tour, and a domestic flight in Korea several months in advance. When I traveled to Korea, I discovered that our 8-day English-language bus tour, K-Shuttle by US Travel, was a complete and utter mistake. The company was extremely unprofessional with low standards falling completely behind the quite luxurious and competent Korean bus tours, while it was even more expensive than Korean bus tours. The only reason this company is still in business is because travel agents like Nara Travel book passengers for them, because the agents are paid to do so. Every passenger on the tour was booked through an agent. My wife had booked the tour with the travel agent and had asked the travel agent for two things: 1. We NEEDED a big charter bus. My wife gets migraines if she rides in a bumpy car and gets carsick easily too. 2. We asked for all meals included, which is typical of Korean bus tours. The tour was not in a charter bus. Instead, they booked a small, rickety tour bus (very bumpy=lots of headaches) and dinner NOT was included. The "English speaking" tour guides were mediocre. Some of the bus drivers were completely incompetent. And the entire company seems shady. Not to mention, the tour voucher/itinerary that Nara Travel made for us did not even have the name of the company written on it - so that when we were trying to meet up with our tour at the very beginning, we were at the meetup spot but didn't know the name of the company we were looking for. That was Nara's fault. Nara travel did not fulfill our requests or book a company that we would be happy with. My wife does speak fluent Korean, and we could have taken a Korean bus tour instead if we knew what we were in for. When my wife confronted our travel agent with these mistakes, she didn't really seem to care or acknowledge them, much less apologize. At the middle of the tour, we had a flight from mainland Korea to an island, which was booked by Nara Travel. Our flight was booked several hours later than the rest of our tour group's, so we missed one of the tour attractions because we were waiting for three hours in the airport. The hotel that Nara travel booked for us, City Co-Op in Seoul, was okay. It was located a 15 minute walk uphill from the nearest metro station. We ran into a few other snags, which I guess is understandable given that it was a budget hotel, but I still could not recommend the hotel. I trusted Nara Travel to fulfill our specific requests and book travel and accommodations that we would be happy with. They did not.

The only complaint was all the stops made in between Fort Worth and Houston and the actual length of time for the trip. At least someone else was driving, and I could sleep the time away or read. Don't take if you're looking for a quick way to get anywhere; however, using the service is very economical.

So I IMMEDIATELY call to move the reservation to a late night Sat bus that is cheaper. I am told I have to pay $35. I don't have that currently. There are apparently no exceptions. There are no corporate office to call. There are no offices in the U.S. I explained that my son was barley 18 and it was his first time away from home, and that I couldn't leave him without a safe place alone in Indianapolis all night. I asked my options. I was told I had none. I said you and your company are not concerned about the safety of a young person? He answered"that's right". I was appalled. I asked again. "Greyhound doesn't care about the safety of a kid traveling? He repeated..."that's right". The said they couldn't help. They can't control the computer. That I could cancel if I wanted. But that still would cost the same amount. Absolutely NO concern or customer service. I have never in 40 years been blatantly told that the customer does not matter. Please do not book with Greyhound. And DEFINITELY do not trust them to ensure your children's safe travel. I called immediately after booking. And was shook down for $40 I didn't have at the expense of my son's safety. Shame on this company EDIT- Supervisor Himae took it up on himself to reach out and solve my son's travel issue. I understand that they have policies but he took the time to listen and help me get my son home safe. It's employees like this that make the corporate world still run. Without a personal touch customer service would be gone. I appreciate his help and as long as people like this work for greyhound, they may keep my business
