Both AA flights that we boarded today were on time, which we were thankful for. The Dallas airport is huge one, so you should always make sure to allow enough time to get to your gate. You will probably need to take the sky tram since it can be a long walk.

We were originally at Terminal A, got switched to Terminal B, and then I ended up at Terminal C. Terminal C is, in my estimation, one of the busiest hubs American Airlines has. Between the volume of people and everything going on with TSA and the lines, it can be a lot. I still need to get that TSA ID thing figured out. But I cannot blame that on the airline. My flight left on time, boarding went smoothly, and everything was handled well. Five stars.

I hate American so much. I've reviewed other cities versions of American over the years, and I've never had a positive word to say. Alas, they are a monopoly and we live in an oligarchy so here we are, forced to deal with their ineptitude to fly affordably. In Dallas, they took over an hour to issue a travel credit for a hotel overnight, and they wouldn't reimburse the one I had already booked. They reimbursed my friend partially, even though she didn't pay for the hotel, and they just kept saying no when I asked why someone with the same booking could get a partial refund but I could not. Very annoying. I'm annoyed just typing this.

If you come to American Airlines with a legitimate concern, don't expect real help--just a generic, copy-paste response. No accountability, no effort to make things right. It's clear they couldn't care less about actually taking care of their loyal customers.

Great trip with early arrival and early departure for the next flight too! That's awesome - good job American!

Sheesh! I can't stand when, I have a connecting flight here in DFW I do try my hardest to get a connecting flight elsewhere, but sometimes the time of day, I fly out or where I am going is sometime unavoidable unfortunately. I've had it to where I am scheduled to fly out of terminal B and then 20 mins before boarding the app will change to terminal A or C this airport is huge and you'll have to either walk or catch the electric train to the terminals and still walk far depending on the gate and I have almost missed my connecting flight do to this foolishness. I never had this happen with any other American airline flight except this location. DFW please do better. I love flying into Phoenix or St. Louis hardly any issues. I wish I had something good to say, but I don't except the airport is nice I guess. Anyway, if you fly American try to avoid connecting through DFW unless this is your final destination. Flights are either cancelled, delayed or gates moved a lot of the time..., boooooooo!!!

My last review( also a 5 star one)for this great airline was just before Covid in November 2019. It got better. This airline got better - on time departures and arrivals, the friendliness and above and beyond actions of the team, newer airplanes, updated lounges, easier gate check in process, perks for frequent travelers to name a few. May 8, 2025 - a lady with 2 month old twins just boarded with her father and was stressed out. The flight attendant Maria in Business Class immediately grabbed her carry on bags and placed them in the overhead compartment asking what items she would need first. On the same flight another young mother traveling with her tantrum throwing 4 year old daughter had to go back to the plane entry door to get her second bag. The attendant Kendra offered to baby sit and picked up the screaming and hollering girl and just gave her love and pacified her. This was a 16 hour 40 minutes flight- longer because we had to avoid and go around a region that has seen a mini war erupt with missiles and drones in the last 36 hours. To be calm and so giving and outward during these crazy times - these are just 2 examples of how absolutely wonderful and amazing and giving American Airlines flight attendants are - by the way I don't know if this is in their job descriptions. On a long flight from Asia to back home in the US, flight attendant Eishwari got down on all fours to look for my charger plug that my clumsy ass dropped under the seat. Unsung heroines, great human beings - you are the backbone of the airlines and why we loyally keep coming back. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms who work at AA and are reading this. God Bless You! It is 3:04 am here on Saturday May 10 and I just am mesmerized by these Super Women.

We are on our final leg of our trip to see Alaska via princess cruise ship out of Seattle. We flew Delta to Seattle with no problems and even flew American Airlines from Seattle to Dallas Fort Worth with no problems and a really great crew and flight experience. Dallas Fort Worth is a different experience altogether. I'm sure it is because it is the main hub for American Airlines but everything here is disorganized and loud and confusing. Multiple gate changes and delays. They had everybody get ready to board a plane that wasn't even here yet for the longest time and now we are looking at our second lengthy delay just to get from Dallas to San Antonio Texas. I anticipate the next vacation we take will be via car.

I was on American Airlines, in the first class cabin, as part of my second of three legs (3 different aircraft) to Central America. The flight originated at LAX about 30 minutes after midnight. The second leg from DFW to MIA served us breakfast (there was no hot meal on the LAX to DFW leg). This could be pre booked in advance, and that is what I did. They call it Premier Dining, and the American Airlines website . Jazzes it up, to make you think, it will be a gourmet meal. What a laughing joke. It was a rubbery dry cheese omelette, with even drier and hard potatoes. The fruit was okay. Really, in First Class? Very shameful. The Stewardess (Kristi), provided excellent service. The only consolation, on another rip off American Airlines trip.

I use to LOVE AA. Now... hmmm. They are pulling the alacart nonsense. Loved my DCA to DFW flight crew, so let's see 1563 flight DFW to MRY goes!?

I'm still a fan of American Airlines, and the group based out of Dallas is typically pretty strong. The personnel at the gates wrangle passengers well most of the time, and I feel like I always get on the plane in an efficient manner. The planes leaving from here have almost always been clean (which means the Dallas-based crew responsible for this does a decent job). Dallas is a major hub for American Airlines, so I recognize that flight delays and gate changes happen more frequently in this city, which creates a challenge for passengers and airline staff. This situation is beyond Dallas-based staff's control. My most recent flight had 2 delays and 3 gate changes, but I had adequate notification of all of these things and was able to make my flight on time. This means the Dallas group was processing the information they received quickly and getting it out to us promptly. Be kind and recognize that the people behind the counters are not trying to make your travel difficult.

Reserved lunch for my flight before boarding. Flight was serving a choice of Chicken Enchilada, or a stuffed Vegetarian Pepper.

Long story short... I have to use a folding cane when I travel and need chair assist for airport mobility. I have two major health issues which do not allow me to freely move about without becoming so exhausted I literally cannot function. Cancer treatments can be brutal. As I boarded the plane in Dallas, a man was sitting in the aisle seat of the very front row. I boarded first and was trying to put my carry on overhead when this man suddenly started griping that I hit him with my cane. I felt NOTHING. how I could have hit him and not even felt a bump, I will never understand. I apologized to him and continued getting settled in. He kept griping that I was careless and carrying on like I had murdered his mother. I don't know what was going on with him, but it was way bigger than my supposedly hitting him by accident with my aluminum cane, which was hanging on my wrist by an elastic string. After getting settled in, one seat between he and I, another man came and sat in the seat between us. I leaned in to him after he got all seated and told him, "I don't know what that fella's problem is, but he sure has an attitude. Watch out." I whicspered this to the man, so the other fellow with the fly in his ointment could not possibly have heard me. Just then, the man of whom I was speaking got up and walked to the front of the plane. Before too long, a couple of the airline employees approached me and asked me to leave the plane! I was dumbfounded! My 75 year old mother was due to meet me in Boston and these people want to gum up my travel arrangements? I literally said nothing. I just got up and disembarked. No complaining. No arguing. NOTHING. After getting off, I asked to speak to a manager. When she finally showed up, I asked her to please tell me what I had said or done that merrited my being taken off the plane. All she said was, "If our attendants feel you need to be removed, we remove you. Period." I insisted on a better, more thorough explanation. NONE was forthcoming. I wound up stuck in a hanger ofr hours, without food, being a sever diabetic who has serious issues when my sigar drops low, which is why when I travel I try to prepare for every possibility. I never in the world expected this to happen. Again, long story short, I wound up having to call my 75 year old mother on her borthday and tell her I was going to be several hours late as I had been removed from the plane, without explanation. What else could we do? Long story short (again), I have NEVER been back on a Southwest plabe since. I literally get hives just thinking about trying to use that airline. That experience was so tramatic that I STILL have nightmares about it and what could have happened. Not only am I a diabetic with leukemia, I am also a 40+ years in ministry ordained minister! That is why I gave them absolutely no issues when they asked me to get off the plane. I believe in trying to live Christ-like. I have a SOuthwest - Chase credit card and have accrued many, many, many travel points. I won't even use them to fly for free as I am terrified that I may be trying to go somewhere and I will once again, com pletely without cause or explanation, be removed from my flight. I STILL have no clue what was said that made these people do me as they did. I can only speculate. Honestly, and you have no idea how much I hate to say these words, I have to wonder if it wasn't race related? The man in question was black. So was every single Southwest employee I had dealt with. I have wondered over and over again if that man didn't falsely claim I used a racial epitath or something. Being married to a person of color, and having decades of ministry which has included preaching in as many churches of color as "white" churches, I am not even remotely inclined to that. Not even remotely. But that would be the only justifiable accusation I could think of for the treatment I received. I can't imagine any other reason. When my sugar drops I can get extremely irritable and easily angry and frustrated. I carry glucose tablets with me to try and prevent this from happening. I did have one issue years ago while taking a Southwest flight that involved me being in very bad spirits due to a hypoglycemic incident. I was travelling with my spouse at that time, so ultimately I was able to get access to food which resolves the blood sugar issue within about 30 minutes. I have wondered also if they didn't somehow blacklist me over that incident and therefore, any accusation would justify their doing what they did. To this day, I HAVE NO CLUE! I still cannot get the trauma of this event out of my head.

Spend the money on a sign that doesn't roll its eyes. Of course, this was the last airport JFK flew into. In fact, LBJ was sworn in as president while on the tarmac here. For being one of the oldest continually operating airports in the US (founded in 1917 as a WW1 training base), it doesn't look like it. By the way, if you're on a layover, they have a Smithsonian-affiliated museum ($12) that houses over 30 aircraft and extensive space flight exhibits on airport grounds a 5 minute taxi ride away. As for being the site of movies: their modern (for its time) moving sidewalks were used in Logan's Run (1976). Oliver Stone recreated the president's arrival here for JFK (1991), as did the Stephen King based 11.22.63 (2016); Wes Anderson used it for the backdrop of Bottle Rocket (1996), and the airport was a plot point in Michelle Pfeiffer's Love Field (1992).
