Everything was great up until the point I told him his quote was much higher than the 4 other vendors I had contacted prior to him. Once i told him we were going with another vendor he kind of hounded with me questions about the other quotes. Which OK, if that's all it was I wouldn't have bothered writing this review. But that's not where it ended. He then proceeded to tell me what i need to make sure to check for in a roofing company because if the prices were lower than his they must be an uninsured company with no English speaking person on the job. Yeah.... What???? I know, you can't believe it either right? PS Joe I speak Spanish pretty well as do a considerable amount of people in Texas. Then when I expressed offense at his insinuation he knew better than I do how to search for my own vendors he told me to be offended all I want he is going to advocate for his customers. I did not ask for an advocate sir I asked for a bid and since I did not accept your bid I am not your customer. The end. I realize I am a woman doing men's business and that confuses people but this behavior is just plain unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone who doesn't want to work with questionably racist people who think they know better than you.

I kept his business card and after a terrible storm of hail/wind six months later, he looked again. It was time. Chip and Trish literally "held my hand" through the entire inspection, appraisal, insurance process; something I had NEVER been through before. They were honest, encouraging, but above all they were patient with me. The attention to detail that they and the crew from Tritan provides in repairing/replacing a roof should be emulated by other companies. To say they "do it right" is an understatement, and was obvious when they pulled the old roof off which was shoddily done on a home that is barely 5 years old. (Shame on today's builders.) A recommendation to use Tritan (Chip & Trish) is an understatement. If you want it DONE RIGHT, hire Tritan. If you want it DONE HONEST, hire Tritan. They were easy to communicate with and very responsive and respectful to all my concerns. * They started the day at 7 and worked until 2 and completed the roof. * They saved us from a fire hazard. Our dryer vent was full of lint, whoever did the roof before did a really bad job installing the vent and it was just about ready to start a fire. * They are a veteran friendly company with American values. They came out to do the job in August but did not provide a contract to sign or proof of warranty. That should have been a red flag. A couple of months later we had a roof leak. I contacted Matt who said he would get someone to come check on our roof and then was ghosted. He would no longer answer calls or texts. We had to pay another company to fix a gap that Vortex had left around our chimney. Despite multiple attempts to contact Vortex to fix this warranty issue, they have still not reached back out. We are very disappointed that we were taken advantage of by this company in our time of need. Also: Do not confuse this company with the legit roofing company Vortex Roofing and Construction LLC. When I researched the quality of Matt's company before hiring them, I accidentally looked up these guys and they have great reviews and are members of the BBB. I thought we chose a legitimate business but Vortex Contractors is not.

I contracted this company to install a TPO roof on a new single family home. It took them 4 weeks…read moreto start even though they said they could start right away. They left the job incomplete. The roof remained incomplete for another month until they corners finally started coming up. I called and complained to them and finally someone showed up to install the metal coping material around the parapet. The guys who installed the roof put the nails on the wrong side and coping material didn't cover up the nail holes. They also failed to pay the installer and he's calling me all the time about his money. I now have to complete the roof which cost another $3K and figure out a way to get the metal company some money for their work. I paid them $14K for this roof and will be out probably another $6K to finish it. Everyone's complaint about this company is right. They are crooks and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. We plan to sue them just to get these issues on their company record.
