I have been a member of the Dharma Healing center for over a month now. The new location on Atwells Ave is really a great space. The waiting room is welcoming and the private treatment rooms are quiet and calming. Each room has it's own tone, that is set fourth by the therapist. This place is without a doubt top notch. They are a full service healing center that offers quite an impressive menu of holistic treatments that are 100% client focused. It is clear that the therapists and all staff in general are there because they want to be. Therapists are knowledgeable and incredibly able to contour every treatment to the client's needs or requests. I have been in with Stanley for a 70 minute deep tissue massage. Stanley is incredibly talented and focused on your body and body responses. He is professional and thorough. The deep tissue experience is just wonderful - especially for those that are on their feet for their profession - Nurse, etc.. I have scheduled another massage with Stanley and cannot wait to go back. It really helps to detoxify the body, loosen the muscles and clear the mind. I recently went in for a 70 minute hot stone full body Swedish massage with Kayla. Kayla is a very skilled and masterly in her craft. Again, she contours the massage to the client and is very interested in any specific areas / body stress you may be having. The music in her room is outrageously calming and appropriate. Her massages literally take you to another place. I was so calm and relaxed when I left I had to sit in my car for a minute before I started driving! She spares not one second of your session for anything other than making you feel absolutely wonderful. I plan on being a regular of Kayla's as well. This place is a 10. It is such a step above your "chain" massage centers. If you are looking to take your healing needs to the next level, look no further. They offer amazing incentives for first-timers and students. They always have a special of some kind running to help members maximize their experience without maximizing the cost. The value goes far beyond what you would expect. Absolutely fabulous! read more

I visit Dharma on a Groupon that includes a signature facial and a microdermabrasion. The full price on this service is $108 + $25 = $133. The staff is nice and the room is relaxing. The facial starts out well. Cleansing, exfoliating, microderm, all fine. Then she asks if I want extractions for an extra $10. I have literally never gotten a facial costing over $40 where extractions weren't included... But I go for it since I'm on a Groupon. She gets the tip of my nose and that's it. Seriously? I KNOW my skin isn't so perfect that it doesn't need extractions. It had been months since my last facial! Moving on. She puts the mask on. She's mixed in tea tree oil which starts to sting my face, so I let her know. She is very nice and takes it right off and applies some aloe instead. Here's the problem: she was just bragging to me about how cheap aloe is, $1.49 at the store. Then she goes and puts it on my face as my mask, and never puts another one on after the tea tree one. So the $1.49 aloe is my mask. Sorry, but I could have done this at home. Then the facial is over. It lasted 50 minutes. No massage. No head rub. No real mask, hardly any extractions. Total "value": $143 not including tip. I mean... So then I email them my grievances and explain why I didn't like my experience. No one answers. Instead I start getting mass promo emails. I even respond to one of them reminding them that I had messaged them with some feedback. Again no answer. Bye bye Dharma! I had purchased a coupon through groupon and the only way to get seen at this place was through appt. I had schedule one online and two days later, received a call to reschedule and accommodate someone else -_- I let it be and then the day before my appt, they called AGAIN to reschedule. I put my foot down and let them know if has already been schedule. No empathy was given and i was told to reschedule. I purchased a groupon special last night and went for my massage today. This place is awesome. After a long day at work I walked in and immediately felt at ease. The front desk person was warm and welcoming! I never really had a masaage before and the masseuse explained everything to me and made sure that all of my problem areas were worked on. I attended the life coaching course and experienced a deep connection to my fellow classmates in a non traditional setting that I feel which is needed in today's day and age. I heard about Dharma Healing through Groupon. 3 Brazilians for $84 !!! I know that is insane!!! I was nervous about this for like a week related to my previous experience with waxing... Let me tell you, Stephanie was beyond AWESOME. I am not going to lie it hurt like hell but it was quick. 10 mins TOPS and I was out of there. She was QUICK but thorough and made me feel comfortable and talked me through it. She used a hard wax which shortens the time oppose to using strips. My skin is semi sensitive, there was minimal redness and surprisingly no soreness. I am very happy with my results! read more

I've started a class at Dharma recently, and although I've received different types of services at Dharma over the last few years (all amazing), I had never taken a class there. This is a new side of Dharma, Sandi is patient, kind, funny and understanding. I've been in the healing world for a long time and Sandi is as great as they come when it comes to teaching. I had a Brazilian wax done. it was a horrible (rushed) job. The crease between my inner thighs were raw pink when I got home, my skin looked like it was peeling. I left with random hairs all over the place. The next day I called and complained to the receptionist and told her that I was dissapointed. But after the conversation It seemed like they were willing to make things right and she reassured me m that things would be fixed, I'm not a complainer so I left things out of the conversation especially how my inner thighs had been peeling. But since she reassured me I started thinking maybe something was just off the first time, could have been a busy day although that shouldn't have been an excuse, so I Went there again, the waxer left random hairs all over again, and rushed everything. Waxer asked me if I needed any more hairs removed. I politely said no, deep inside I was shocked why is a professional asking me, "you don't see the little hairs!" Is it that hard to see them. I Will never go there again! Highly disappointed is not even the word, id rather pay $100 somewhere else before I ever walk through those doors. read more

I love this place! I had a Groupon for three different sessions with Sherley and all were amazing. Very relaxing and definitely not your normal spa. She adds a magical touch. I also had some bodywork done with Jonathan and although painful it's worth it! It's exactly what I have been wanting without realizing it! I feel great! Stephanie is a great person for the Brazilian wax, I went to her once and felt completely comfortable , that being said let me get to the point They have a horrible representation of customer service especially over the phone. So after my initial meeting with Stephanie I didn't need to go back for a while so I would reschedule my appointments when it got closer and I still didn't see signs of needing one , there was never an issue and someone from the office always called a day ahead to confirm Well 3/8/17 I receive an email saying ' thank you receipt ' and I was charged a $45 cancellation fee for an appointment I wasn't even aware I had . I also didn't receive any confirmation calls about it. I immediately called and left a message at 9pm. 11am today I still didn't get a call back. So I call again and the person on the phone confirms they got my message ( ok so why didn't I get a response ) and that I can speak to her cause everyone else is busy . She was of no help about getting me my money back but provided a Leondra would be coming in and she had the power to help me. I was told Leondra would call once she got in . That convo was bad at 12pm. I had to call back at 3pm and who picks up Leondra. So I go into explanation I never received a call or email except that I was charged. She cut me off mid sentence and says she needs to check my account info. Leondra comes back and states that not only was I Emailed but She Called me to confirm.. Now what kind of person forgets speaking to the person they're complaining to. So I go on to tell her the last email before the receipt I got was in January and that all my confirmations since then I usually received a call. Leondra nonchalantly tells me she did call and my email confirmation never bounced back so my money won't be reversed and she has no power to do so . I ask for an office manager and she states it's her. I then ( not so nicely) inform her I'll be there with my call log and email log to prove no such contact was made. Leondra informs me I don't need to bother because I won't be getting my money back. Moral of my story Find a different place to get whatever services they provide here. It's not worth the hassle ex. Long call waiting , never have open dates , to deal with this business. It is also very over priced . $45 is not meager money and the fact they need your CC before even meeting is a warning sign. I will not be letting this go because it's not about the money now but the fact their office manager is a blatant liar. Don't do it ! read more

I travel from MA to do work with Sandi and not only adore her and her expertise in the practice, but I also occasionally opt in for some of the service specials they offer. Recently, I had an relaxing facial and a message here. Both were great! I recommend keeping an open mind, as some of the specials that are offered have full disclosure that whichever service you are getting might be performed by someone in training. My recent message with Ralf was great- he was in training and was professional, thorough in his work (deep tissue message) and really took his time identifying where and which of my muscles needed more attention! I mean what's better than helping someone grow in a practice, but also getting a full hour body message (Swedish or deep) for $49 -- can't beat that! read more

Five star five star! Yes, I will agree that when I call no one answers blah blah blah. They are busy and I just go online and book whatever I have to book. Stephanie is great! A+ Brazilian waxes I highly recommend! I yet to try other services due to my busy schedule but I did book a facial for my boyfriend recently so I will give an update on that. Other than that they clearly have a cancellation policy and clearly state how many hours before your appt. to cancel and the fee for missing your appointment. This is why they need your credit card info in order to book your appt. we all know we have lame ass excuses about not being able to make an appt. and/or forget ( i am guilty of this but never complain because the policy is as clear as water) I support this policy 100% and disagree with the 1 stars that have been giving to Dharma Healing! read more

I went here 2 times before I bought there 3 massage package in August of this year. I redeemed one and was sched for late September to get another one. I had a hard time fonding the place and called the business 10 times because I knew I was in the area but could locate where. The receptionist states that she's having a problem with the phone and would I like to come back. I told her at this time I could reschedule. I was frustrated and I would call back. I never had such a huge issue getting an appointment before. So I called today and asked if there was anything abvailavle for a pre natal massage , Leondra stated no. I then said well I might have to ask for a refund seeing that when I do call there is nothing. She snapped and said that specials like these are non refundable. And then stated that I have until nov 25th to use my remaining massages. I said well I deff can't get in there 2 times before then. She then said I purchase this promotion in August and knowing their limits on prenatal massage therapists I should have known and I had enough time to redeem. Now i got pretty upset. I then called back and asked for her manager to call me. Of course the manager isn't in. I then said have her call me tomorrow or I will assume she did Neto get the message. Leondra then said well I will give here the message but if she doesn't call back its because she has a lot on her plate. I then asked Leondra if she sure she was trained to be a receptionist. I HATE posting reviews and telling people they are not doing their job. But wow. I am a office manager I would not allow my staff to speak to a customer that way. I also was never told I had to use them before thanksgiving. So now I'm out 140 dollars and 2 massages. I was told this place wasn't great but I had had no issues. If you are a full time worker and mom to be and go to school or have other obligations like me. This place is not for you. They sold me the package really quick but now trying to redeem it has been terrible. I rather lose my money then go back there.im sure a refund isn't an option. So sad. read more

Dharma Healing Center how you changed my life amazingly and dramatically!!! Originally went for a consultation because I was interested in lipo-light, that's when I first met Sandi. Staff is super friendly and understanding. I started seeing Sandi after that every week having her as my life coach. Omg what a huge difference my life as change. She helped me realize how much potential and what a beautiful and bright future that is ahead of me. It's only been 7 months I've been seeing her and I traveled across country by myself for one month. Learned a lot about body, mind and soul. Now I'm currently taking Dharma Healings Life Coach classes to become certified in Life Coaching. In a few weeks I'll be officially certified !!! Sad to say that the best waxer(Stephanie) they HAD is leaving! I just want to warn everyone about the BS at this place. I was told I could use my points that have added up for 2 years now for wax services. Nowhere in their office do they have anything in fine print stating that you have to reach a certain amount of points and when you ask the receptionist they give you incorrect information. They are very disorganized and never pick up the phone. When booking my appointments I always had to book online. I took this as a lost but the owners IDK how many of them there are do not even care about the clients the least that should have been done is putting my points towards a service w/o having to get a certain amount of points which you are never informed about. I'm glad that I will never be returning to this place and do not recommend DHARMA HEALING to anyone. There are plenty of other places. Clients only received a short notice about a week or less that the best waxer ever was leaving but they ask for a 30 day written notice to cancel your membership. BE VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE YOU SAVE ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK AND ARE GETTING CHARGED PROPERLY. Also, a little advice if you plan on not showing up to an appointment or want to no longer use services and have a membership just enter a different credit card that you do not use and you won't have to worry about that :) your welcome. read more

Incredibly unprofessional place. There was a very nice person at the desk but they booked me with a masseuse who just decided not to show up and had no one available to take their place. I waited for half an hour, not to mention the driving, but it's O.K., mistakes happen, the problem was what happened next. The receptionist was very apologetic, offered me a facial, I said I just wanted a refund as I didn't have time for this. She promised me a full refund by the end of the day. As I had purchased a package of three treatments and used none of them, I asked that the full amount be refunded and was assured this would happen. Linda, the manager responsible for doing this, never processed the refund. Instead she failed to respond to my phone calls or emails. Finally, I reached her and she assured me she would take care of this, which in the end meant offering me a free treatment to compensate for the poor service. I visited Dharma with a Groupon and had a facial. It was great, so decided to join the membership. My next visit was for a massage. I wasn't told that the MT was an NMT, he did work over the clothing you wore. It was November and I had on a couple of layers. We worked around it and the treatment was painful & awkward, but affective. I wish I had been told before hand that was how he worked. I could have brought a tank top or jog bra to wear. A little communication goes a long way. I had 3 more services with 3 different MT's. Two talked through the whole massage about themselves, the other was late and not especially nice or skilled. I hate to throw people under the bus, but I have to be honest. My only luck with the services was with Shirley and my facial. I decided to cancel my membership in September and was told the last deduction from my account would be in October. Lo and behold $$ was out of my account again this month.
