After driving from Buford Georgia to this location it was closed. Yes, I called before coming in the young lady that answered the phone guaranteed me that they were open until five. To my surprise she didn't tell me that this location was closed. She did give me the option to shop at the Cummings location however when I went there to spend my $6000 preapproval I got no help from anyone. I'm not sure because I am African-American and 6 foot six - but don't judge a book by its cover. She also gave me the option to order online but when I did email twice With in the week I got no reply from anyone. Went by the Cumming location today looking for a specific brand of living room furniture that their website says they carry. I had already priced out the set at around $7000.00, and wanted to see if they had it in the store for my husband to try out and look at. They did not have it in the store. On their website they say that if they do not have the furniture in stock, they will bring a piece in for customers to see with no obligation to purchase. I asked her if they could bring one of the chairs in for us. The lady stated that if I wanted to see the chair at their store, I would have to put down a 10% deposit to make sure that we would come back to look at it. "No thank you", I said. I can only imagine the hassle we would have to go through to get our money back. We'll be buying elsewhere. read more

On a recommendation from several co-workers we finally found this relocated store. They have a larger inventory than you'd imagine from the Bulloch Avenue entrance. You can also enter from Hwy. 120 and there is more parking in the back as well. They don't offer refunds, but they do give store credit, so we had an alternate piece of furniture selected just in case I purchase didn't "fit" once we saw it in our home. The staff was very friendly and helpful on each of the visits we've made to this location. read more

DHI, I just wanted you to know that I received my bed and mattress on Friday. The young man that arrived and put everything together was wonderful, he was quick and did an excellent job. I also wanted to let you know, that because I bought a cheaper bed and a cheaper mattress, I expected to get what I paid for in that it was not the top of the line. I was wrong, the bed is absolutely beautiful, was well constructed and is solid. I checked it out while he was putting it together. The mattress you recommended is WONDERFUL, I have been sleeping on a couch for quite some time, I don't think I moved at all the first night. I stumbled on this site online while shopping for furniture. They had a great inventory online so I went to the Kennesaw location. There were not as many items in the store to see as I would have liked. I got a lot of help from Christina and the prices were quite decent. Then everything seem to gradually go downhill after I placed my order. I didn't get any updates and called several times before my order was delivered 6 weeks later. Delivery guy damaged item in my house during delivery and got really irate. Very unprofessional. Even though I noted this on delivery slip and contacted customer service, of course replacement was denied. DO NOT BUY MATTRESS FROM here. The one I ordered had a foul smell that won't go away. Despite trying to get it exchanged for over 3 weeks delivery didn't seem to be available. Eventually I returned and asked for a refund. Another shocker, read fine prints. I had some furniture financed, so it was keep all or return all. I ended up returning all. This was so not a pleasant experience for me. I wasted a lot of time and energy. I was a very patient customer. Oh customer service is one person show so everything works at a snail pace. I doubt I will be doing business here again. read more

After searching several retailers we decided to purchase a bed frame from DHI furniture. Almost one year later the wooden bed rail broke (Manufacturer defect). I called the store for servicing, since I purchased a 5 year warranty along with the bed. A service person came out looked at the bed and took the broken rail back to the store with him. After several days of waiting, I called back to the store for a status. I was told they were working on it. I waited another 1-2 weeks called the store again and was given the run around as to whether they'd even called the manufacturer for a replacement. It was at this point, that I was told that this wasn't covered under the DHI warranty. I was advised that they would call the manufacturer to get a price on new rails and call me back. I never received a call from the store again. At this point, I have found a few companies online that sell the bed, but they are not local. The best quote I can get for delivery time frame is March 2014 because it has to be drop shipped. Sounds like a great alternative, however I've yet to have one of the online retailers to confirm that they can get the slacks from the manufacturer. So needless to say I've given up on the wood rails which complete my bed. I am going to purchase metal rails. All I have left to say is if I wanted metal rails, I would have purchased a bed that came with metal rails. I will NEVER EVER buy from them again. Horrible customer service and follow up. They do not stand by their products and I can't figure out what my extended warranty is actually for. The things you need warrantied on a bed are not covered by this DHI warranty. It was a $1300 lesson learned. It's just pretty sad to say the least. read more

I had been lookingf for a new "power" sectional for MONTHS to replace my old "pull the handle" sectional. I knew I didn't want any cheap crap from RTG, nor Ashley Furniture as I and everyone else I know has been disappointed with their stuff. So I finally found and visited DHI based on reviews of the place. The place is not that big but George can order and get anything. I told him what I was looking for and he spent hours looking through catalogs with me and even followed up with more suggestions via emails and phone calls. Once I finally agreed on which one from such a HUGE selection, he placed the order and it was delivered right when he said it would and in perfect condition. The pressure was on since there were 4 others at home waiting for this couch and George and DHI really came through. read more

I placed an order with DHI in May 2012 and waited until to end of June 2012 to find out that my order was ordered from the manufacturer and it was damaged upon arriving to DHI store. Ok I said, no problem. They stated they would re-order and I said fine, if I was going to spend $928 dollars on a bed it better be in one peice. They told me that it would arrive on the first week of July. I called weekly to check on status and when September hit, they told me that they STILL had not received the order from the manufacturer. So the next logical thing was to cancel my order which I did on Sept 10th. Spoke to George L. (the owner) said that it would take 7-9 business days to process and that my money would be credited back to my account. STILL waiting George!!! I even received a confirmation email on 9/19/12 stating that my cancellation was being process and it would only take 7-9 days from the date of cancellation which again was 9/10/12. So its a month later, many calls and messages sent and still no response from owner. What a scam!!! DO NOT do business with these people. I am now in the process of taking them to court. Look elsewhere if you want to buy from an honest and reputable business. - 10/17/2012 Update: Its funny how when you mention a lawyer, courtesy is flowing everywhere. And I finally got a response I was waiting for weeks now. Well, George L., called today giving me an explanation of why he could not get back to me and how the company is going through some changes and is being bought by another company - no surprise there. He explained that due to these changes, he waited out to see how this "situation" would be handled. A simple phone call, could of helped. Well, NOW he tells me the bed is available if I want to get it after waiting 5 months -OR- I can get a check in 30 days. I went with the best option. So now, the countdown begins. I recently visited Town Center Mall store and was terribly disappointed in the sales experience that I received. The owner was working the evening that my husband and I visited the store and when we arrived, we were not greeted or assisted until I requested help. We had a piece in mind that we thought that we might have liked but it didn't quite meet our expectations when we saw it in the store. When I did see a piece that I did like, the owner went out of the way to let me know that the piece was in a much higher price point than what I was initially looking at....unbeknownst to him, my husband and I were fully prepared to buy what we liked regardless of the price. What annoyed me furthermore was that when he finally did help us, the first thing he asked was if we were financing furniture, not what we liked....and we were actually planning to pay cash for whatever we would have selected. As a person with extensive sales experience, I was utterly disappointed in the service I received, and it totally turned me off from spending a cent in that store. I see that everyone has wonderful reviews about this store, and I wish I could say the same, but I can say that I will never buy from this store. On Memorial Day, (after researching king size beds for a few months), we decided to check out a few places in Kennesaw. DHI was our last stop. We inquired about one of their beds that was only available online, and the sales representative ( I will edit this post when I recall his name) was very helpful and honest about their products. He had been selling furniture for 30 years and could tell us more about the materials and what beds would be the most durable and a worthy investment. Based on his knowledge and recommendation, we chose our second choice, which was a Phoenix Bookcase (or Captain's) bed by Coaster. We also chose a king size mattress and he explained every aspect of the purchase and when our bed and mattress would be delivered. Good to his word, we were contacted by the driver this week and set up and appointment. The driver, Marco, called to confirm his arrival time and was even a little bit early! Marco and another worker, Brian, were careful, efficient, and professional in every aspect of the delivery and assembly of our furniture. I inspected their work before I signed for the delivery, and was very pleased with their work. I will update this review after we have had our furniture for a while. read more

We recently visited the location in Town Center Mall twice and regret going out of our way to do so. Our first trip was on a Tuesday evening specifically to see the store, only to find that they were closed inexplicably 90 minutes before the mall or their web site said they would be. While in the area again a week later we thought we would try again. Although the store was open, it was cluttered and felt a bit unorganized. However, the motivation to write this review ultimately stems from the interaction (or lack thereof) from the gentlemen working in the store. We were the only customers and his only acknowledgement of us was some inaudible mumble that we believe was a "hello". Although we came to the store with cash in hand, ready to ask questions about a few specific pieces we saw on the web site we ultimately decided to make our purchase elsewhere. First impressions are everything and customer service goes a long way in the diluted retail market. If this is how they treat a potential customer from the start I would be overly cautious to do business with such an establishment. We chose to spend our $4,000 elsewhere.
