I explained this to him and he said there would be an extra charge if he had to come back. REALLY?? Poor poor customer service. Boy was I wrong on that one. October of last year I struggled to get a hold of them to blow out my system but finally did get it figured out. However after that is when the issues started After the system was blown out i found out that we had a leaky ball valve (not their fault) so I figured I would go with them to fix it. After calling many times with no luck I brought in a plumber to just replace the valve no big deal, but I then needed to get my system blown back out as there was a ton of water that leaked back into the system. I called at least 5 times with 3 voice mails with no luck. By the time that i realized they were not getting back to me the snow was already falling and it was way too late. Fast forward to this year I thought i would give them another chance, but after 2 more calls with no call back I decided to go else where. Found out today though when the new company came out to get the system up and running I have busted pipe from the freeze this winter. Not only is Rain Master unresponsive they are also disrespectful as the few times I did actually get a hold of him he was unhelpful and just not worth my time. We initially tried to schedule it that fall, but things were pushed back (understandable). At the last moment, with the unseasonably warm December, it was suggested we plant the trees then -- but on the advice of my tree doctor, I requested to push to early spring. Everyone agreed. At this point the relationship was great. Spring passed. I was attending a family emergency when I was told they were going to plant in June. The hottest part of the year. This was the worst possible time to plant. 3 of 6 trees died. I wrote several times to see if we could rectify this problem and have been stonewalled since. It is now late September. But when things went wrong, we felt like no one really cared about the problems we were experiencing. "These things happen" is a phrase we heard often. I opted not to pay my final invoice, feeling we deserved more explanation and even a discount. But instead, we got a letter saying our account is being turned over to collection agencies. If you hire NorthTech, be sure you are on-site when the work is being done. I wasn't, and boy o boy was that a mistake.​
