The local office is great but the company as a whole is terrible. There is no way to communicate with the staff in Earth City. You have to speak with the outsourced call center. All I wanted to know was what time was their cut off time for the day. You would think that this is a simple question but for DHL it is not. I got different answers or no answer including people just putting me on very long holds and eventually just hanging up. I had to just take a day off from work, which turned out to be completely unnecessary. Extremely unprofessional! I send and receive packages all the time. If you value your time, money and sanity just go to ANY other courier service. This has got to be the worst. read more

It's unbelievable how bad the customer service is. I scheduled a pick up for evening time frame 4:30 to 8:00. I get home to find out they came at 4:00 and marked order as no home. I called customer service asked to speak to a supervisor was told would received a call within 90 minutes LOL that was 3 days ago still no return call. I would never recommend this service and the only reason I'm using them now is because the seller sent a prepaid international label. read more

Worthless. Don't expect your package on time. It'll stay at their facility until they feel like delivering it... who knows when that'll be. Also, when you're informed that your package is out for delivery, don't get excited. They'll likely turn around and say it's not deliverable for an unexplained reason. You guys freaking SUCK! DHL Fraud Company | Never Book International Shipment with them | DHL will say Shipment is Stuck with Custom Clearance Event even though all requested document submitted | Not providing any Indian Customs document | Asking additional $70 to return the shipment else threatning they will destroy the shipment. Saw the other poor reviews and still thought I'd take a chance. Save yourself a headache and skip DHL completely! They are a headache to deal with and open your packages (and all contents) individually which seems intrusive and takes forever. Then it is a coin flip whether your package will ever arrive and in what state it will be when it gets there. Use one of the other 3 options (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) because they are much more competent than these clowns. read more

If I could give 0 Stars I would, I run a small online business and I ship things from Thailand (Home) to my residence here in St. Louis often. DHL Express shipment always had great service for us in the past but now at this location to receive shipments it has been everything but great. I had a shipment arrive at their location more than 4 days ago. I often would pick up my shipments to speed up the process so I wouldn't have to wait for no reason. (That seems to be the trend with this place) I called customer service to have shipment changed to pick up and they informed me to come later on in the day before closing. I arrive to pick up my package and give them all my information and the lady says they have it but won't allow me to pick it up. She then says I will have to wait until Friday to either pick up or have it delivered. I was furious because I had driven all the way there when I was given the OK to pick up that day. I accepted that and they changed my tracking information to scheduled for delivery as agreed. Friday- I log into tracking to see if my package is out for delivery, it is only morning so I called and told them It said scheduled for delivery as agreed still and customer service said they would contact this location to ensure it gets delivered (Exact words- The location promised you delivery on this date -so they will deliver today) Shortly after the call my tracking changed to delivery with courier. I waited till the afternoon and around 4 PM I called to be sure it was on track still. They informed me that It was currently with a courier being delivered so I didn't have the option to pick up if I wanted to at this point. I got off work around 5 and I called again and they told me it was still out for delivery it could take a few hours. Now I call again at 8 PM wondering what in the world is taking so long and the customer service lady informed me that it was still out for delivery and it could possibly be delivered around 8.30-9 PM and I had nothing to worry about. Hours later the package never arrived, tracking hasn't updated. No new information and now they're closed for the weekend. My question is, How in the world does my package get sent from Thailand to the HUB faster than the HUB can delivery the package to my residence. I've seen nothing but bad reviews about this place. I pay for express shipping and its for nothing. Its not DHL as a whole Its mainly this location in Hazelwood MO that i'm having issues with. I don't recommend using DHL in the future if your from around here. They are very unreliable source as a mail courier. Horrible service from DHL. They take forever to get packages where they are going. Packages sit in trucks for days at a time until dhl gets around to getting them where they need to go. I have been waiting for a case of masks from Hong Kong. Took long enough to get shipped from China, but getting it to me once it was in country was worse. It has been in your facility in Hazelwood for almost a week now but still not delivered. Your tracking system, which I check at least twice daily, simply says "On Hold". I called earlier on Wednesday and after being on hold for a good half hour was promised delivery next day, Thursday. It is now Friday evening and still no delivery. I just hung up with Customer Service, again after a good half hour on hold, who once again promises me delivery tomorrow, Saturday. I'd like to believe that. I was offered the opportunity to pick it up but declined since I paid well over $500 (easily 2 or 3 times normal cost). For that amount I expect it delivered. If I could give you zero stars I would. omg. if i could leave a 0 star review, i would. if you're thinking about doing business with DHL... DONT. i've only ever had horrible experiences with them. this is my 2nd and last time doing business. the first time, i ordered from a website online (from the us) thinking it'll ship either through ups or usps but it shipped through dhl. they didn't deliver my package until 2 months later. RECENTLY, ordered a package, and they were suppose to deliver my item TODAY. i did not get a notification or an email or a phone call for "out for delivery" "driver on the way" even though i did opt into that option. however, when i went on the tracking website. it said "delivery attempt failed"... i have cameras in my home and my windows face to the street. i was waiting ALL DAY in my living room for my package. i have views of the street where my typical mailman and amazon delivery drivers drop my packages off. NO DHL TRUCK NOR PERSON EVEN CAME TO MY STREET! i rechecked my home surveillance cameras to match the time of "failed delivery", & nope, nobody on the street or curb of my house to "deliver" anything! then, when i tried to contact DHL, customer service was horrible! could barely get anyone on live chat nor on the phone. and when i could, they responded like idiots! i even asked to switch delivery to pick up so i could get it myself but they told me that wasn't an option??? but then later on in the phone call said i could pick it up but there will be a charge?? i paid for express shipping. this is really horrible customer service. would NOT recommend DHL! read more

The package I was due to receive was guaranteed delivery on Tuesday by end of day. The package was "on hold" from Tuesday morning at 0749. And the package continued to be "on hold" till I finally had to call about it and go pick it up myself Thursday morning. I spoke with the manager and the only explanation he could offer was the driver left it behind. I'm sorry, but for two days? What a lack of utter disregard to a business contract and a disgrace to appropriately provide clients with their property. BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING! I just wasted four hours trying to ship a package at the DHL Hazelwood office. My customer requested DHL shipping. I got a quote on their website, and executed the transaction. DHL have one location in St. Louis for non-pre-paid packages, and it is 40 miles from me. I drove up there with the product to go into their cardboard envelope, filled out the paperwork, and they wanted 21% more than the website quote. They refused my request to access to their website to show them, and I was forced to go home and print out the evidence. I did so, returned, and presented that evidence to them. THEY STILL REFUSED TO HONOR THE PRICE QUOTED ON THEIR WEBSITE! And I am out 120 miles of driving, half a day, and still do not have the package shipped. I will never do business with DHL. I now understand how they earned their bad reputation. read more

I have never in my life dealt with such a shady company. My package was apparently delivered on Monday July 23rd at 12:46, when I got home from work there was no package so I immediately called DHL and the man on the phone stated he would get in touch with the delivery driver and he would get back to me at the latest 10 am the next day. Meanless to say the next day roles around and no one has contacted me and this package is a BRIDESMAID DRESS FOR A WEDDING!!! I then made it a priority to drive up to the hazelwood Missouri location where I spoke to Chris who personally told me the guy was tracked at an address that was not mine at the time my package was delivered. She then stated that most of their delivery guys don't even look if the house is the correct address when delivering a package. I then spoke to manager Kevin who told me he reassured with the delivery guy that my package was put on my front porch, which it was not. He then tried to blame it on my neighbors that they could have stole the package and both of my neighbors are very elderly people who would never do such a thing. He then proceeded to ask me what he could do to make this better and I told him to FIND MY PACKAGE. I still have no package and I have now disputed the charges with my bank as DHL will not refund my money for the package that was lost due to the delivery man who can't fulfill his job and was careless with his work. I am now out of a dress for a wedding that is coming up. I asked dhl what they would like me to tell the bride who is getting married and they stated to me" I have no answer for that" I would NEVER suggest this company to anyone. I wouldn't even rate this company on a scale from 1-10, they are that terrible.
