Seafood Pasta
Irving Z.

Interior and outdoors balcony were really nice. Tons of people in line and about a 20-30 minute wait during peak dinner hours. The food looks incredible with how it's presented and it's also very tasty. Wish the pasta was homemade or something more elevated, the spaghetti itself might've been Barilla.

Place with a big potencial, but unfortunately it was disappointment. Place is located next to the sea and promenade. Staff is frendly but VERY BUSSY. Food came very fast, but all in big rush. Carpaccio was with no flavor, just meat with artichokes and cheese, even adding salt and peper nothing changed. Coctails are only 3 in all menu. But portions ar quite big and that is nice. Food was fresh and well cooked, but something was missing.. was good, but could me MUCH BETTER.

Di Più is situated in a very great location along the ocean. We sat out on their patio on a beautiful and sunny day--the atmosphere of their outside dining is really something special. For this reason, I had high hopes for the food. I ordered spaghetti with lobster. The food overall was okay. From a taste standpoint, I didn't experience anything special as the pasta was more on the bland side. In addition, I personally didn't care for having to pull the meat out of the lobster myself. I understand that plating in this way showcases the freshness and quality, but I wasn't a fan personally--especially at the price point they are charging. That said, I do really have nothing but great things to say about the location and atmosphere. There's not much else better than sitting outside on a perfect day and enjoying some wine & food. Just don't expect to be blown away from a culinary standpoint.

We came here for lunch after being recommended by the hotel staff. We were seated right away. Please be aware that the portion at this restaurant are humongous. We were told that it is considered rude to pack a doggy bag and we let go off our food. It was unreal how much food was going waste. My black ink spaghetti with octopus was okay. It was tad bit chewy for my liking. Lasagna was so huge, we barely could eat 1/4 of it. Pasta with peas and eggs, had like runny eggs for sauce which wasn't really upto my liking. Maybe bad choices with the order but none of our food was what I would call good. Sorry!

We stopped by for dinner at Di Piu from a recommendation while in Nice. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the outdoor seating is right off of Promenade de Anglais. We waited about 5 mins or so before being seated. However waited close to 15 min or so before we had any one approach our table. Once we were taken care of, we ordered the tuna and avocado tartar (5/5), the Di piu rigatoni (5/5), and the black spaghetti and the octopus (4/5). I would recommend this restaurant in Nice.

Great location across from the Sea.. the place gets busy so arriving a few minutes before they open for dinner helps (7pm).. the portions are large can split a meal.. the rigatoni is very large. I went two times on my visit to Nice Food - good Service - good Atmosphere- good

The Buffalo Pizza--split between two, and it was more than enough!

Delicious food--unbelievably big sizes!! My friend ordered the lasagna and it was family-sized. It was all out so quickly too. The waitress spoke mainly Italian, but we were able to get-by by speaking in (poor) French. Reasonable prices, with the huge pizza being only 14€. We came as soon as it opened, and were able to be seated without a reservation with a party of six. There's only one somewhat busy street between you and the beach here, so I would say the atmosphere was still very nice. Would definitely come again!

Calamari and giant prawn

Coming on a direct flight from Rome, it was somewhat unexpected to be continuing to eat Italian food. However, Di Piu was highly recommended by a local Uber driver and we ended up here. FRESH FRESH FRESH. They really do have some extremely fresh sea food, most of the preparations are relatively simple too, just lemon juice, pepper and a bit of salt. TRENDY OUTDOOR SEATING. They have a really nice veranda with closely packed tables, great music and separated from the ocean by a small road. The place was hopping on a Monday night, but the wait was only 5 minutes. LIKED THE CALAMARI. Notice, I don't say loved, it was fresh, but nothing extraordinary on the preparation front. Service was mediocre, our waiter disappeared a lot. Anyways, I'd recommend this spot. It's simple, good, fresh food priced fairly and with a nice ambiance.

Truffle gnocchi in a frying pan

They don't take reservations but waiting on line wasn't too bad, as we waited about 30-40 min. The portions are enormous here so keep that in mind when ordering. We had the truffle gnocchi, which arrived at our table in a frying pan! We also shared the grilled octopus and the penne with tomato, mozzarella, and basil. We couldn't finish it all but everything was delicious! I had a glass of rosé from Provence which was super affordable compared to NY standards. We sat outside in a lively atmosphere. Service was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Dinner we had in a Patio setting with view to the famous The Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France. The Restaurant was an excellent choice for a healthy Fish Dinner and Veggies. The only thing bothersome was the large number of smoker guests. We realized immediately that in Europe smoking is permitted in the outdoor Restaurants. The staff were wonderful and our meal & ambiance were perfect.

As my family and I were walking across the Promenade, Di Più stood out from all the other restaurants, it was gorgeous, modern, and bright. It had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. For appetizers we ordered the anti pasta, I think the ideal amount of people for the anti pasta would be four or more, depending on how much you eat. For entrees, the portions were bigger than any other place I have ever eaten at before. I would suggest to get the lamb with the ratatouille. It was one of the best lamb chops I have ever had. I suggest that if you like to drink wine, order a bottle it is much reasonable than just getting a glass or two. Although the food was great, I feel like service could have better. As Americans we are use to having quick service but here, be ready for long wait to even get your drinks. Overall I would love to come back to Di Più.

You must make a reservation to ear here during the summer months. Was very busy but good. The portions are large so you may want to split.

The highlight was the local figs, feta and heirloom tomato appetizer. All 3 were amazing, and he covered them in a delicious black-olive olive oil that really came through in a fantastic way. We also got a delicious pesto pasta with homemade pasta and (you guessed it) high end olive oil. This was quite good as well. The owner was extremely kind, the service was fast and pleasant, and he truly looked to enjoy sharing his craft. Pesto spaghetti was cooked perfectly and had a mild flavor. Tiramisu was probably one of the best I have ever had, even better with the olive oil. The olive oil itself was a standout addition. Service- Nadim (owner) was lively and very attentive. A Nice Old Town celebrity chef :) Ambiance- Italian hole in the wall. I would highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to returning. Very small menu and you must make reservations in advance as the place only sits around 10 people. Open for lunch. Euro only.

Make reservations ahead of time (it's easy to do online) because this place will fill up for dinner. They have 4 appetizers to choose from, about 5-6 entrees and about 7-8 desserts to choose from, and the prices are reasonable for dinner: 24€ for plat + entree or plat + dessert, and 29€ for the 3 courses. Entrées: - Velouté de topinambour / Jerusalem artichoke soup - This soup was super, super creamy and buttery. I don't want to know how much cream and/or they put in here - it was good, but very rich. There was a piece or two of bacon, and the soup was tasty. - Trilogie de betteraves / Beets cooked three ways - I was looking for something healthier to eat, and was happy this was on the menu. I wasn't sure what to expect with this dish, other than it was beets cooked three ways. There was one little dish of beet salad with green onions or scallions, a small beet poached or roasted, and a beet purée that went well with the bread. I would recommend this appetizer if you want something on the lighter/healthier side and different. Plats: - Risotto with asparagus and tomatoes - My husband ordered this and it was good but not outstanding. He added the 2 pieces of seared foie gras for 5€ which made the dish better; I think it would have been a bit bland without the foie. The asparagus was very fresh and the risotto was on the lighter side which was nice. - Salmon with Cajun seasoning and leeks - This was different than what you'd normally find in a French restaurant since I've never seen Cajun spiced things before. The salmon was a little on the small side, but it was still good and the caramelized leeks on the side were a really perfect compliment. This dish was tasty and really good, but just a bit on the smaller side compared to all the other main dishes that were meat-based (from what I saw other diners getting) We were full so we skipped dessert, but it looked pretty good - they had things like a chocolate lava cake, a praline crème brûlée, spéculos tiramisu, and financier with a passion fruit center. Overall, a good meal that won't break the bank and that has a good selection of things on the menu. More heavier " comfort food " than lighter fare, and slightly less traditional French. The ambiance was very casual - it almost felt like you were eating in a graffiti park with dim lighting and metal walls, but overall, we had a decent meal at a reasonable price. The waiters here all spoke English well and it seemed most of the clientele were tourists.

We ordered the octopus salad and it was a very generous portion with an incredibly fresh tasting grilled octopus. It was a perfect size to share or you could have it as a light entree. We were seated right away and had a nice bread bowl with oil and balsamic vinegar to start as well as drink orders placed. This is not the place to order drinks but they do have quite a few non alcoholic drink options -juices, soda, etc. Overall I'd highly recommend checking this place out for lunch or dinner.

I ordered the sole, which was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. My friend had what they described as a clam linguini (which was actually more of a spaghetti). I tried some, and we both agreed that the dish came up short because it was missing something - maybe garlic? Despite the lack of favor in my friend's dish, but entrées portions were very generous, and our server recommended a very nice bottle of local red wine which we both very much enjoyed. We also shared a plate of specialty ham, which unfortunately was way too salty for either of us to have more than a few bites. Bottom line: Exceptional service and great prices. We enjoyed our visit enough that we might give them another try the next time we find ourselves in Nice.
