I moved to this practice after my dentist dropped Delta insurance coverage, and because it was close to my house. Dr. Wang was the first dentist to recommend I replace most of my existing metal fillings. I have never had pain in my teeth, but he was adamant the fillings were on their last legs and it would be a good long-term investment. I was a little apprehensive because he looked so young and didn't give me much confidence when he spoke, but I ended up giving him the green light. Immediately after he replaced the fillings, I had pain in all of those teeth and it would not subside, some of it excrutiating when chewing anything. I went back to their office several times over the course of several months regarding the pain and Dr. Wang would tell me my bite must be off, and kept shaving my teeth down, further and further. This was very obviously not the problem, and he eventually referred me to an endodontist (root canal specialist). The endodontist determined all 5(?) of the teeth must have micro-fractures in them from the procedures, and recommended root canals be performed in at least 3 of those teeth. The first, expensive and unpleasant, root canal only dulled the pain, and a second root canal was performed on the same tooth, but to no avail. I obtained a second opinion from a more experienced dental practice, and they were certain the fillings were done improperly and needed to be redone entirely. My insurance policy will not cover these procedures because they were "already performed recently," despite all of the problems resulting from Dr. Wang's incompetence. The dentist also said my remaining metal filling(s) looked fantastic and that the others very likely did not need to be replaced to begin with. So now after roughly 8 months have passed and a great deal of money spent, I am still in pain and unable to enjoy a meal, must avoid crunchy foods entirely, and must pay thousands more to correct the damage that was done by Dr. Wang. I do plan on filing a complaint with the DBC, and have not ruled out making an attempt to collect damages just to pay for the corrective work. Do yourself a big favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. read more

Dr. Wang took is time during the exam and the hygienist Kristin really did a detail cleaning she ended up finding something that wasn't showing up on the X-rays and we took care of it. There are three reasons not to see this dentist. 1) They make poor crowns completely ignoring function, health of tooth, and aesthetics. You will end up large chunky crowns that feel like wads of gum that don't match your other teeth and will give you problems that you need to get fixed by someone else. They put in a large crown that ended up giving me radiating pain across my entire head and needed to be adjusted by a different dentist. 2) Their front desk lies about getting emails and would not release records to a new dentist. They then ignored phone calls and multiple follow ups. I called them 8 times, and they didn't send the records in time for my appointment. Diablo Creek Dentistry provided me excellent and professional service. Upon arrival, Kelly was courteous and knowledgeable. She helped me utilize their iPad to fill in my forms (I forgot to fill them out beforehand online, but that is also an option). At the end of my appointment she worked with me to view the differing prices of my dental work options (crowns versus invisalign and more fillings). I kept being indecisive and she was kind and helpful the entire time. Dr. Sahota is my dentist. He is there Mondays and Tuesdays and I highly recommend him. He was quick but thorough. It was a painless experience and his sense of humor definitely helped to ease my nerves. Best dental experiences I ever had!! Every time I come in it is always such a memorable and delightful experience! I saw Kristin for my second bi-yearly dental cleaning and she was awesome! Very energetic, sweet, and patient. Never thought getting a cleaning could be, well, fun! Kristin was very informative and gave me tips on how I can improve on my brushing techniques + how not to damage my gums (I tend to brush aggressively). Afterwords the doctor saw me to do a quick follow up and proposed solutions for all of my concerns. I also really like that the doctor noted that one of my fillings should be monitored over the next few years. I never had a doctor actually note down and track a tooth! Definitely makes me feel that my teeth are in good hands! In addition really enjoy getting personalized cards in the mail from the doctor and the hygienists. I love hand written letters, so definitely appreciate and enjoy the personable touch! Lastly, I always grab their free chapstick on my way out of the office. First off, I would like to thank Dr. Muir and Leah (Dental Hygienist) from the bottom of my heart for catching an infection that could have spread and caused much damage.
