Came here again during April, 2026. I stand firm on my opinion that this is the best restaurant in the Luxor (and if you include the Excalibur next door, this is the best of those two properties). We stopped by the Luxor hotel while exploring the king tut exhibit ( highly recommend very fun and educational) . I had gotten a margarita at the hotel and was feeling Mexican which is perfect because in the Luxor hotel they have diablos cantina . We got greeting and seated immediately, and our hostess came quickly to take our orders . On Tuesdays they offered a special taco Tuesday offer for 2 tacos and a beer . However I decided to order the chips and salsa ( $3) and the chicken burrito . The chicken burrito also came with rice and beans ! The portions were large and very filling and affordable prices . Our last night in Vegas we had dinner at our hotel. Diablos was an easy option. They have tv around the bar so the boys were able to watch the basketball game. We started with chips and salsa, a corona and a house margarita. For dinner both of my boys got a cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and beans. They enjoyed their meal. My husband got their chicken taquitos, he said they were great. I ordered their southwest baja southwest salad with chicken. This salad was ok. My salad was the most expensive item on our bill which was surprising. The croutons reminded me of the croutons you get inside of a salad kit from the grocery store. I've always wanted to try this place, so we decided to give it a try. We got chicken tacos and fish tacos. The chicken ones were pretty good, but the fish ones were barely edible. Wasn't even hot and tasted like the fish had been sitting around for a long time. Sadly this experience turned me off of going back. read more

The vibe here is great and a perfect place to eat before a show. We had tickets to Blue Man Group so I was right across from the box office. Good is reasonably priced for Vegas. Ordered and the food was better than your average Mexican food but watch out for the green sauce it is really hot and many items have cilantro. Even if you ask for no cilantro many dishes like mine still come out with it on top. I would not recommend this place if you have allergies. Fully accessible and a great vibe. The margaritas are excellent! A full bar and Cara pie wait staff was very accommodating, and professional. I would come back if I needed a quick meal before a show. read more

I was really disappointed with the pozole. It didn't taste like pozole at all--it tasted more like chicken tinga with hominy added to make it look like pozole. The broth lacked the traditional flavor, and I had to ask for extra lemon, onion, and chile just to make it somewhat enjoyable. Instead of providing chile, they brought out Tabasco sauce, which is not something that complements pozole. As you can see from the photo, it wasn't very appetizing either. I definitely won't be coming back here the next time I'm in Las Vegas. Save your money and find a place that serves authentic pozole instead. This place exceeded expectations from the reviews. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and this was just a quick walk away. I got the 3 enchiladas. Superb. The chicken was my favorite. Followed by the shredded beef. I will say I didn't care for the shrimp. It taste like just shrimp and cheese. Partner got the 3 carne asada tacos. I liked it and said was very filling. The food is always solid here as are the margaritas and it's the perfect spot to watch sports with all the TVs around the bar (that you can also see from your table) Located on the upper mezzanine level of Luxor hotel here are Huissongs Cantina have good Mexican food this side of the South strip. A five star restaurant inside of the Luxor? This is one of the best Mexican restaurants that I've ever been to. The food was extremely tasty and the portions are huge. Service was great, and the food comes out super quickly too. Let the photo speak for itself. The glazed salmon was to die for. Fiance loved his pork carnitas skillet. So much food he couldn't even finish. We also asked for some "spicy" salsa on the side and they offered us something called Reaper salsa. This thing was HOT! Which was amazing. I was excited to try Diablo's Cantina and I guess there's a reason it wasn't crazy busy on a Saturday night. It was easy to snag a spot at the bar and most of the seating was pretty open. The drinks weren't that great. I started with a margarita and it was basic AF. Nothing special and not even that good. Tasted like I mixed Mr and Mrs. T's mix with some garbage tequila at home. I pity the fool who expects more from the illustrious Luxor hotel. Similarly, the Mezcal Old Fashioned was poorly done. Just a muddle cherry with some mezcal... no complexity or anything... blah... The shrimp quesadilla was pretty good and is the only reason this is 3 stars instead of 2. After a mixup with bringing shrimp enchiladas, the quesadilla came out in about 3 minutes. It seemed pretty fast for a re-do but again, it wasn't that busy. The beans were good but the rice had those hard rice bits mixed in like it was just sitting in a heated container too long and not fresh. At least I HOPE they were crunch rice bits... and not toenails. I'd probably hit up Hussong's if I wanted Mexican food here again. The other options at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place are better than here (Slice, Irish Bar, etc.). The restaurant choices at Luxor in general are lacking though. So if you end up here due to convenience, I hope your experience is better than mine. read more

We met our friends here for dinner before we go watch them play. It was actually a really cool atmosphere the name well I didn't choose it lol. They had a lot of really cool decor around, beautiful murals, to match the name of the place which I thought was really neat. We got seated pretty quickly, there were six of us. We all ordered something different. Chips and salsa for the table of course. The Carnitas hot skillet plate, which was scrumptious, they give a generous amount of food as well. Everyone ordered drinks and different food, but I unfortunately did not take pictures of everybody's food. Everyone really enjoyed it, the food was good. The surf was good. The atmosphere was fun and the music made me dance a little in my chair lol. Our server Alma was amazing, she was very friendly and got our orders to us quickly. I would come back here to eat again. I enjoyed their food but when you're in Vegas, you wanna go everywhere and try all the different food. Tried to give this place a second try since I came back to Vegas and staying here. Again hostess is MIA and then totally ignores me. No greeting, no acknowledgment I even exist. Ordered fajitas to take back to the room. After I get back, I have zero tortillas and no guacamole that comes with it. Have to go back, and I'm disabled and it's difficult, just to encounter the rude blonde bartender with black glasses. Yes I'm irritated because my food is sitting in my room getting cold now and I had to go back while in pain. She gives me a snarky fake high pitched voice, I guess that's what she considers customer service. No apology for the mess up, just rudeness with a fake guise of being "polite" . This place always gets my order wrong every time. And the fajitas veggies are so over cooked they were mush and just break apart. Also the place should pack the rice and beans separately, as that's how you get it at the restaurant. The juices from the soggy veggies ruined the rice. And they put the shredded lettuce for the fajitas all under the rice. Seriously??? The only positive is the steak being cooked perfectly. Manager needs to do something about this. read more

I really don't do these negative types of reviews but my experience was too horrible to not share. For starters, the food was mediocre. As a Hispanic individual, I can tell between good authentic food and fast processed food. Between my date and myself, we had 3 tacos ($30), enchiladas de pollo ($25), two palomos ($15 each) and two sodas. Our total was about $95. I understand Vegas prices but the food and drinks were HORRIBLE. The Paloma had no flavor and was a yellow-ish color that was undrinkable. After we finished eating, I was ready to pay and the server continued to pressure for a card tip. I informed her I would be tipping in cash and gave her $10 cash. The server named Alma, laughed at my face and said "this is my lucky tip now where is my real tip?" For them to be labeled as a "cantina," the ambiance was low. There was no music playing and the waitress and food is definitely not worth anyone's time. Very disappointed in this location. read more
