Wednesday, 4-01-2026: So sorry this is overdue. We saw this restaurant when we saw the Mat Franco show and decided to try it out. There are 2 ways to enter/exit: within the Linq Hotel or via the Promenade. We entered through the Promenade and some of the outdoor seating looked full. We were taken way to the back more so on the Linq side & seated in a table for two. The table arrangement was awkward as the tables for two were close to each other that you could literally have a conversation easily with either table to your left & right. The decor was culturally influenced predicated upon Mexico's Day of the Dead. It was very interesting. Our waitress, Briana, was great & served up superb customer service. My husband had the Caesar Salad and I partook of a tasty Chicken Tortilla Soup. My soup was hot & delicious with the right amount of heat. Hubby enjoyed his salad. Their chips & salsa were complimentary and hit the spot. We enjoyed our food but table seating was strange. We'd go back if in Vegas again. read more

I would rate this 0 if I could. My friend was trying to get in this weekend and was told he was not allowed in because his button up didn't have sleeves. Mind you, many other people were let in with similar outfits. My friend buys a new shirt, is let in reluctantly. Then, we had an issue with security not wanting him leaning on the bar. He stops and steps a bit away so we can continue dancing. Security returns and says he can't be near the bar if he's not ordering- so my friend offers to order a drink. Security says he can't order and can't be near the bar. My friend tried to follow the rules every step of the way - down to offering to order a drink despite no one even being near the bar and us not even being in the way. He goes back and forth with security regarding what he was doing wrong and why he couldn't order a drink. He was ultimately threatened saying they could take it outside, so we left. This all felt extremely targeted and homophobic. When we asked for a manager they declined and said there was no reason to speak to one. Will not be back. I'd warn anyone from the LGBTQ community to avoid this place as well. And to chayo - do better. read more

I honestly can't believe I spent almost $100 on four tacos, a water bottle, and three drinks. For that kind of money, I expected amazing food and great service, but this place completely missed the mark. The tacos were underwhelming, portions felt small, and the meat quality honestly didn't compare to taco spots I've been to that charge a fraction of the price. I've had dollar tacos that tasted better and gave more food. What made the experience worse was the service. I waited about 15-20 minutes just to place my order because it felt like regulars were getting priority over everyone else. The whole atmosphere felt off and unwelcoming. Quite surprisingly my meal at Chayo Mexican Kitchen, my last night in Vegas, was probably my favorite meal during my visit. The location is nice, the service was good, and the food was excellent. I had the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, which came with Mexican rice and refried beans. The platter was really small but it actually filled me up. The lamb was tender, juicy, and flavorful. My wife had the Chicken enchiladas. She isn't a big eater so I was shocked to see her plate was completely empty! She also had the red sangria which she said was good as well. read more

We were walking through The LINQ in Las Vegas and ended up stopping here and I have to say, the location alone is a win. It's right in the middle of all the action, perfect for people-watching, especially if you grab a seat outside like we did. First impressions? Really solid. Super helpful with recommendations for drinks and appetizers, which we really appreciated. The menu is extensive like, you've got options in every direction so having some guidance definitely helped. We started with their guac and chips, and I'll give credit where it's due: fresh, flavorful, and a strong start. The salsas? Also impressive. They had multiple options, and every single one delivered. That raised my expectations going into the main course. For my entrée, I went with the Quesa Birria... and unfortunately, this is where things fell off for me. The tortilla wasn't crispy like it should be, and overall it just lacked flavor. No richness, no depth it just didn't hit. Even the cheese, which usually carries a dish like this, didn't bring it together. On top of that, the rice and beans came out cold, which didn't help the experience. So overall great location, great vibes, excellent service, and a strong start with the apps and salsas... but my main dish missed the mark. This place is for the birds! Seriously... There is several types of birds that are just walking around waiting for you to drop a crumb. It's really quite unnerving so if you don't like birds flying around you and pooping on you then I would suggest you sit inside. it was a nice day and we wanted to sit outside. We'd already been outside so we just stayed there but yeah... It was a little unnerving order the shrimp and mango ceviche... During our visit from Chicago, we were drawn to this upscale Mexican restaurant, enticed by its modern and chic ambiance adorned with gothic elements and vibrant Day of the Dead decor featuring sugar skulls. We anticipated an exceptional dining experience given the setting and the bill of around $240 for our party of six. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. While the atmosphere was impressive, the service left much to be desired. I ordered a 32oz piña colada, but was served a smaller size garnished with lime instead of pineapple, which was rather odd. When I attempted to clarify my order, the waitress quickly moved on to the next customer, leaving me feeling overlooked. My drink arrived a good ten minutes after everyone else's, and to add to the confusion, I requested plain quesadillas for my son, only to receive the wrong dish. This misstep meant we had to wait for his meal, disrupting our family's dining experience. It felt as though the waitress was either rushing through our order or simply disengaged from providing attentive service. Additionally, the food portions were smaller than expected. What appeared to be a dish barely larger than a small pastry plate was served with both rice and beans, leaving us wanting more. While the food itself wasn't terrible, the lack of attentive service made the overall experience feel overpriced for what was ultimately mediocre cuisine. read more

This was a solid option, unlike what typically comes out after eating Mexican. While visiting the Linq Promenade (I think that's what it's called). The House Margarita was good, but a little small if you ask me. The Shrimp Tacos were great with grilled shrimp (waiter's suggestion) and I'm glad I got them as I wasn't in the mood for fried stuff. BTW, Ubering to here is such a F'ing nightmare. I don't think that's Chayo's problem, but there has to be a better way to get here besides the terrible spots nearby. Patio seating was great, but don't snooze on the casual elegance of indoors or the 2nd floor patio with good views. Came here for dinner before the big BSB show and it was mid. There wasn't anyone at the hostess desk and finally someone came around asking us what we wanted - uh, to eat here lol. We were given a table outside that was in the path of wait staff and other guests going inside. I don't think it was in the right spot but no one bothered to move it either. Eventually we got menus and had to flag someone down to take our order. Our drinks were running out with no refills and we eventually flagged someone to ask about our food and were told our table didn't have wait staff assigned. Wtf? Someone brought out our food and then also said "sorry, no one knew who the food was for." WTF again. Food was cold and barely edible. I'm not sure what we did to these people but the experience was horrendous. I'll never be back. Not sure why we paid to be ignored. read more

Chayo is located in the Linq Promenade - you can access it by going through the Linq hotel lobby or from the Promenade itself. I like the ambiance - half of the restaurant is outside so you can people watch and they have some music playing which is also nice. The server was okay - she didnt make any recommendations for drinks or food so I went with the chips and salsa, the shrimp and crab enchiladas and a watermelon margarita. The chips an salsa were actually really good and filling! I love when chips have seasoning on them. The two salsas they give you, one red and one green were also very good. Red is SPICY! My watermelon margarita was good and strong for what it was worth. I found it interested that the rim wasn't covered in salt or sugar even though I didn't ask for that to be taken off. The food though it was good - I simply couldn't taste the crab or shrimp in my enchilada - it tasted more like a cheese enchilada. The rice and beans were my favorite and the picked carrots. The rice had a sweetness to it was not expecting which was nice. All in all, for a $30 plate I was not impressed enough to come back. The drink was probably about $15 and that was worth it! 3 stars for the drink, chips and salsa and ambiance. read more

Big place, easy to get to with a great patio. The hostess and server were very nice. I made reservation for us at 6p for 6 of us. The place wasn't very crowded and our server was attentive at first but when it came to any after drink orders like refills and the bill, she took forever. She told us she'd get our bill then disappeared for another 30 mins. I went to the host stand to ask someone for our bills and she said she'd get our server. That wasn't helpful. The food was fine for what it was. I shared a plate of carnitas tacos and street corn with my husband. We ordered a guac starter for the table. The starters came out by a food runner but no chips. We had to wait for her to bring chips. Chips and salsa are not for the table. You have to order and pay for it. The dip trio is pricy and tiny cups. The carnitas had a great flavor but were in chucks which was surprising. Great spot but fell short. We were really looking forward to a good dinner before the show at The Sphere. We celebrated our ten year anniversary in Vegas and I made reservations at Chayo over 6 months ago. We wanted to be outside on the second floor terrace, for a party of nine. We went by the restaurant the day of, and the hostess was not very helpful. I was nervous. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager, and got disconnected four times before I actually got to a manager, Tammy. The weather outside wasn't great, it was really windy and looked like it was going to rain, and she explained to me that the terrace was not open that night. I was very disappointed. She told me she could set us up at a table in the back of the restaurant, and listened to all my requests. When our party arrived, they were seated right away, and Tammy made sure that they had chips and salsa, guacamole and drinks. We got there about ten minutes later, and Tammy took great care of us. She was attentive and when it was time for her to go, she introduced me to Dre, the night manager, who also took great care of us. Our server, Matt, was totally on it and made sure we always had drinks and chips and salsa. Super nice guy. The food was delicious! I had the sweet corn enchiladas and my husband had the shrimp and crab enchiladas, delicious! The guacamole was great too. We loved the ambience also. read more
