Pierre is awesome and a joy to talk, work, and bargain with! I was on the hunt for a pre-owned luxury watch and decided to visit Pierre's shop. I wish I went here first instead of wasting my time at other stores. Pierre educated me on Rolex, showed me dial options, and we essentially designed my first Rolex right there! He works with many other dealers and is able to find you exactly what you are looking for.

I went here to have a good rope chain tested so that I could sell it personally to a buyer that met me at the shop. The owner Pierre was super friendly, and not only did he test and verify that my chain was real, he weighed it and even checked the price of gold for the day and advised my buyer that he was getting a good deal. He also offered wholesale prices on gold pieces if I need to purchase something in the future. His price for testing the item for the buyer was fair as well! Great customer service! I'm sure I'll use them again in the future! Thanks!

I recently moved to Orange County and was searching for a local watch repair service. I drove by Diamond and Jewelry Exchange a couple times and noticed a sign in the window stating "Watch Repairs and Battery Replacement." Next time I was in the neighborhood I brought a watch in for battery replacement and was greeted by the owner Pierre, a genuinely friendly and very knowledgeable, experienced GIA certified gemologist. Pierre meticulously cleaned my watch, replaced the battery, and educated me on how to care for this particular type of watch. His pricing is more reasonable than I expected, and it was actually a fun, pleasant visit. I will be back to see Pierre for additional jewelry repairs and purchases. Diamond And Jewelry Exchange was established in 1987 by the Maalouf family. The owner, Pierre, prides himself in the wonderful business he's created. Our first location on 653 W 19th St in Costa Mesa. In 2014, we moved our location to 1808 Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa. We thank our wonderful loyal customers for their continued loyalty throughout the years and look forward to the many new faces of our future!

One of my favorite pieces has always been the Opalite necklace. Over the years I've probably purchased at least five of them. At the time they were around $25, and now they're listed at $48 on the website. Unfortunately, the most recent one I purchased broke within a week or two. I stopped by the shop today to ask if there was anything they could do--whether that meant repairing it or offering a small discount toward a replacement. Nothing was offered, and the interaction I had (I believe with May Martin's mother) felt dismissive and uncomfortable. I was told the necklaces looked tarnished and was lectured about how to care for them. In reality, they had been sitting in a drawer for a year or two because I wasn't sure what to do after the chain broke. I understand that things can break and that policies vary, but customer service matters. Even a simple apology or a small gesture--like a repair option or a 5-10% discount--would have gone a long way toward creating a better experience. I rarely leave reviews, but my jewelry was kept by the owner of this store, and I need to leave a review for your awareness. Last Tuesday, I came to this store trying to sell some of my jewelry. I gave my necklace, bracelet, and a ring all set with diamonds to the owner so that he could weigh it on the scale. The owner said that he didn't like my ring with the small diamonds, but he offered on the necklace and bracelet set, but I turned his offer down. I was busy organizing my other jewelry on the table and didn't pay attention to the scale on the right side. He gave me back my necklace and bracelet. However, he didn't give back my ring, but I found out later after I had left the store, so last Thursday I came back to the store and asked for the ring. The owner likely knew what I came back for; he was unfriendly and ignored me and asked me to wait as he was busy with his customers. After he was done with his customers, he blindly said that I didn't give him any ring and he didn't even look for it. He talked over me rude and didn't want to listen to whatever I said. I then called police to come and asked them to check the camera recordings, but the store owner said that he couldn't do it as it's too complicated for him to do it. I'm devastated, and this just isn't right. My reviews were removed several times on google and I guess the owner had something to do with it and so other reviews too. I initially was trying to say nicely on my reviews. I agree with other reviews said that owner being rude and bullying a young girl like me. In summary, as if you buy jewelry or have any service with owner which paid him money and gave benefits to him, he will act nicely to get your money. As if you don't give him any deal or service, should be careful that he will be his real person that you can't imagine...and in my situation...he kept my ring. Not recommend to deal this fake owner being rude, greedy, loudly, uncontrollable, unprofessional. Otherwise, Watch out for your jewelry and be prepared to deal with the owner if any issue come up. I found this store through a friend, it's not a huge location, but there is definitely quite a selection of treasure to be found here! I was looking for an engagement ring for my (then) fiancé and the owner, Pierre, helped me step by step to choose the perfect ring. He had a wide variety of settings and center stones to choose from, and told me I could custom create a ring if I wasn't in a rush. The ring I went with is beautiful and my (now) wife loves it! The center stone has great clarity, great color, and full is of "fire!" Pierre gave me a wonderful deal, one that no other jewelry store could beat. I went here after going to a few other stores to try and sell some old jewelry, he ended up giving me the highest price out of the other four shops I went to. I was very pleased with what I got for my old pieces. I also ended up checking out some new watches he had in stock and found a very beautiful Rolex for a birthday gift at a good price. He had a wide selection and told me he could get whatever I wanted. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! He works with you, to make sure you leave happy. Pierre is the best. Came in to replace the battery in my watch. Turns out the old battery acid leaked into the movement and needed a couple days to fix. Pierre called me two HOURS later that it was finished. He even polished it for me too. Great service overall and fair pricing. I won't go anywhere else.
