Overall I'd give it a 4.5 star service for the delivery service. My siblings and I used this florist to send my mother flowers for Mother's Day at her job. It arrived before her work day ended. I'd say the value is pretty solid, there is a delivery fee of course but I was pleased with the presentation and so was my mom! Communication-- could be a bit better. I didn't receive a confirmation it delivered other than my mom telling us lol! And the only other "con" was that they spelled my brother and his wife's last name incorrectly despite it being correct on the invoice. I'd use them again! I love that the cost is reasonable whereas other companies charge an arm and a leg and take advantage of the seasons. They were delivered by a charming delivery person but the flowers were several days old; two stems beginning to turn brown. I called and was offered a replacement immediately. The replacement was going to be blush carnations . A few hours later, a dozen small white carnations arrived. From any other florist, I would haven gotten a call beforehand if they had issues fulfilling the order, but I got no call here. I am pretty disappointed in this company. I ordered some roses and lilies for my girlfriend to get delivered to her work. I gave them her name and address and where to deliver. The delivery was made to a receptionist who worked for the building and didn't even know who my girlfriend was so instead of looking for her and giving them to her directly, they just handed it off to someone that looked like they worked for the building. Thats 1 2) I asked can I get notification of the delivery and they said they will send an email to notify me when they got delivered and they never sent one. 3) Whoever wrote the card needs to go back to school. They spelled "Queen" .. Quuen and they destroyed my name on the card after I told them how to spell it twice. You spend alot of money on these flowers and you expect them to get delivered properly and timely and this company failed miserably and to top it off couldnt even get the card correct. My husband ordered me flowers and while the flowers delivered were absolutely beautiful (although not exactly the arrangement he chose), the shop used a clear vase with orange colored water. I'm assuming they did so because it was supposed to come in a red vase, but apparently they didn't have one. The water is more of an orange than red though. My husband and I would have just preferred them use a clear vase instead of trying to color match with the water. If I don't change the water my white followers will probably all turn orange. read more

SCAMMER!! I ordered 2 dozen red roses for my husband's 60th birthday to be sent to his office. I ordered through FTD, and they contract with this florist. I asked my husband to send me a pic of the flowers, and only 1 dozen was sent! I wonder how many times this florist has gotten away with this?? I'm so glad I asked for a pic. I immediately called the florist, and the owner/manager was incredibly rude to me. He said he can't send 2 dozen for what I paid on FTD. He is contracted to send what is ordered, and offered no apology! I notified FTD, who was very apologetic and sent my husband the correct bouquet from another florist. They called this florist while I was on hold and verified that he shorted me a dozen roses. They said he will definitely be penalized for not sending what was ordered. I hope he is no longer contracted with FTD! You cannot cheat people and get away with it! P.S. - Always ask for a pic so you know your recipient got what you paid for! I received flowers to my work and they were very pretty. The reason I am giving them 2 stars is because they had me sign for the flowers but didn't tell me I was also signing for an invisible box of chocolates. I mean, I guess I should have read closely to what I was signing for but you don't make a delivery without knowing what you are delivering. I didn't know I was supposed to receive a box of chocolates until my friend had asked me about them. So I called them and they said there had been a mix up, and that the delivery man would bring me a replacement chocolate. The delivery man did come, but instead of a box of chocolate, he gave a 99 cent chocolate bar. Pretty disappointing. I mean, if you want your business to keep your customers happy, you either give us our money back or make up for the mistake by delivering a large box of chocolates. If you want to order flowers and invisible chocolates, then you should order from Newport Florist. read more
