Shihan works hard testing the kids and running all the tournaments. He is friendly and greets the parents during classes. Ms. Amanda is the rock behind RDK. She takes care of all the logistics. She's very friendly and addresses all your concerns. Sensei Alec motivates, inspires and praises kids for hard work, practice and determination. My son's behavior and focus has improved tremendously and I give all the credit to Sensei Alec, Sensei Shihan, and all the senseis whom have helped my son be a better person today! My son is very hyperactive, can't hold still, and loses focus within minutes. However, after coming to Red Dragon Karate for almost an year now, my son is constantly changing to be a better person. Sensei Alec is very patient and knowledgeable. My son has a lot of respect and listens to sensei Alec more than me where I actually need to yell for my son to even listen to me! I am so glad I decided to bring my son here. All the staff are amazing, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making sure my son is learning as much as he can. It's a life changing event for my son and I highly recommend everyone to check out this dojo if you are looking to sign up for Karate.

When we were deciding on the dojo to join. we did alot of homework and read many reviews of other Dojos. Many of those dojos had several disapponting remarks, But when we came upon A.W.K. we were excited about the possibility. We also spoke to several parents that had their kids coming here. They all said that Steve Wray is one of the best. He is very patient with the kids. His training focuses on hands-on training. I have spoken to Steve on many occasion on his lessons. He is not your typical Martial Arts trainer that goes by a curriculum that was taught to them. He has put together the lessons from his years of training and uses the most effective way that makes the technique work. Lessons learned from White belt all the way to Black Belt. His style is a hybrid style, pulling from Shotokan, Taekwondo, American Kenpo, plus many techniques he has developed himself. His lessons focuses on Sparring techniques and drills. He wants all his students to be able to defend themselves in any situation. He mixes up the lessons with both kicks and hands. He helps the kids build self confidence and control. Before each training class he greets each kid. At the end of the training day, he provides words of wisdom to his students. He is always reminding the students about showing respect and the right way to carry yourself. My kids love the lessons and love coming here.
