But know what did kick ass? The haircut I got from Nate at Mid-Century Barbering. That's right, after finally growing tired of getting hair in my mouth/eyes/shower drain, I decided to act like it was 2015 all over again and cut it (RIP Young Dolph). As you could possibly understand, I was a bit nervous about whom to entrust the duty of cutting my unruly mane, and after extensive Google review seeking, I came across Mid-Century Barbering & Barista - a name which immediately caught my attention, and I'm quite glad it did. After making a same-day booking, I spent a bit of time looking through "medium length haircut" google image results, utterly dismayed at the sheer number of AI images that came up, when I received a courtesy text from Nate letting me know I could come in 10 minutes later than my appointed time because the person ahead of me was running late. I think that pretty indicative of the level of service provided here - he thought enough to let me know ahead of time that things were off schedule rather than letting me show up and sit around doing nothing. When I showed up, Nate shook my hand, greeted me warmly, and listened as I explained what I was looking for out of the cut. He was attentive as I explained some problem areas in my hair (an absolute unit of a cowlick on the crown of my head), and then got to work. The office itself was clean and nicely kept, the conversation was pleasant, and Nate was laser focused on making sure my hair looked great. As I remarked to him during the cut, I really appreciated the attention to detail he was taking with making sure everything looked great. He made a comment that he loves what he does, and I believe it. I'll certainly be back again - will it be in a month? Two months? Another year? Only time will tell. Okay, no it won't, I'm not letting it grow that long again, I will be back soon. But if you're in need of a cut right now and you're on the fence on whether or not to book, I highly recommend that you go ahead and treat yourself to a great cut from Nate.

He's good with the kids, even special needs children. I've seen him with some special needs children, including my own. The patience needed to work with these kids is is short of amazing and Joe is up to the task. To the person complaining that he couldn't find it, I hardly see how your inability to call, ask for directions, or do anything else other than complain is Joe's fault. Be an adult, geez, and it's not like Joe designed them building. To everyone else, I would say if you're looking for a professional barber, give Joe a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I called and texted him to see if there was a problem. 5 minutes go by and he walks around the corner very nonchalantly and acts like nothing happened. Didn't acknowledge him being late. I asked if he received my call or text and he then says confrontationally, "yes but didn't see the reason to respond." We then got into an altercation of me asking why he's always late and doesn't adjust going back and forth. I walked away disappointed and he then follows me to my car so he can cuss me out in front of my car telling me not to tell him how to run his business. I have a dash cam so I have a video of him cussing at me. I said that I no longer wanted to do business with him. Definitely does not know how to run a business or give any type of customer service.
