I was getting my hair cut at dapper barber for a while. Started in Garland with Randy then new guy was Manny. When Manny left I left for a while then started going to the one in Plano. This place has lost its soul. The company used to have an edge and I always walked out with a great hair cut. Now it's a crap shoot me very time. I walked out of here with the 2 worst hair cuts I have ever had and paid double what I paid in the other site. Another thing. Many had me in and out in 30 min. These clo Nansen like 1.5 hours on a bad haircut. The cost went way up for Plano even though I would prefer to be in Rockwall. The vibe is dead. Barbers are never consistently good. I have been sitting here for 1.5 hour waiting while barbers stand around talk, sweep the area where no one is working. Like Bro. Can I get a damn hair cut? This will be my last visit here. FYI, you pay a steep $20 premium for making an appointment. Walk-ins are $30. Appointments are $50 and carry a $30 cancellation fee. Heaven forbid if you show up early and want to get cut sooner. You''ll end up paying the $30 cancellation fee to get in with an available barber. You should give the discount to the appointments so you have a full schedule. Not the other way around. I've been here a half dozen times. I'm so sad, I just can't go here anymore. I don't even feel safe honestly. When the owner Randy worked here he cut my hair and did a great job. He was the best guy in the shop and even he would take feedback and listen, if you wanted something different. A true craftsman. Then I started going to this kid Matt and he was green but super cool with feedback. And after a few cuts we got into a rhythm and some good work was had. Then I got my last two cuts with Ali in the back right. He don't say nothing, can't hear much, just touches your hair with gloves on. It's all very Dexter like. Not very warm. Doesn't like feedback. Charges $65 for the privilege. Second time I called and made a reservation with the lady and asked her how much she said $50 (cuz I didn't want to pay Ali $75 again after tip) and I was told I would get Rob or some other name. Then I get this Ali guy again and I'm like awww damn I know I'm in for some shenanigans. So he rings me for $65 for a haircut. No beard. No neck razor like he even did the first cut. He did rinse my hair to begin but didn't rinse the hair out to style it. Whatever. His clipper work is weak. His fades are rough and when i ask him to go back over it he's precious and it's still just meh. Now I can't go back to this place. It now has been five days since that dreadful dapper "haircut". And for the past five days a question has been haunting the deepest depths of my mind. A question that nags at me like an annoying puppy dog that smells the have eaten burger in your to-go bag. A question that I don't have an answer for no matter how hard I try to find the reason why. The worst cut I ever received. Errick is the worst for a bunch of reason. I went in for a high and tight with a messy push. It's a very easy cut, barber shop 101. Think David Beckerman or Ryan Reynolds. For starters, he was 15 min late to the appointment. He spent an hour just to do a botched up poor, and he doesn't know how to cut using scissors. In total, my time in the shop was nearly 1:30 min. Before the cut I showed home pictures of what I wanted. After an hour of waisted hair and time, I tried to show him pictures and he he kept on saying, "I got it, I got it" when he clearly didn't get it. My fiancé was very excited to go here because of how nice it is and the location he was really excited to find a new barber. However after leaving here he was just so embarrassed of his hair he did not know what to do, his hair was all uneven it was so awful he has never had a cut this bad. When he went in for a correction (a skinny short Latina with black hair & tatoos) was very rude telling him that it's going to come out of her pay, and she took over an hour to do the correction and she even hit him in the head with the blow dryer during the service. After she was done his hair was cut Way too short and we were there for over an hour and a half. First of all I want to thank Arthuro for his excellent customer service. I came in low key about to break down bc I had just got my hair done there the day before and let me tell you it was botched. I truly felt like I could've been on that barber meme "just f my stuff up fam." So I was the crazy lady demanding to get it fixed. Arthuro was patient and understanding, all while not speaking bad on his coworker, which I respect. He fixed the hair even tho he was not the one that did the mess. Anyway I wanted to leave a review to provide a female perspective-- I already have a long bob but wanted to get an undercut on the back. So essentially just shave a triangle on my head. But the triangle lines were lopsided. I only noticed when I got home and took a pic of the back of my head cuz I thought I would see something real cute. Instead it was a nightmare. I feel like this place doesn't have an understanding of female hair (yet the guy claimed he had done a female undercut). The dude didn't clip up my hair, didn't offer to wash it, didn't part it (see pic, notice the raggedy lines). Also he was late to the appointment. ALSO my bf got a hot towel neck massage. The first time I came in to Dapper I did not know what to expect, and my experience was not very good. After talking to the owner through Yelp, (and he was very helpful, and went to great lengths to fix the issues I had had) I returned for another try at a haircut. This time was much different, and I am starting to understand what Dapper is about. This is not a sit down in a chair and get your hair ground down. This experience is more of a wind down with a beer, and get cleaned up sort of place. It will not be fast, unless somehow you can talk them into it, and it shouldn't be. The website says that it will take an hour, and it will, but thats the point. Today's try two was outstanding, and one of my only two regrets were that i could not take full advantage of a drink and my first experience was not as good. Thanks Dani for a great cut! read more

I started going to get my hair in 2022, I became a regular with one of their barbers Firuz, at first he was great, he kept our appointments and, did an overall good job, after awhile, he became busy which does not surprise me as he is real good when he wants to be., probably the best this shop has if not one of the top barbers, that being said I noticed after awhile that he just became too comfortable and , didn't do as good as he was at the beginning, i began looking for someone else, I also had trouble scheduling with him as he is very busy, sometimes I would have to wait a week, this is my fault for not making an appointment in advance. When i was going to him initially he charged 55.00 which is higher than other places but, i felt he is good so, it is ok. Last year i found someone just as good if not better and, half the price he charged in addition, he was super close to my house so, I decided to try him, he was excellent and, he was available most any time i needed him, unfortunately he moved out of state, not sure why but, that's life. I went to another place but, I didn't find a good barber so, I decided to book again w Firuz, i had to wait 5 days since he was busy, i had an appointment for 11 am. I knew he was always on time so i made sure i was a few minutes early., checked in and waited, i saw he had a client but what was disconcerting is that he was chatting with him more than 3, 4 times and, he would stop... ???!!! I was like, did he forgot he has a client waiting ?????!!!! Then i would see him many times texting aswell.... 20 minutes passed and, i was DONE... I waited nearly half an hour for him... i finally went to the front desk to ask.. ''. I had an 11 am appointment do you know how much longer is he going to take????? So the gal at the front desk goes to ask, he looked like i was bothering him and just signaled 2 as in 2 minutes..!!! By now i was just done waiting, this is very unprofessional to have a client waiting and to take your sweet time and to be chatting with your client time and time again and then turns around and goes to his phone...?????????? Really now, after 25 minutes I looked at my watch and said, I will only give this 2 more minutes and then, i will walk out., fortunately he was done in those 2 extra minutes which was just about 30 minutes late.... Yeah, 30 minutes!! , he never offer an apology and said hello as if nothing..!! Who does this???? Anyhow he proceeds to begin cutting my hair and, i had a client meeting that i needed to get back to so, i was super pressed for time, my hopes where that he would be efficient and, will get me done quickly, to my added surprise, he continue the same thing he was doing when i was waiting... there were so many new barbers and most of them looked very young, there was one right across from where we where that kept chatting up w Firuz, 4 times they both were talking about i don't know what but,it wasn't a casual quick 10 seconds question, on the 4th time, i had it!!!! I asked firuz to please get back to my haircut as i had to go!!! On top of this he kept texting through out my time time and time again... not aware that I waited for him 30 minutes! Apparently his texts and chatting to the other barbers comes first here.... He had been doing this kind of behavior since i was going to him but now, now it is just disrespectful and rude, you made me wait 30 minutes and you have the nerve to still stop your work to chat away ?? The cherry on top was the price... he charged me 80.00 for a basic cut!!! No shave, no hot towel nothing, just a haircut and a wash, on the wash he nearly burned me a few times, i had to ask him to not have the water so hot... what does this guy think??? When i inquired about the price he told me, ' it is on my website'. Well,... I didn't go to your website since i know you, i booked my appointment on the phone., none told me you had raised your already high price 25.00 more?? How ?? Why??? This barber shop does not warrant a 80.00 haircut!! It is ok but nothing extravagant to warrant this price, I recently moved from Los Angeles California and, not even there they charge 80.00 for a basic haircut at a normal barber shop!!! My stylist was in Beverly Hills and she would charge me 65.00!! This is Beverly Hills and, it is an upscale salon, not a barber shop... on top of that she would give me a free clean up 2 weeks after my haircut, they were very professional, a boutique salon where you felt that the service was on another level. I scheduled an online appointment for a haircut and shave with Pedro. The online scheduling process was smooth and efficient. Luckily I was able to secure a spot on the same day. As I walked in, I was quickly greeted and offered something to drink. Overall, I was very pleased with the barber shop itself and level of service from the barber. First time there and I will not be going back. After calling and asking who could do a bold fade and could also work with thick hair I was told that Pedro was the man for the job. Once there I told Pedro what I wanted, I showed him a picture of what I wanted. I also told him if he thought he couldn't do what I showed him to tell me what he could do with my hair. He said he needed to clean it up some and it would be a process. He never mentioned he would do something completely different from the picture I showed him. Even as he started cutting my hair I could see he wasn't aiming at the picture I showed him. He kept styling my hair to the side, I told him twice that's not how I wanted it; he told me once he styled it my hair would look straight up. Well as he finished my hair was cut and styled to the side just like I told him at least twice I didn't want. I told him exactly that, he got upset and tried to straighten it up as he caught an attitude with me but it was too late he had already cut my hair to the side. He told me that's just the way my hair wants to part. I've had several cut where my hair will go straight. Again he probably should have said so when I told him I wanted my hair straight up just like the picture I showed him.
